"I mean men in their 20s, 30s you know. Can the driver hurry up or should I take the wheel?"

The driver looked at the young lady through the mirror. "We cant break road protocols."

"F**k the protocols. We are an emergency. Currently we are the protocols. Step on that pedal. Quick. More."

"Psychologist Mo, is everything fine? You seem more agitated than I am."

"Theres something i have to pick at the scene. Be quick."

If it seemed the same to the one she picked at the restroom, then perhaps her intuition would be right.

On getting to the scene, Xiao Ai rolled down from the car before he could park properly. The inspector was surprised.

"Such agile lady. I blame her youth."

The scene was at the alley of a restaurant. There was no CCTV present but there was one that was on the main road leading to the alley. And the restaurant had one placed directly in front of the building.

Xiao Ai moved quickly to the scene examining the body of the gentle man who seemed to be in his early twenties.

Due to police protocol, no one was allowed to leave the restaurant yet.

She walked around the man and examined the blade in his lower region and heart. He was stabbed twice.

The murdrer wasn't very good at this. She examined more and wore gloves to sniff his shirt and hair. Then she picked on it.

She smiled and spoke to the inspectors.

"I would like to see the cctv of the restaurant as soon as possible."

The inspector spoke to the owner of the restaurant and they were shown the footage from a hour ago.

People came in and out and Xiao Ai noticed someone pass through the street to the alley. It was the young man but he went alone and more confusing was no one left the alley entrance.

There were no CCTV behind as it led to an industrial Road and then to Gu Building.

Gu Building! Xiao Ai thought. It couldn't be what she was thinking. She looked from one customer to another. They were all seated with tension some not very aware of the current situation and some hoping they wont be implicated but there was a cup at a table that was empty with no one.

"Did someone sit there?"

The manager replied. "It was the victim. He was waiting for his girlfriend."

"Did she arrive?" The inspector continued seeing Xiao Ai was walking round the table again.

"No she didnt, but he left in a hurry. Saying he had to go somewhere."

"Did you get his phone?" She directed the question to the inspector.

"The police have it." When he saw a subtly smile on her face, he frowned. "Did you find something?"

"I just picked what I wanted again. I will leave to catch up with Psychiatrist Long."

The inspector stared at her till she left and then glanced at the manager. When he couldn't stop himself he asked. "Did she pick something?"

"No she didnt."

"Then why..."

"It could be a scent. She might have picked a scent."

He quickly went round the table sniffing. Strangely he couldn't catch anything except for the coffee smell. How is she able to pick a scent when all that smelt here was coffee.

Once Xiao Ai met with Lifen and the criminal Psychologist, she told them about her findings.

"I sniffed something. A scent. Very similar to the one in the gents as well."

Lifen shifted closer curious. "Can you describe it?"

Xiao Ai thought for a while. She couldn't find exact words. "I am not sure but it was kind of unique except that I think I caught a whiff of ethanol from the gents."

"The police said he was drunk." Psychologist Du filled.

"I know that smell no matter how little it may be. I work in an ethanol scented environment. I know ethanol raw from alcohol. The scent was fresh, smelling like baby. Kind of you know just fresh.."

Lifen sat back in her chair. "My dear dog friend. Your doggy nose can pick a scent but it cant describe it.." she clicked her tongue. "How very disappointing."

Xiao Ai shoved her further and Lifen playfully slapped her back. "We will have to Meet With Miss Ling no matter..." she stopped, seemed to be thinking of something before she finally smiled. In an evil manner.

"No Xiao Ai we are gentle women." Lifen said but Xiao Ai raised a brow at her.

"We will like to leave now if you do not have anything further for us Psycologist Du."

"Psychologist Mo about the lesbian woman that was killed, she also smelled of alcohol."

Xiao Ai and Lifen stred at each other. "When the forensics are done with the examining please let us have a look as well."

"No problem. Have a good day ladies."

"Thank you." Lifen replied.
