Harry Potter: Blood Of The Dragon Chapter 70

The ministry sent letters to all concerned Pureblood families and those part of Wizengamot. It had a copy of Merlin's creation of Wizengamot paper and also Magnus' condition that they must sign to get their vaults back.
There were a lot of angry reactions, but they could not afford to make Magnus angry either as he held their money. But, now they had to keep their money hostage to even have the right to use it. It was unacceptable but what could they do?
Though they felt happy that there would be a Wizengamot meeting soon and they would get to talk face to face. They hoped to get a response by then, after all, it was just kid versus so many sharp-minded pureblood adults.
...
Hogwarts,
Magnus went back to being busy with Quidditch. Things were going normal now as he reduced interacting with Lucius, or it was the other way around.
In the school as well, some kids from pureblood families had started to stay away from him. Magnus felt that he would soon need to do something to bring these kids to his side, after all, he could not influence their parents but he could stop them from turning to the dark side.
Meanwhile, Ragnar and Snape kept themselves busy in their creation of new potions so they could get rich. Ragnar also started to dabble into Runes with Magnus and Merlin was helping them, although only Magnus could hear Merlin in the portrait. Duck, Chad and Summer still played around in the room. Duck had now grown bigger than Chad and it was getting tougher to keep him a secret. But thankfully, the Christmas holidays were coming soon.
Arthur, though, had been jumping around in various portraits and exploring the castles. His favourite pastime was to annoy the hell out of some teachers by asking stupid questions about the magical world. The teachers also could only suck it up out of respect but they internally cursed him.
Today, it was Dumbledore's turn to get annoyed... or enlightened.
...
Headmaster's office.
Dumbledore was in a very important meeting with the previous headmaster of Hogwarts, Armando Dippet, man was 335 years old and was one of the oldest wizards alive.
It was during his time that Grindelwald rose to power and the chamber of secrets was opened. In his position, he was responsible for the employment of Horace Slughorn, Albus Dumbledore, Herbert Beery, Silvanus Kettleburn and possibly Galatea Merrythought as teachers at Hogwarts. It is also known that he was responsible for hiring Minerva McGonagall, having offered her "a job in the Transfiguration department, under Head of Department, Albus Dumbledore".
"You are right, Albus, who would have thought. The sweet boy I knew was a snake in hiding..." Dippet showed his sorrow.

"That is why I asked you to come here. If there is anything you can remember... that can help us bring him down before it gets too big." Dumbledore asked.
Dippet shook his head, "I can't think of anything... he did ask me what would happen if the attack during the opening of the chamber of secrets continues. I told him that the school would have to be closed. Surprisingly, the attack stopped after that, but, nobody questioned that bright student back then, poor Hagrid was so wronged."
"WHAT IN THE MERLIN'S BEARD? WHO ARE YOU?" Suddenly a loud shout came from one of the portraits.
Dumbledore and Dippet turned to look at the origin, it turned out to be the portrait of old and grumpy, Phineas Nigellus Black, the headmaster before Dippet.
Looking closely, they saw another figure in the ex-headmaster's portrait. It was a tall man, a blue-eyed blonde man in leather armour, with a sheathed greatsword.
Dumbledore didn't recognise the man as he was seeing him for the first time.
"Bow to your king, mumbo-jumbo doers. I am the one and only, the best, the most handsome, King Arthur Pendragon." Arthur introduced himself.
"Huh... you are not my king... GO WAY MUDBLOOD!" Phineas Nigellus Black barked at him.
*SSSHHHH...*
Arthur unscathed his long sword in a swift motion and held it in his two hands. He looked at the old form of Nigellus Black with narrow eyes.
"You sex-dungeon dweller, this Mudblood's mighty sword is getting an urge to stab someone's gut... I wonder who will be its new victim... yes... that was your cue to shut up... you can't use your magic but I can surely use my sword and I know for a fact that you wizards are weak when it comes to hand to hand to hand manly fights.
"I've tamed and hunted berserk dragons with my bare hands, what are you compared to those mighty divine beasts?"
It did the magic and Phineas Nigellus Black shut up in fear. Then Arthur turned to Dumbledore, "So, are you the owner of this fine establishment?"
"I'm not the owner, just an administrator who runs it." Dumbeldore clarified.
"Doesn't make you any less guilty of running a sex dungeon... what do you even do here?" Arthur asked.
Dumbeldore started having flashbacks of conversation with Magnus. It was fresh in his memories as it somewhat hurt his pride.
"I manage the money and make sure kids are happy and are not under any kind of risk..." Dumbledore answered, not expecting any kind of rude comment for this.
But, Arthur was Arthur, "Hmm, so you are like the jesters and eunuchs of my court? Do not worry, I don't judge people on the basis of their profession."

