Harry Potter: Blood Of The Dragon Chapter 180

It took Adam 2 hours to test the batteries and also fit them in the car. They were now going to see how far it could go with how much battery. Soon, they got in the car and rolled out.
The car was surely eye candy. Every single person on the sidewalk would turn their heads and look. They gasped, awed and whistled. The car was also running very silently on the street. They had to use the horn a lot as many people jaywalked and didn't notice the car since there was no sound.
"HAHA... Dad, how fast can it go?" Magnus asked while enjoying the ride.
Adam wanted to go faster but almost controlled himself, he didn't want to start a scandal or something. "It can go from 0 to 100 in 4 seconds. This is the joy of an electric motor engine, it is much more responsive."
They didn't head straight to the hospital. First, they went to a fancy restaurant to book a table.
But, a funny scene happened there. When they all got out of the car and went to give the keys to the valet, the valet gave the key back, saying, "Sir, I don't know how to drive this car."
So, they just called the manager. The Valet thought they were going to complain about him, but he was fully ignored. instead, Adam joyfully greeted the manager, as they both knew each other and were friends.
They booked a table for dinner and then zoomed to the Royal Military Hospital. Since Adam was a pretty high ranking officer, they were allowed entry in their strange car.
They simply drove to the front of the main gate of the building where Grace was supposed to come. They waited there for about ten minutes when she finally arrived.
There were already a lot of people, admiring the car and making noise. So Grace also looked. And just then, the windows of the car slowly slid down, music blasting, and with the beat, all three were shaking their heads comically.
It was a surprise for her, a pleasant one at that. She laughed seeing them, "Hahaha... why didn't you tell me you were coming to get me?"
"It was a sudden plan, mum." Magnus and Ragnar got out of the car to greet her.
They both hugged her tightly, while Grace patted their heads, "Aw... my sweet blondies are back. Let's go, I will cook something tasty today."
"No mum, we are going out to eat tonight. We booked the table." Ragnar informed her.
*BEEP BEEP*
Adam honked the car, "Come on, let's go for a ride, Grace. Don't you want to see the car your dear husband made?"

She slowly came to the front passenger side and looked at the sleek design, "Is this safe?"
"Absolutely, structural integrity was given very high priority while making it." Adam defended his car.
Then Grace got in and they all left. Meanwhile, everyone else, the staff and colleagues of Grace just looked jealous. Some from the car, some men from Adam and some women from Grace. In their eyes, this was what a perfect family was supposed to be like.
...
They arrived at the fancy hotel soon after. This time Adam himself parked the car. Grace put her arm around Adam's while Ragnar and Magnus walked ahead of them. She had a long coat to wear over her uniform, since being in uniform in public was somewhat dangerous.
They had booked a pretty nice corner table overlooking the street outside from the window. As soon as they sat down, Magnus took out his wand secretly and cast a charm.
"What was that?" Grace inquired.
"Muffliato charm. It stops others from overhearing us. Severus invented this charm. Seriously, these days I feel I'm mediocre at best compared to these two." Magnus said with a sad face.
"Lies, you're the best at Martial Magic," Ragnar argued.
But Magnus knew he shouldn't talk about this kind of magic. Or one thing might lead to another and some secrets might come out.
"That's pretty convenient. Let's order food first. What do you want to eat? Oh, Ragnar created the Battery, we need to celebrate that as well. Order anything you want." Adam spoke.
Ragnar looked at the menu, "Hmm, I'm very hungry. Let's go with this. Roasted Chicken, Fried Chicken, Chicken Sandwich, Chicken Soup, Chicken curry... Chicken rice..."
"Woah Woah... Ragnar, are you planning on exterminating all the chickens in the country? Who's going to eat so much?" Magnus stopped him.
"Aren't I ordering for all of us?" Ragnar confusedly asked.
In the end, everyone ordered whatever they liked. Ragnar, of course, ordered everything he named, just in a portion for one person.
After this, Magnus and Ragnar just talked about their school life. They also told them about how Ragnar created the battery.
"Does this mean that you are ready to be announced as the prince?" Grace asked Adam.
Adam nodded, "Yes, as soon as the patents are cleared, we will be clear to go. *Sigh* It still feels a bit strange to me."
Magnus tried to console him, "Don't worry, dad. You can keep on working on your hobbies even later. In fact, the car you made and the battery you and Ragnar made is going to be a huge deal in the coming future. Just imagine, if all cars in our country became electric, we wouldn't have to buy oil that much. So much money will be saved, money that can be used to better the infrastructure."

