Harry Potter: Blood Of The Dragon Chapter 189

Yours,

Magnus finished writing the letter for Sirius. This one had a picture attached. They had exchanged letters one more time before this, and Sirius asked for a picture desperately.
So Magnus and Ragnar headed out to find the perfect candidate for their model. She needed to be pretty and similar to what Magnus had described. But they were ready to compromise and use magic to manipulate the photos. After looking for a whole day, they found their perfect girl, not anywhere close to what they wanted but they had to heavily use the makeup and edit the image.
"Can't believe this was supposed to be so hideous before. Haha... can't wait to reveal it all to Sirius. His face will be worth watching when he sees his 'lover'." Ragnar said while trying to hold back his laughter.
Magnus once again put the fake lipstick mark on it and sent Summer to Owl Post Office.
Once that was done, Magnus headed out. "I'm going to Oxford University. Bobby asked me to come and meet the possible people he has selected for the Order of Merlin. Wanna come?"
"No, I got some experiments, I'll be busy," Ragnar replied and lazily headed to his small lab.
Magnus called Abe and asked him to drop him somewhere near Oxford university. There was a park nearby, and he arrived in the trees there. From there, he hired a cab and went straight to the college Bobby was.
Magnus had only 1 week of free time, but today was the only day he would be spending his time on the muggle side. The coming week he will be spending with Moody and Professor Flitwick, trying to get better at martial magic. Now he could give them the genuine reason for training, that he was going to be the king and will always be in danger.
When Magnus arrived, Bobby was already waiting for him. He followed him to a small hall, probably used for some seminars.
Magnus looked at the small group of people Bobby had gathered. Nearly all of them were wearing glasses. ~I guess reading books is sometimes injurious to health.~
Bobby introduced him, "Everyone, this is Magnus Grant Emrys Pendragon, Duke of Cambridge."
Duke of Cambridge was one of the eight royal dukedoms in the United Kingdom. It was a hereditary title of a specific rank of nobility in the British royal family. The title (named after the city of Cambridge in England) was heritable by male descendants by primogeniture.

The title was first created in 1660. But the title became extinct several times before being revived when Queen gave it to Magnus recently.
Bobby continued, "Well, royal titles don't mean much to people like us. So let me tell you who he really is. We have been friends since small, and the only person I consider smarter than me is Magnus here.
"He is the other half owner of FutureTek company. And he also fully owns Dragon Holdings and I don't have to tell you what Dragon Holdings owns. He also has many ongoing projects. He's a great entrepreneur and investor. So, if you have any ideas, you can pitch it to him and he might invest."
Magnus waved his hand. All of the people there were in their late teens or early adulthood. But one thing he noticed was that they all looked at Bobby with an expression of reverence instead of scorn for being so young and bossing them around. Maybe to these young people, age didn't matter, what mattered was the brain.
Now, they looked at him the same way. "Hello, everyone. I came here today because Bobby told me you all are the best at what you study. I am a person who loves investing in the future. I have many goals, and I work to achieve them.
"And if you can help me in achieving those goals, then I don't mind bringing you into the fold. Let's start with introductions."
Then, everyone started to tell their names first. Bobby would then tell him what each of them does best.
"Yusuf is a student from Pakistan, he's a very good economist. After the announcement about the new battery and electric car, he had guessed the downfall of oil stocks, he made many of us some money." Bobby explained.
Magnus nodded at this, if this was the case, then this boy deserved some backing. Not many people currently have the vision to think about the future of Batteries and EVs,
"Mark is a mechanical engineer. He loves cars and..."
"CAN I WORK FOR YOUR FATHER?" Mark suddenly shouted.
Magnus was uncertain about this wish, he rubbed his chin and replied, "I don't know, he does not run a company. He probably won't be able to pay a salary either."
"I WILL WORK FOR FREE... PLEASE!" he pleaded.
"Okay, I will ask him." Magnus conceded.
He spent the whole morning meeting all of them and talking about various ideas. Some of them asked for his investment in their business for a percentage of ownership. Magnus was rather a person who looked to keep things under his control if he felt the idea would be good.