*COUGH*
Dumbledore choked on his lemon tea. "What? No no... I am the headmaster of this school."
"Ah, the head eunuch then," Arthur interjected.
Dumbledore facepalmed himself and did not say anything. Meanwhile, Dippet and many other portraits of previous headmasters were laughing.
Arthur also chuckled, "HAHA... I was just messing with you. I know what you do."
Dumbledore took a sigh of relief, "That was a very convincing act then."
Arthur nodded, "Of course, you develop such skills when you are king. I had even fooled Merlin many times when I didn't want to attend the court and instead desired to court some women... if you know what I mean... hehe..."
"Ah, now that you are here, your majesty, can you tell us how you defeated Morgan Le Fey?" Dippet asked to change the topic. Dumbledore hopefully looked forward to an answer.
Arthur puffed out his chest, "It was simple. I went ahead with Merlin, got her used up on her magic, then I went straight in front of my Bitch half sister's face... ah... did I use Bitch? Mind my language... it was meant to be Witch.
"Anyway, I went in front of my Bitch half sister's face, looked her in the eye and said.
"You can't be related to my blood. I don't go around sacrificing people in the name of rituals. As the king of these lands, I have a duty and the right to judge you... and your punishment is death is... DEATH."
"Then BAM. I kicked her onto a boulder and slid my Excalibur through her heart while Merlin supplied me magic for greater strength. She died while screeching... but, who would have known, she had decided not to die alone... Anyway, dealing with her was easy for the two of us. If it was just one of us, then maybe we wouldn't be talking right now... But, Merlin did say that there was nothing to fear as there were wizards in the world that were millennia old, living in secluded parts of the worlds. If we would have lost and my Bitch sister had continued expanding towards the rest of the world, then she would have died a much more painful death."
Dippet, Dumbledore and the headmasters in the portraits had their eyes shot open in shock. Dumbledore asked the question immediately, "Who are these wizards you are talking about?"
Arthur shrugged his shoulder, "I don't know. Nobody knows. They live secretly and just don't care about what goes on in the world. I'm sure some of them are still alive. I and Merlin had once met one at Stonehenge. The man was so old yet had a muscular body, only his white hair and white beard gave his age away. Other than this, he laughed too much. He told us that he had built the place as a ritual site... mind you... he was not talking about any dark rituals.
"But, when we arrived there, he was actually there to destroy it as he feared the world was getting darker and wizards would misuse it. We were the last users of it, though he only let us use it when we called him Grandpa. He probably had some strange fetishes.
"Anyway... I'm going away now. It's too boring to talk to you old foxes. I'll find my old pal, Sir Cadogan and talk about the golden days."
With that, he turned back to Nigellus Black, "You behave, or you will find my sword itching for some action... hmph."
He left as he had come.
Dumbledore and Dippet looked at each other's faces. Dippet sighed and spoke, "We were naive... We were ignorant, to see how scary the world truly is out there."
Dumbledore nodded, "True. But we can expect these old Wizards to never come out if they haven't till now."
"Yes, we can only expect it," Dippet muttered.
...
On Magnus' side, he had no concern about anything as the first official quidditch match had come. Slytherin vs Gryffindor. The bet made by Magnus had circulated all around the school, making it a heated topic. There was even a small column in the Daily Prophet about it.
Magnus stood in the tunnel leading to the quidditch field. Gryffindor's team was on his right. He looked at James.
"Get ready to run around the castle in little panties." Magnus mocked.
James' body shivered just thinking about it. But he was a Gryffindor. "Not gonna happen. You worry about yourself. Keep the money ready to buy new brooms for my team and yes... run around in underwear."
"Haha, wanna increase the stakes of the bet?" Magnus asked.
*Whistle*
James started whistling to not hear him anymore. Magnus shook his head and chuckled.
~Hmm... I guess people are getting scared of betting with me. Gotta lose once or twice.~ he thought and walked towards the open field. It was going to be a wild-wild match.

