The Rise Of Nathalia Carter Chapter 142

Like a clap of thunder, it struck Anna. Her face went pale, her heart felt twisted, and she found it difficult to even breathe. She glared and pointed at Nathalia, "Spencer, it's her fault. She did this to us. She's the one separating us. Nathalia Carter, I hate you! I hate you! I will never forget you!"
Anna didn't think Spencer was doing anything wrong, but Nathalia was the only one to blame. She hated Nathalia.
Nathalia sighed and thought girls like her are spoiled and are self-centered. Whenever things aren't going the way they want, it's others' fault and never their own. They think the whole world goes around them.
The greed built up by money covered their soul, and they were blind to see.
"Even if you have the power and money to buy the whole world, you can never buy a heart. You can never buy real love with money. What's more, you aren't the center or as important as you think you are. Not everyone or everything goes your way."
Anna had learned that Nathalia wasn't someone easy to handle, but she hadn't expected it to be so hard either. Nathalia wasn't afraid of saying anything, expressing her feelings. Look at her arrogant face. It needs some slapping. Anna thought angrily.
"Shut up! Unless you leave and never come back, I won't let you off." She shouted. Just then, the door opened, and a handsome middle-aged man walked in.
"Dad, what brought you here?" Anna exclaimed.
That's her father? No wonder. She does come from a family of money. Nathalia took a good look at Tom Jones and thought.
Tom didn't look pleased with it all. He had heard talks about his daughter and had come here straight away after he got the message. Without saying hello to anyone, he went straight to Anna and grabbed her shoulder, "Come with me. We are going home."
The whole world knew how much his daughter adored Spencer Davidson, and the Jones would be pleased if their daughter did marry into the Davidsons, but now that Spencer had stated clearly his thoughts in public, the Jones had to show respect.

Anna refused to leave and tried to free herself from her father, "No. Dad, I'm not leaving. Some evil woman is trying to take Spencer away from me. I want to protect him..."
"Stop this nonsense. Are you ashamed of yourself?" Tom Jones scolded sternly, then he turned to Spencer in an apologetic tone, "Spencer, please don't take it to heart. I will tell her off."
Spencer smiled politely and said, "I trust you, Mr. Jones. Thanks for taking the time off your busy schedule and coming over. I appreciate it." Spencer had always been polite to the Jones but kept his distance from them.
"Well, Spencer..." Tom let out a deep sigh. He thought highly of Spencer, and he had deliberately allowed his daughter to behave her own way, hoping that Spencer could one day be his son-in-law. However, Spencer had made it clear that it was impossible, and Tom Jones understood the rule of respecting and not crossing the line.
Anna suddenly understood and exclaimed, "Spencer, you asked dad to come to take me home!"
"Yes. You are not a kid anymore, Anna. You should grow up and learn to respect others. Go home now." Spencer said calmly. This time he had determined to separate Anna and his mother. He would not hesitate anymore. This was the only way out.
"You are so cruel. Spencer. I'm so disappointed in you." Anna felt helpless and hurt. She turned to Mrs. Davidson for help, "Please help me. I don't want to go home. I don't want to leave you."
Mrs. Davidson wanted to help, but Spencer interrupted. "Mum. Anna is Mr. Jones' daughter. She can't stay at our home forever. She has her own family. It's unfair to them."
Tom eventually dragged Anna away despite the fact that she was almost crying her heart out.
Mrs. Davidson didn't want Anna to go, yet she didn't understand how she could persuade them either. "But I will..." Without Anna, I will be alone. It's too lonely. She thought worriedly.

Spencer was prepared. He comforted her with a smile, "Mum, why don't you move in with me so I can take care of you. Would you like to live with me?"
Nathalia lifted her eyebrows, a bit surprised, and now understood where this was going. It's a smart plan. She thought. Very well planned.
Mrs. Davidson was pleased, thinking she hadn't spent much time with her son even if he was in town, she rarely got to see him. However, she took a look at Nathalia's uncertainty and said, "What about her? I don't like her. I don't want to live with her."
Not many people liked someone with a strong personality. I wouldn't like to have a daughter-in-law like her. She thought to herself.
Spencer replied quickly, "Nathalia has her own place. She's not living with us."
"Alright." Mrs. Davidson agreed.
Dinner didn't really go well. Since Anna left, Mrs. Davidson had been sulking. Though Spencer tried every way to cheer her up, it was rather depressing. Nathalia didn't want to get herself involved too much. She ate her meal quietly and ignored the awkwardness. Without Anna around to help her make decisions, Mrs. Davidson seemed less demanding. Though she still wouldn't accept Nathalia, she listened to Spencer and let him decide for her.
Spencer drove his mum and Nathalia home after dinner. When they got back, Spencer quickly got out of the car and opened the door for his mother. Before he could get to open the other door for Nathalia, Nathalia had got out of the car herself.
The mother and son chatted and laughed from the parking lot to the lift. Nathalia followed behind quietly. Spencer pressed the button on the 28th floor. Mrs. Davidson took a look at Nathalia, who was on her phone and frowned. "Spencer, why is she following us? You didn't lie to me, did you?" She asked suspiciously.
Nathalia pretended that she didn't hear while Spencer tried to ignore the headache and answered patiently, "Mum, don't you trust me?"
It made Mrs. Davidson panic a bit, and she nodded her head frantically, "Of course, I trust you, Spencer. Please don't be angry." Every time when she panicked, her face turned red, and she became confused like a little kid who knew she had done something wrong and didn't know how to react.
Seeing her face, Spencer couldn't show any anger at all, but instead, he comforted her with a smile.
The door of the lift opened, Nathalia went out, waved her hand, and said, "Good night." Whatever Spencer was thinking or planning, she didn't want to interfere.
Spencer hurried after her, thinking of stopping her, but hesitated and said, "Good night." He watched her leave.
Mrs. Davidson saw that Nathalia entered the flat next door and put on a confused face, "She lives next door? Tell her to move out." She said plainly.
Spencer opened the door and welcomed his mother in. "Mum, it's her right where she lives. We can't interfere."
"But..." Mrs. Davidson grew concerned. There were only two flats on the same floor, and they lived right next to each other. It's too close. She thought. "Then, let's move to somewhere else."
Spencer wasn't sure what his mother's concern was, and he couldn't understand what she was thinking about. "But I like it here. It's not big, but it's perfect for the two of us. Come, have a look at your room. Isn't it beautiful? Do you like it?"
They had never lived in a house as small as this. Mrs. Davidson was born with a silver spoon in her mouth. Big houses, luxury cars, housemaids. Anything she needed and wanted. The only thing she learned to do as a housewife was cooking, and she only did it to please her husband.