There was especially one idea, on which Magnus decided to spend a lot of money. It was proposed by a Business Administration student. She pitched him the idea that she wants to open a telephone shop for daily groceries.
The idea was simple, she would open a lot of warehouses across the whole of London. Then she would send pamphlets/catalogues in newspapers every week, telling all the items they have.
Next, the person can just call them and order the items. They would only sell groceries for now, because people usually went out to buy them a few times every week.
Magnus liked the idea. They could take a small delivery fee to cover the cost of logistics. Plus, every item will be slightly expensive, for example, something worth 1 pound would cost 1.03 pounds, but on special occasions, they will be slightly cheaper, calling it a discounted sale.
Then, he advised that the phone number be toll-free so the caller wouldn't feel bad even if the item they wanted was not available. Next, he advised keeping the delivery free above a certain amount.
She kept on writing the suggestions and agreed to all of them. But then her mind broke when Magnus told her how much he would invest.
"Hmm, this is going to be a big project. How about 5 million pounds as an initial investment? For 55 per cent of the company? I will invest more if this is successful, without taking any more percentage of the company." He offered.
Her name was Freya, a 22-year-old. She was just expecting to open one warehouse first and start the service in one locality. But this was too big. With 5 million, Magnus was most likely targeting half of London.
"Sir, this is too much... it's too risky... maybe we should start from the small." She said, not wanting Magnus to lose money.
Magnus denied, "No, we have found a market that is not served, we should capture it when we can. I love your idea, if you don't start the company on a big scale, I will do it. But then you will say I stole your idea, which would technically be correct. But we live in a world where everyone is on a running track. If you walk like a snail, you will never be successful in a track full of sprinters.
"You have the opportunity to be a part of this, you can become a millionaire in a year or two, what's there to worry about? Are you afraid of challenges?"
"NO, SIR!" She replied immediately. After hearing Magnus' snail analogy, she felt pumped. It was true, if she didn't act when there is an opportunity, she will only have a lifetime's regret.
"Good, what have you decided for the name?" Magnus asked her.
"I have not thought about it sir, maybe Grocery House?" She suggested.
Magnus fell silent and closed his eyes, "Ummm... no, it's too specific. It's is possible that in the future we will sell even other items. For now, we will be selling groceries, something that people buy every day or two. So let's start with Daily. We will sell all items from one place, we will be like a market. Hmm, I have a perfect name. DailyMart."
*CLAP CLAP*
Bobby started clapping, "That's a very impactful name, Magnus. The name itself feels like it sells something good and alludes me to buying something."
"Then we are already on a path to success. Freya, my assistant will contact you soon. She is currently busy chasing away journalists. For all those who don't have any ideas right now, you can contact me by Bobby. Remember, I invest in the future. We can together achieve anything. I got the money, contacts and influence. If someone wants to be a politician, they will have my support as long as they are not corrupt. If you want to be a lawyer, I can get you hired by the best law firm in the country. If you want to be an economist, well you can work for my company. I have endless opportunities.
"Now, I will be taking my leave. We will meet again soon." He waved his goodbye and headed to see his hospital's construction.
[A/N: Yes, he started something like Amazon.]

Black Wind, White Lotus
In this world, there are haves and have nots. The former are pureblooded humans, some of whom are capable of manipulating qi, the mysterious energy that flows through every living creature, to miraculous results that defy the laws of nature and physics. Wen Feili was one such cultivator. However, she allied with the have nots- the anthropomorphic hybrids incapable of channeling qi-and dabbled in forbidden demonic arts, seeking to change the very composition of reality. This did not end well for her, and she was consumed by her own flames. A decade later, far in the northwestern mountains, her daughter Wen Fengli is working as a lowly servant of the minor Shuangshan sect. In between sweeping the floor and avoiding bullies, she secretly trains with a wooden sword, hoping to become a warrior cultivator at some point in the future. However, since she's part-human, part-wolf, it's just a pipe dream. ....or so she bitterly thought. However, one day a mysterious amulet that belonged to her mother falls into her hands. A deranged old master, a terrible conspiracy, a mysterious past? None of that matters to tomboyish wolfgirl, who only seeks to become stronger. She embarks on a journey of adventure and self-discovery, towards the mysterious southern lands where pure demi-humans are said to live...as spectre of war once again envelops the world of man. This is a Chinese-themed fantasy story set in a fictional world. You can classify it as xianxia, if you wish, but it's a rather low fantasy variant; the heavenly realm is silent, no one reached immortality in generations, and magical artifacts of old are locked away and feared. Magical beasts and spirits have been driven to the corners of civilisation, and "ordinary" abilities such as flying or controlling swords through telekinesis are considered spectacular feats. The main plot of this book revolves around a kemonomimi girl who seeks power, no matter the cost. This story also features multiple character pov, and will not always follow the perspective of the mc- there are two major plotlines, one connected to conspiracy and war ongoing in the political background of the presented world, and the other focusing on the main character's physical and metaphorical journey.
