He furrowed his eyebrows "bank alerts?"

"Credit bank alerts. Credit bank alerts with lots of money."

Xiao Ai placed her hands on his and stared at him. "Now that we are at it..how about.."

"How about you return my bank card. I got a huge alert after handing it to you. Did you buy shares?"

She held a straight face as she reached for her pocket." No I didn't buy shares. I repaid a debt. Didn't you give it to me? since when did you lend me?"

Gu Bojing sighed and shrugged his shoulder before wearing a faint smile. "My lovely independent wife, when are you returning the card I lent you."

She scoffed and paused a bit. "I was going to return it...I was going to give it back just now. I have money too and I am very independent." She passed him a card. "Here...thank you for letting me use this."

Gu Bojing smiled warmly and placed his hand on the card. "You are welcome." He tried moving the card but Xiao Ai still had her evil claws on it.

He applied more pressure and tried moving the card but Xiao Ai applied MORE pressure in keeping it still. Gu Bojing stared into her eyes and smiled.

"My wife, I thought you were returning this. Why-do-you-have-such-deathly-grip-on-my-bank-card?" He asked slowly pronouncing each word.

Xiao Ai moved the card towards her and this caused Gu Bojing to move with it. His chest hit the table and he had no choice but to leave it to her.

Xiao Ai gave a scary smile.

Gu Bojing dusted his hands and stared at her, he slowly whispered. "How is she so strong?"

"I used to be a bully in high school and I used to belong to a gang too. My Husband, i am stronger than you think." She raised a brow and placed the card in his face. " I will be holding onto this till tomorrow night. I have to host the elders and i dont have money so i will be using this."

"Ohh...i thought you didn't like asking me for money."

"I dont. I mean hubby it doesn't go well with my independent woman self but what can I do, my bank account is lying in a hospital bed."

Gu Bojing gave her a side glance and adjusted his jacket as he whispered. "Bolin is trying. Bless him."

Xiao Ai relaxed in her chair. "Did you say something?"

She nodded her head and stared at the card. Seeing her with such a carefree expression, he felt like he had just traveled back in time.

Back then, she would sit at the table and boss him around.

"If you have the guts to like me, shouldn't you have the guts to take care of me. You little idiot. Come here and serve your wife." was what she would say.

And as the puppy love sick boy he was he did everything she wanted even going against his own principle.

"You are not thinking of using your husbands money to take girls out, are you?"

For a brief moment, guilt washed over her face but she quickly masked it. "Of course not!. What do you take me for?"

He smiled at her and got up. "Shall we leave?"

"Right behind you" she replied in a boring tone.

"Come on, what if I am accused of bullying you. Ladies first."

She walked to the door and looked back at him before opening it. She kept walking slow which made Gu Bojing wonder what she was up to.

"But, Mrs Gu, why have you been walking so slowly?"

Xiao Ai who was settling the bill glared at him.

"That's how I walk, if you can't accept it then you walk ahead first."

After settling the bill, Gu Bojing urged her to walk forward. Xiao Ai kept walking slow so Gu Bojin would give her slight shove on the back every few seconds.

"I am walking. I am walking. Dont push me."

"This isn't how you walk Mo Ai."

"You dont walk like this when you scam Bolin. Your legs move more fast. We haven't even reached the door!"
