The Rise Of Nathalia Carter Chapter 613

This was an eventful day.
When Pearl followed the teacher to come into her classroom, Catherine knew something bad was about to happen.
Everyone was looking at Pearl. They couldn't take their eyes off her face because she was so beautiful.
Pearl wore a white dress and brought out her crystal skin. Her waist was so thin.
"What's she doing here?" asked Ethel.
The vote ended the night before. The next day Pearl showed up. This felt like an unfriendly visit.
Ethel could sense the change in the atmosphere.
"I don't know."
"Does she come to challenge Catherine again?"
Cecile frowned, "She doesn't have to." She thought Pearl had an open mind.
They didn't know Pearl well. But they knew she was not easy to get along with. They could tell it from the time that Pearl organized the performance for Catherine. Their conclusion was Pearl was a scheming girl.
This class was about the fashion concept. The instructor was a woman in her 30s. She said, "I think you all know who this is. She's Pearl Johnson, your senior."
"Hello, I'm Pearl."
Pearl smiled, and she was full of charm. Guys in Catherine's class couldn't stop looking at her.
Ethel said, "Jerks! Catherine was more beautiful than her." The other reason Ethel called them jerks was that they were drooling over for Catherine before. They could be so disloyal.
"This class is about displaying Pearl's designs. She'll show you the wonders of the blending of different colors. I hope you're all inspired."
The dress Pearl designed was on display, so everyone could see.
It was a formal dress in the color of moonlight white. It was dotted with red patterns in the sleeves and hem. The dress was in the V shape in the neck with the same color. As for the waist, there was a belt in the shape of a lotus.

Catherine thought it was okay, but not stunning.
"Let's hear from Pearl to talk about how she came up with the design."
Pearl explained her inspiration, ideas, and how she made the dress in simple words.
"She's quite talented. I'd buy the dress if I saw it in the store." Some said.
"She can make her own dress, and I can't do anything yet." Others added.
As Catherine bent over to listen to Pearl's explanation, she started thinking about Sean. She was puzzled why Sean didn't like such a charming woman like Pearl. They have known each other for a long time. Even Catherine was impressed with Pearl's beauty. She thought straight guys could barely resist her charm.
"I need someone for a small favor. How about the girl in the white shirt."
Catherine was focused on thinking, and Ethel pinched her, "Catherine, that's you."
"What?"
"Pearl Johnson."
Catherine looked up at Pearl.
"Catherine, right? Could you do us a favor?"
The instructor was on Pearl's side. There were two standing there to turn around the dress to show the class their back. But they asked Catherine to do it. They were making things for her deliberately.
Catherine stood up. "I'll be glad."
Catherine got up, and Pearl asked her to hold the clothing hanger. She turned the dress around. The back was hollow cut. It was tangled with silk ribbons of different colors, but not tightly. One could see the bare skin vaguely. It was tempting.
"Be daring when you design. Don't play it safe." The teacher said.
Pearl smiled, "I know some of you might think the dress isn't beautiful. But that's because you haven't seen it in a model. Catherine, you have the right body for the dress. Why don't you model it?"

Catherine frowned. She had the right body for the dress? How about the dress suited her?
Pearl wanted Catherine to model for her and listen to her. Catherine felt cheap.
So Catherine said, "But I think the dress is perfect for you, Pearl. Your skin is flawless, and the color suits you. Besides, you're the designer. Why don't you model for us, so we can see it clearly?"
Catherine didn't know about other classes. But Pearl chose to come here, which suggested she had ulterior motives.
Although Pearl was smiling, she was displeased. Her thought was similar to Catherine's. In her mind, modeling for the class was like on display as a piece of the commodity. She felt cheap too.
Catherine said, "Pearl, you have the curvy figure for the dress. Unlike me, I can barely pull this off. If I did wear it, it would spoil the dress. I think you're the only one who deserves to wear it. What do you think?"
Catherine's body was beautiful in a different way. She was thinner. And they had varying styles too.
Catherine said so many nice things about Pearl on purpose. So she gave Pearl due respect and spoke up on behalf of her class. They just want to see Pearl in the dress more than Catherine.
"Catherine made a good point." Some said.
The class did want to see Pearl.
Pearl said, "I'd like to. But I have limited time. I have to go to other classes. I can't walk around in this dress. It will draw too much attention."
"How come? Pearl, you have the perfect body for the dress. I'm afraid my class will be disappointed. What if you didn't wear it, they would think the dress wasn't what you said. You don't want that, do you?" asked Catherine.
Although Catherine didn't know why Pearl insisted she modeled, she knew she must harbor bad thoughts. Pearl wouldn't do it in public. But she was very scheming.
"Catherine, why do you insist on not modeling? I chose you because you had a good body. And you were just voted Miss Gorgeous. This dress is designed for you. We can all feel the beauty of the dress and the model. Good design is about making one feel good about themselves."
As Pearl continued, she looked upset, "Or do you hold a grudge against me because of the vote? Catherine, you've taken the Miss Gorgeous title. I don't have to make things hard for you."
Catherine was more annoyed that Pearl started to put on an act.
"Only when the dress fits, the model can look beautiful. Catherine, you know that, don't you?" said Catherine.
Although their tones were nice, there were so many implications. Everyone could feel the tension between them.