"Well, anything for you, Magnus. Okay, how about you, Ragnar? How's your time going? Any trouble lately?" Adam asked, trying not to ignore their adopted son.
Ragnar was just happy to be there, "No, dad. I'm good, I am making many good potions now. Someday, I will create the biggest magical potions company in the world. And oh! I forgot to tell you, don't worry about the battery, even if someone steals its designs, they can't make it without the use of magic."
Magnus sighed, "Does that mean I will need to find more wizards to work for us? By the speed I am doing this, I'm afraid at one point all wizards will be working for me."
"AH! BIG BROTHER!"
All of a sudden a squeaky voice pierced Magnus' ears. He quickly turned around and looked, it turned out to be the same little girl he had saved from the kidnappers, the daughter of the prosecutor.
He remembers being told by Grace in a letter that this little girl had been giving many interesting interviews.
She was with her parents it seemed, as there was a man holding her hand and there was also a woman. The man was also looking at Magnus as the little girl tried to drag him towards him.
Grace was quick to recognise the girl, "Oh, isn't this Ava? Hello, dear."
"Hello, aunty. Woah... you're so pretty, just like Big Brother Magnus, oh, who is this?" She noticed Ragnar.
Magnus introduced, "This is Ragnar, my brother, that is my dad and mum."
"You all are so pretty, I stay with you now." She somehow got out of her dad's grip and jumped onto Magnus' lap. She had totally changed her family it seemed.
The man in the suit then came forward and apologised, also recognising Magnus in an instant. "Ah, sorry, Mr Grant. Ava is a very hyperactive kind of girl. I am Liam Smith, Crown Prosecutor, and this is my wife, Isabella, a private lawyer."
Magnus didn't mind, "It's fine. Ava is a very good girl. She was one of those who didn't cry that day."
"YES! And why would I cry? Badman is gone now, right?" Ava asked.
Magnus patted her head and nodded, "Yes, he's gone and all those that are left are also getting caught."
This was true, the whole country's police had suddenly gone into a hyperactive mode, trying to gain back the respect. They were now going after every sex offender as if he had sinned against the queen herself.
"Why don't you join us, I'm sure they can attach another table here," Grace offered.
Now was it that Liam and Isabella noticed something. Grace was a celebrity these days. Isabella was in fact was much more knowledgeable.
"Aren't you the one who made the new stent? I work for Tonks & Tonks, I oversaw your case against the American companies." Isabella spoke.
Grace politely thanked her, "Oh, thank you. I didn't know Ted had put such a good lawyer on the case. Please sit with us, Ava will also enjoy it more."
"YES! I will eat with big brother Magnus and Ragnar. Feed me, brothers." Ava said cutely.
Magnus and Ragnar chuckled awkwardly. This girl was too open with them.
"Mr Smith, why was Ava kidnapped? I'm sure that they didn't deal with kids of such a small age," Magnus asked Liam.
Liam sighed, "I think I know the answer, but there is no possibility of getting the proof."
Seeing this, Adam spoke as Magnus couldn't, being a kid. "Tell us, maybe we can help. Our connections go way above to the highest level, Mr Smith."
"I think it's because of the corruption case against a few MPs I was investigating. I was put to head a committee that was supposed to investigate the corruption in the allocation of funds for the underground tunnel to be built under the English Channel, connecting Britain and France through a rail route. But, due to some corruption, the whole project is pushed back. The amount of bribery is in tens of millions. I don't see anyone else powerful or rich enough to plan my daughter's kidnapping." Liam explained, without taking any names.
Adam couldn't do anything about it, well at least for now. As soon as he becomes the crown prince, he will have a lot of power to at least make sure justice is served.
And then, the food arrived. Ava was still sitting on Magnus' lap. The 5-year-old asked to be fed by her beautiful brother.
"First, stop calling me beautiful. Call me handsome, only then I will feed you." Magnus tried to teach her some manners.
[A/N: I will try to speed up the muggle side part.]

In Range
A young, talented, and aspiring archer makes his way to the Olympic Archery Qualifiers; however an accident prevents him from ever making it. An accident which took the final years of his adolescence, his dream of ever becoming an Olympic Gold Archer, and most importantly someone who meant the world to him. Rehabilitating for a year in a hospital, the despair and dread of being alone and having nothing left worth living for finally got to him. Finding his way to the rooftop, he decided fall, but where he expected death, something else appeared; a blue message. A chill and simple LitRPG story that I just wanted to write. Note: I write with the Dark Theme setting, so if I make a colour mistake it’s probably why. I also strangely prefer using the Imperial System to measure Height, while I use the Metric System for almost everything else (Canadian by the way).

The Saga of Geir Røshjert
"His name will never be sung, son. Skalds and bards like me will never tell his stories to the mass. But only us and us alone will keep telling his story, his actions, his saga. For he is the man who started all of this." This is a story no man in Lumenter will ever hear, no man except for an Arnesen, for his stories are dull and generic to the ears of the masses, except for us, because he is the very reason why our people traveled this far east, why kingdoms in Erisgi fell and rose, why I... even existed in the first place. He is Geir, son of Arne, called 'the Stranger' by the people. But what he truly is, is a fiery red heart that beats inside every Eyklandian, Arnesen, and me.
