Harry Potter: Blood Of The Dragon Chapter 131

Magnus returned to the living room, he rubbed his eyes to make sure he was not dreaming. Because it was now unrecognisable.
All the lamps were broken, the sofa was scratched, the curtains were torn apart, walls were a mess. The flower pots were thrown around and dirt was spread all over the floor.
And Ragnar was still on the couch, sleeping, on top of him Chad and Summer were sitting as if they were also shocked by what had happened.
"Alright, who did it?" Magnus asked them.
Both Summer and Chad pointed towards sleeping Ragnar. Magnus knew they were lying, but he didn't get too angry. After all, he was a wizard.
He waved his wand, "Reparo"
Automatically all the stuff that was broken started to fix itself and all the walls returned to their original state.
"WOOAAAHHH!" Bobby gasped in amazement. It was one of those magic spells that always felt too unreal, even to Magnus.
In just a few minutes everything sorted itself into places and the living room once again looked neat and clean.
"Thank god Abe and George were not here, they would have forced me not to use magic and let them clean the place themselves. They think Reparo charm does not clean the place completely." Magnus muttered.
Sirius chuckled, "Heh, yeah, I think all house elfs have some kind of a cleaning disorder."
"It's called Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, a medical term." Bobby chimed in.
"Well, we can go outside and have some fun but Ragnar is asleep. What should we do to him? Merlin, any suggestions?" Magnus asked the old man relaxing in the portrait.
"Lemon juice with a lot of pepper, a full glass of it," Merlin suggested.
"Ah... poor Ragnar." Bobby pitted the sleeping boy.
Magnus quickly went to the kitchen and squeezed lots of lemons in a glass and then put 2 spoonfuls of red pepper powder.
"This should do the job." He thought and went to Ragnar.
"Bobby, keep his mouth open." He instructed.
He then proceeded to pour the contents of the glass into Ragnar's mouth. But slowly. Soon, half of the glass was empty, and that was when Ragnar's eyes shot open wider than they thought they could.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAA...."
"Marvellous, we have another dragon in the house," Merlin commented from the side.
"WHAT DID... MY MOUTH IS BURNING... AAAAAA..." Ragnar started running around.
But before he could run to drink water and make it worse, Bobby quickly handed him a bottle of flavoured milk. Ragnar quickly chugged it down. Then he chugged two more bottles.

Then he finally calmed down and looked at Magnus with rageful eyes. "WHY?"
"Merlin suggested it. He said you will wake up after this. Also, you were high." Magnus clarified.
"Just the lemon juice would have been fine, why the pepper?" Ragnar asked.
"For flavour... alright, I'll head to another room," Merlin said from the portrait and dashed away.
"DAMN YOU!" Ragnar went ahead and destroyed the portrait. But, Merlin had already left by then.
*Pat Pat*
Chad patted on Ragnar's head. Magnus also did the same, "Calm down, boy."
*BAM*
"Stop acting innocent." Ragnar threw his hand aside.
"Come on, we were going out to the park. It's summer, let's play now." Bobby reminded them and started leaving, not wasting time.
All of them headed out and arrived at the biggest park in the area. They were on bicycles. Bobby had one and Magnus and Ragnar had one each. Sirius sat behind Magnus.
Once they arrived at the park, they were confused about what to even play. So, Magnus decided it was a good opportunity to practice close combat.
"Let's practice fighting. We will also speak various spells while fighting and try to overcome them. Remember, it's all a simulation." Magnus suggested and everyone agreed to it.
The first to fight were Magnus and Sirius. Both of them stood a distance from each other, with sticks as wands.
"Hehe, how will we even fight when you can't get close to me?" Sirius asked. He was confident that before Magnus could even come close to him he would have cast a charm.
Magnus smiled, "Try me."
"START!" Ragnar acted as the umpire.
"STUPEF...!" Sirius shouted.
"Haha..." Magnus laughingly threw his house keys at Sirius before he could complete the spell and dashed towards him at the same time.
Now, even as Sirius completes the spell, it will only hit the keys, while Magnus was already very close to him.
"Impedimenta" Magnus cast. It was a spell that prevented the victim from approaching the caster.
But, Sirius didn't even know what this spell was as he had not read about it yet.
Magnus zigzagged and soon arrived right in front of Sirius and locked his leg to trip Sirius.
*THUD*
Sirius fell down while Magnus sat on top of him and the wooden stick was at Sirius' neck. Everything happened so fast that Sirius had no time to even think.
"Merlin's Tits... you were so fast... like a wild animal," Sirius exclaimed in shock.

"Hehe... of course, I have dragon's blood after all." He replied and helped him get up.
Next, Magnus looked at Ragnar, "Your turn,"
"Hehe... prepare yourself for the payback." Ragnar happily came forward. The poor soul didn't really have much use for his wand as he sucked at most of the charms, but he was indeed working hard to at least become proficient at common spells.
They stood at a distance initially. Magnus didn't even use his wand to keep the match even, but he knew that Ragnar would have used his potions if he were to use wands.
"Here I come," Magnus said and once again dashed to his opponent. Ragnar instead didn't even move and stayed in one spot. He looked at Magnus coming close to him and started calculating the time of arrival.