Fallout: Vault X
An original novel set in the Fallout universe, written to be accessible to all, featuring unique people and places. Vol.II. out now Fallout: Vault X tells the story of John. A vault dweller, who spent every day of his twenty five years underground. Like his father, and his father before him. Proud to live in the last remaining bastion of humanity, all that survived The Great War of the atomic age. Hidden deep below the surface of the earth, toiling under brutal conditions. Year after year, decade upon decade. All to expand into the natural cave system the Vault occupied, building for the future. However, John knew what his forefathers did not, that everything he’d been taught was a lie. After finishing school at the age of ten, John received his standard issue pipboy. An arm mounted personal computer, worn by everyone in the Vault. Used to coordinate the relentless pace of expansion, needed to work as an apprentice. To learn the craft that would be his life’s work. A noble calling to ensure a future for all that remained of the human race. A quirk of fate saw John equipped not with the crude, clunky, pipboy model his father wore. That almost everyone around him wore. His looked smaller, sleeker, finished in a jet black sheen. And capable of doing far more than its drab counterparts. The world above had been ravaged by atomic flames, yet life clung to its bones. The Red Valley fared better than most in the century since the bombs fell. The clean water and rich soil protected by rolling hills. All spared from direct strikes, for the most part. Life survived here. Trees spawned from charred ground, misshapen, green leaves turned red. Along with simple crops, grown wild at first, then cultivated by the survivors. The scavengers of the old world were inventive, hardy people. All determined to rebuild in the ruins of a world they never knew. In the decades that passed settlements emerged. They grew, spreading along the valley floor. Reclaiming the pre-war remnants of the once industrialised heartland. Salvaging the robotic wonders of a bygone age to build their walls and work their fields. To protect them in the dark of the wasteland. But such things are uncommon in this world, and the rarer something is, the greater its value. And the worth of pre-war technology had not gone unnoticed. The last, real, power in this world rested in the mechanised hands of The Brotherhood of Steel. Forged from the mortally wounded old world military. The Brotherhood used its access to the weapons made for a conflict no one won to strike out into the wastes. Men and women were equipped with advanced armour, aerial transportation, high grade weaponry. Accompanied by the training, strength, and will, to put them to use. They established chapters and set up outputs far and wide. All dedicated to a single purpose. To ensure the technology left abandoned by its long dead creators didn’t fall into the wrong hands. Namely, any hands that were not their own. This is the world John escaped into. A place of horrors brought forth from atomic fire. A place where survival meant battling against the darkness. Fighting a war each day to get to the next. And war...war never changes

Shades of the Moon
I'm rewriting this story! I have taken down Arc 2 and Arc 3 already to avoid spoiling my new novel. The only reason I'm keeping the first 10 chapters is nostalgia; the writing is awkward and the story is not plotted out properly, but it's here if anyone wants to compare it to the new one. If you'd like to read a more professionally written version of this story, I highly suggest checking out my Synergy. Synopsis version too-many-to-count: “I see,” Kiona said. “But . . . you’re changing once again, aren’t you?” The entity considered her question, lifting a clawed hand towards the night sky. They observed the back of their hand idly, watching the glowing orange veins pulse alongside their pitch-black exoskeleton. The wind picked up right then, and Kiona shivered—just as much from the cold as from the savage grin on the creature's face. “That’s right,” the entity said, clenching their hand slowly into a fist. They let out a quiet laugh, staring defiantly at the Moon as it rose from behind the clouds. “We are shades, yet not exactly. Not like the others. Here, in this world, we've become something more. We are the Shades of the Moon.” There was a heartbeat of silence, during which Kiona joined the entity in their skygazing. The light-green Moon loomed over the city, shining like the entity's eyes. It promised otherworldly knowledge and terrible secrets. It promised progress. It promised change. In that moment, Kiona couldn't have imagined anything more beautiful. “Shades of the Moon, huh?” she said, smiling a bit. It had a nice ring to it.
