Did she wear this flimsy gown for nothing? He wouldn't even look at where he was supposed to look. Guess she would have to work tonight then. She found the papers for the case and started going through them.

Her partner in crime, Xiao Ai was also doing the same.

It was few minutes to twelve when she noticed that her hubby hadn't come in to sleep.

She dragged her tired feets to the study and was surprised to meet him in the same position she had left him. He was leaning on the book shelf, eyes closed. His face depicted a sadness she was used to.

Why couldn't he just see that she...she wouldnt be enough.

She didnt like that he felt too much for her and it made her feel even more guilty.

"Hmm..hmmm..." she cleared her throat. "Are you trying to make me seem like the bad woman. Come to bed."

He opened his eyes only to stare at her through red hazy eyes. He straightened up but because he had been standing for too long, he was imbalanced and Xiao Ai quickly rushed forward to balance him on her shoulders.

"Why were you standing for long...did you drink?"

He smiled and tipped his head sideways. She saw a bottle of wine and gasped. "I thought the drinks in the study weren't for getting drunk Mr Gu." She scolded. "To top it you drank while standing. Do you not have a sense of responsibility towards your health?"

"Dont nag me Doctor Mo...when it comes to you...I am a fool..." he chuckled and held his heart as if he had been gripped from the inside.

Xiqo Ai shook her head while helping him towards their room. "When it comes to feelings, Mr Gu you have to feel for the right person. You only have yourself to blame." She dumped him on the bed and helped him settle in well.

Gu Bojing held her hands..."In your world of levity..you must think one is able to control who you fall for. Even if you know they are bad you just cant help but fall deeply in love." He adjusted his pillows as he caressed her hands, his eyes clear and staring at her. "We can only blame the Almighty for not placing in us the ability to stop loving...it really..." he slurred and turned on his side..."really hurts.. I rea..really..like..."

She sat on the floor beside him for a while thinking about his words.

The following morning, Xiao Ai was already gone when Gu Bojing woke. She left him a note and some pills.

"You spill words when you are drunk Mr, Real words. I will be late today."

At work, Xiao Ai and Lifen were going through the papers together.

"Dont you think, we are taking this too slow?" Lifen began. "I mean in the past if we wanted to find someone, we would usually not take our time like this."

"We wont be using our resources for this."she rubbed her eyes thirdly.

Baozhai was passing by and placed a drink on Xiao Ais table.

Xiao Ai glanced at her and then at Lifen.

"I mistakenly put more coins in the vending machine. " she lied. "Throw it out if you dont want. Marriage doesn't suit you. You...you look pale. Divorce!" She shouted and rushed away.

Xiao Ai surprised opened the can drink and sipped a little. "How dare she curse me early in the morning."

"You are not going to share that?" Lifen aksed.

"Call your sister to get you a drink too."

Lifen slammed her hands on the table. "You know I have none."

"Ooops...my bad." She faked a sorry expression before going through the papers again.

"How about we use our method."

Xiao Ai stared at her for a while before understanding what she was saying. "And what can we possibly use. How about we bet on a trip to Dubai?"

"You want to leave your husband already?"

She sighed. "Not that..just everyone is going to Dubai for rest. I really want to know what's in there. I heard they have lots of gold too." her eyes glimmers greedily.

Lifen agreed and told her. "Why dont you go to Saudi Arabia to steal gold? The idea sound perfect." She raised a brow.

Xiao Ai held her neck and tried to shrink further into her clothe. "I love my neck. I heard they have a strict law there."
