The Rise Of Nathalia Carter Chapter 592

"Is there someone who plays the stupid prank?"
Ethel was confused. After a while, she said, "The new term begins. Who did that? Although some people know Catherine except our classmates, who did play the prank?"
Catherine shrugged and answered, "I don't know. Don't throw the question at me."
"It is weird."
Catherine smiled and then said, "All right. Forget it. If the person aims to do something, we can wait for the next move. Let's get back."
Catherine knew some people dislike her, such as Madison, Iris, and Pearl.
Three of them hate her very much. Even worse, Pearl regarded Catherine as her enemy when Pearl knew Sean loved her.
Besides, the fight between Catherine and Pearl in Clara's home also made Pearl embarrassed.
A sudden call got Catherine back. She glanced at the name of the incoming phone and picked it up.
It was a low and rough voice, "Hello?"
Catherine's heart beat fast, and she answered gently, "Hi."
Sean was standing in front of the window, looking at the shining star in the sky.
"Are you asleep?" asked Sean gently.
"It is late at night. Where are you?"
Catherine knew Sean was unhappy. She could even imagine Sean's frowning brow, his terrible expression.
"I just go out with my roommate to buy something. It is safe. Don't worry."
Sean and Catherine usually call each other in the evening. Although they didn't talk a lot, no one would feel embarrassed.
It was a caring phone call.
Sean kept silent and paid attention to what Catherine said.
Generally, Catherine always talked to Sean about what happened at the university.
Catherine didn't tell Sean that the instructor punished her. They just talked about some funny things.
"What do you need?"

"Nothing. You have made full preparation for me. Drew saved tens of thousands of dollars in the meal card. I can't spend all the money until my graduation."
"I am afraid that you can't get from the food in the canteen the necessary amount of a nutrient."
Sean didn't care how much money he spent. The only thing he cared about was the food.
"I don't think so. I think the food at Kings College canteen is good."
"Don't care about the money. You can buy whatever you want to eat."
Catherine felt happy and smiled, "I got it."
"Okay. It is time to go to bed."
"Good night," said Catherine. She hung up the phone.
Sean looked at the screen until it turned dark. And then, he put his phone on the desk.
Sean glanced at the calendar and focused on the number 7.
Military training was not over.
The drill instructor scolded Catherine again and again.
The Morning
The drill instructor called Catherine millions of times:
"Catherine Stewart, get out! Run two laps around the playground."
"Catherine Stewart, bad actions! Train more than half an hour how to goose-step."
"Catherine Stewart, don't move! Stand up!"
Catherine's classmates felt sympathy for her. All of them thought Catherine performed very well, and she had never fought against the instructor though she was hot and sweaty during the training.
On the contrary, a few girls did perform poorly, but the instructor just ignored it.
It seemed that the instructor wanted to scold and punish Catherine on purpose.
Whatever Catherine does, the instructor always found something wrong.
Instructor Hunter didn't like Catherine and tried everything to torture her.
Catherine didn't yield. She accepted everything peacefully, no fighting, and no scream, which made Hunter angrier.