~NOW~ he counting in his brain. And as soon as Magnus was at arm's length, he opened his mouth and blew out some kind of silver powder. It hit Magnus's face directly.
Magnus felt as if he had turned blind all of a sudden. Everything seemed white and flashing around him.
"WHAT THE HELL..." He cursed.
"Hehe... I got you." Ragnar chuckled.
"NUTCRACKER KICK!"
*BAM*
In pain, Magnus' mouth opened, but no sound came from it, just pain-filled air. He fell back to the ground while holding his family jewels.
"May the Lord have mercy." Bobby prayed for him.
Ragnar proudly smirked, "You like that? You thought I was weak? Hehe, I've got a million ways to fight, and I don't shy away from fighting dirty."
Magnus, though, knew he couldn't complain, as this was a fair and square fight. It's just that he didn't act carefully and that's why he was taken by surprise.
It took a few minutes for Magnus to return to normal. The pain also healed in time.
"Phew... It's still there." Magnus looked inside his pants with relief.
"Magnus, fight me now." Bobby suddenly voiced.
He didn't say no. But he was now certain it was going to be a strict muggle fight. The two didn't stand too far this time.
Bobby and Magnus slowly got closer to each other. Bobby had both his fists up near his chest and eyes focused on Magnus.
~Why does he look so prepared?~ Magnus wondered while looking at Bobby's stance.
Magnus made a big step forward and sent his fist towards Bobby's face.
"WHAT?"
But to his shock, Bobby was so damn fast. He ducked and sidestepped, immediately getting a clear aim on Magnus' cheeks. He took the shot.
*BOOM*
*BAM*
Bobby's punch landed straight at Magnus' cheekbones. But Magnus had also sent a fist to Bobby's stomach.
Both of them fell to the ground. Magnus was so shocked by this, Bobby, though, was laughing madly.
"HAHAHA... finally... my hard work paid off," Bobby told himself.
Magnus quickly got up and asked, "How did you do that, Bobby?"
Bobby proudly smirked, "Well, I don't know, but since I started drinking that special potion from Ragnar, I've been feeling so healthy and strong. So, I started taking boxing classes for self-defence. And look, I was able to punch a wizard right in the face... Money well spent."
Magnus was still in shock, looking at Ragnar and Sirius.
Ragnar, with a satisfied smile, went to Bobby and helped him get up, "Hehe, congrats on beating the future king of Britain and good to know my potion works. It's nothing too special, just keeps your health at its peak, but there is one thing extra it does, it increases your bone and muscle density slightly."
"No wonder I feel so strong," Bobby said while looking at his hand.
Magnus was still standing a distance away, looking at his own hands, ~Even Bobby is getting so strong. Why is my strength not progressing as fast as before now? What good is my magic if I can not keep my body safe?~
*PAT PAT*
Sirius patted Magnus' back, "Don't start crying now."
"Oh really? I'll make you cry. All of you versus me, let's do it." Magnus proclaimed.
But, they ignored him and headed to a small shop nearby to eat something.
"Guys... I was joking... I will not make you cry. Just one match." He ran after them.
But they were unable to realise that someone was watching them all this time, and may have gotten a wrong estimation of Magnus' strength due to him holding back his magical powers.

Cutting to Life: an NPC LitRPG (Battle Royale)
Nikola is an NPC in The World of Wills, a video game where players can feel sensations as if they were truly there. She leads a life of bloodshed and murder - that is, until one day she wakes up sapient. Just as she begins thinking real, non-scripted thoughts and making connections, she and the players in the game are told that if they die in the game, they die in real life - and it's time to get killing. But what of Nikola, the emerging AI consciousness? How does she win in a game that can only end in her being wiped from existence at the end of it all? - Updates Mondays and Fridays. Cutting to Life is a slow-burn LitRPG with a villainous (later anti-hero, or maybe still villainous, haha) female lead. It's told from the perspective of Nikola, an NPC within the World of Wills who's become sapient and is now mysteriously able to play the game as a PC. It's quite light for a LitRPG, but the system and stats become more of a focus later when Nikola herself can access them. The story gradually builds into a Battle Royale where the players' lives are on the line (if you die in the game, you die in real life), and only one party of savvy adventurers can win. They'll have to spend their time and stats wisely as dungeons promising rare gear float down from the sky - but is a legendary sword worth killing someone for, knowing they'll stay dead forever? - This story is told in third person, past tense.- This is a slow-burn LitRPG that spends a lot of time establishing its setting and characters, because I believe this will make for a better payoff in the end. As such, the Battle Royale doesn't start until chapter 30 or so.- Chapters are anywhere between 800 words and 3000 words long.- Book cover by Vixeona.Cutting to Life is also being posted on SPB and Scribble Hub.Thank you sincerely for reading.