"The little girl is so tough! To be honest, I am rather impressed, but I have no choice. It is the order. I have to do so," said instructor Hunter.
"Cathy, how are you? You look bad."
Catherine was exhausted, sitting in the shade of a tree. Her face was pale, and her lips were wan.
Cecil gave Catherine a box of milk and asked, "Is your blood sugar low?"
"I think my period is coming. My stomach is writhing."
In the early morning, when Catherine got up, she felt a faint pain in her stomach, and she guessed her period was coming in these days.
Catherine endured torture that Hunter gave her though she had experienced symptoms just before her period, like abdominal cramps and lower back pain.
"What can I do for you? Do you want to ask for the day off?"
Ethel frowned, "I don't think the instructor will agree. He dislikes Cathy and tortures her. You know what happened."
Catherine was tortured all morning. Hunter punished her in different ways due to various reasons.
Ethel and Cecil knew the instructor kept hassling Catherine on purpose, so it was impossible to ask for a day off.
"I am fine. It is okay."
"Look at you! Don't be stupid."
Ethel helped Catherine wipe the sweat from her forehead. She held Catherine's cold hand and asked, "Cathy, do you usually feel a lot of pains when your period comes?"
"Almost."
"I hear that some people feel so painful that they roll around on the bed."
Catherine wiped the sweat and then said, "It is eleven o'clock. The training will be over soon. I can hold on."
During the half-hour, instructor Hunter didn't torture Catherine.
After the training finished, Catherine got back to her dorm and laid on the bed as soon as possible.
Her period came.
Ethel brought the food to Catherine, but Catherine wanted to eat nothing. She just ate a little food and half a bowl of soup.
Before taking a nap after lunch, Sean called Catherine. She didn't tell Sean what happened today, but Sean found something wrong, according to her voice.
It was seventh. Sean realized her period came and took a sigh of relief.
After hanging up the phone, Sean finished his job and drove out of his house.
"Cathy, I can help you ask for the day off. You should stop training and take a rest in the dorm."
Catherine tried to sit up and washed her face.
"I am okay. I don't need to ask for the day off," said Catherine weakly.
"Don't do that. It is hot outside. It is bad for your health."
If Catherine chose to continue to train, it would be a terrible thing. The instructor must keep harassing her, and she had to endure the period pains.
"If I ask for the day off, Hunter must think I am a weak and cowardly person."
"You don't have to care about what he is thinking. The military training is almost over after a few days, and you won't meet each other anymore. Don't worry about it."

It claims that it needs his help and that it can give him a second life, one far away from all the pain he’s ever known. So, Charles answers as any reasonable person would. He says no. Someday, he’ll find where his family went. Someday, he’ll uphold his end of the bargain and hunt beings powerful beyond anything he’s ever known. Someday, he might even – hatch? “CHEEP!?” Things to Know: -Cheep!? Will release on a minimum weekly schedule. -After a backlog of chapters, posting will slow, but in the interim you can expect a chapter a day up until roughly 25 chapters. -This story at times will potentially carry some heavy moments, but the tone is intended to be lighter overall. -There are invisible game-like elements in this story, but nothing so concrete as a dedicated gamelit novel. -I personally have some issues with anxiety, so I may or may not interact with the community a lot. I'll try if anyone has questions, but I can't guarantee that it'll be consistent. -MC is a non-human lead, and will never actually become human. Romance will potentially happen between side-characters, but not with the MC. -MC IS NOT THE ONLY VIEW POINT. I have to put that out there because people sometimes hate alternate PoV's in a story. None of them will be filler, and they'll be there only to give a little bit more nuance and meaning to the world that the MC has stepped in, or is about to be imminently important. I'll try to keep them down, but this also helps to prevent me from burning out getting trapped in one view. -Most of all, I hope that this story is enjoyable to you, and that you have a great time reading it! -Written by Michael Adams, Cowritten/Edited by Summer Kent

Is It Too Late To Move My Lair?
A legendary dragon... It has been told in the stories for hundreds of years. Some say it keeps a mountain of treasure in its cave, some say it is a vicious beast, some say it protects the village nearby, some claim it can grant their wishes, and some just think it's nothing more than a fairytale. He is not. The dragon is very real, although he isn't bothered by what people think of him in the slightest. He also doesn't have a grand treasure, nor does he grant wishes, like a magical genie. He is not interested in eating humans either. And as for protecting them… well. This is the story of the time before the legends, how they came to life and a dragon in the quest of his snooze. In a nutshell, this is a simple, light-hearted story with a dragon in it. What I have in mind is a relatively short one compared to most of the works on this site, but we'll see where it goes. This is my first attempt at writing something like this, so please be patient and kind in pointing out mistakes. As for the posting schedule... let's say it will be sporadic. Hope you enjoy reading, as much as I do while writing it… THE STORY IS NOT DROPPED, JUST SLOW ON THE UPDATES. Cover art by Nane, aka me. (Cross-posted on Scribble Hub.)
