The Rise Of Nathalia Carter Chapter 660

The next Monday, Catherine returned to campus and brought snacks for her friends. As she was passing a bag of chips to Ethel, she suddenly asked, "What's your SAT score?"
"1001."
Ethel said carefully, "Didn't Kings College recruit students scoring at least 1800? That's the bottom."
"I know. What's your point?" asked Catherine.
"I'm just wondering what you got on math, reading, and writing. It's okay if you don't want to tell me."
Catherine hesitated for seconds and said, "I'm sure you can find that out online easily. I'll tell you. I got 300 on math, 300 on reading, and 401 on writing."
Ethel took a peek at her computer. It was exactly the same.
"Your math isn't so good, either is your reading," Cecil said.
"Well, I'm the worst at math. I can't understand the numbers. I thought I didn't have to learn math in college. But we have calculus class."
"It's okay. Professor Sean is your boyfriend. He won't fail you. Flunking is impossible." Ethel said.
"And you might enjoy learning calculus since your boyfriend is the teacher," Cecil added.
Catherine nodded, "Yeah. I don't have to worry about failing math."
Anna asked, "Catherine, how did you get into Kings College?"
Catherine put a mint in her mouth and said, "Thanks to my brilliant boyfriend."
So Sean helped pull some strings so Catherine could get in.
Catherine found it odd they suddenly asked her questions about how she got into Kings College, "Is my report card on the forum?"
The other three didn't say anything as confirmation.
"I see," Catherine said.
"Catherine, you..."
"I'm fine. It's the truth. They didn't make it up. But my grades give them something to talk about, right?" Catherine said.

If Catherine got a good SAT score, they would have no gossip.
But Catherine wasn't academically brilliant. She worked hard to get those SAT scores, which weren't enough to secure her a place at a top university. She would have been reduced to second-tier colleges.
In the end, she came to Kings College. Some would notice there was something fishy about that.
"Hey, it doesn't matter. We're here now. SAT is something you use to get to be better selves. Some postgraduates and even doctors have difficulty finding jobs."Ethel said.
Cecil and Anna nodded at the same time, "That's right."
"Getting a good SAT score isn't as useful as getting a good husband. I don't think Catherine has to worry about anything from now on. Professor Sean looks like a man who can provide for his family." Ethel said.
Catherine rolled her eyes, "I'll be alright on my own. I can provide for myself, thank you, Ethel."
"Yes, of course, you will."
Catherine didn't log in to the forum to see the post. She knew it would be comments which abused her. It would affect her mood.
She was a part of Kings College now. What could they do about it?
The next day in class, Catherine undoubtedly became the center of attention one more time.
But they wouldn't say anything in front of her. So they did behind her backs.
However, since Catherine had Sean to support her, she wasn't afraid at all.
"Madison, you didn't tell us Catherine didn't have enough SAT scores for Kings College." One came to ask Madison during the break.
Madison said coldly without looking up, "But she's one of us now. So your question is meaningless."
Even if Catherine didn't have enough scores, so what? She got in and came to the same class as them with over 2000 in SAT tests.

They were jealous of Catherine. But there was nothing they could do. The school wouldn't ask her to leave. And no one was capable of doing that.
Since the school accepted Catherine, they didn't mind her scores.
It all came down to they didn't have as strong support as Sean as Catherine did. So they wouldn't dare to talk about it in front of Catherine. They would only do some venting behind her back.
Catherine realized a few girls from her class who were okay with her suddenly estranged her. She wasn't minded. If they could get along, they got along. If they couldn't, they couldn't.
True friendship could stand the test of time, such as hers with Sophia.
Whenever there was something posted online about Catherine, Sophia would come to Catherine's dormitory room to persuade her no to overthink. And she found all sorts of ways to amuse her.
Catherine had a date with Sophia at the library in the afternoon. To her surprise, they bumped into Ken Hosk.
"Ken, are you here for reference?" asked Catherine.
"Yeah."
"Did you see the drawing I gave you?" Catherine asked.
Ken said, "Yeah. It's excellent. But if we can't make it happen, it's more useless than a piece of paper."
To be honest, Catherine wasn't good at sewing. What she made was worse than what drew. It wasn't what Ken wanted.
Catherine rubbed her temple and said, "Ken, that's where I suck. But I'm working on it. I'm sure progress is in the future."
Catherine has decided to spend more time sewing.
Ken took the books off the table and was to leave.
Catherine said, "Ken, did you give any more thoughts about the thing I asked you?"
Catherine told Ken about the two companies she owned. If he was interested, she would make him a shareholder for free. But he had to join her business after graduation.
"Do you trust me?" Ken asked.
"I have the utmost confidence in you. Your talent can't be hidden. I trust you, and I want you in my company." Catherine said.
How could Catherine question his capability? She was dying to talk him into coming to her company.
"You didn't tell me you knew my aunt," Ken said.
"How do you know?" asked Catherine.
"Aunt told me," Ken said.
When he saw the post about Sean and Catherine, Ken's aunt was by his side. She talked about how Catherine was her student, and she gave Catherine classes before.
Ken's aunt said Catherine had a talent and sharp eyes for aesthetics. She was something worth cultivation. Given time, Catherine would make something great.
"I didn't know she was your aunt until recently. But that doesn't affect my offer. On the contrary, due to that, you should be reassured that I'm offering you a good deal." Catherine said.
Catherine had Sean's support. So Ken didn't have to worry about anything about a bad deal.
"Ken, Feathers would really welcome you. And I'm looking forward to the next spring collection." Catherine said.
Ken didn't say no, "I'll get back to you the day after tomorrow."
"Okay."
"Catherine, do you want to cooperate with Ken Hosk?" asked Sophia.
"He's a genius. I can't afford to lose him to my opponents." Catherine said.

Yet Another RimWorld (Dropped)
*Fanfiction based on the game RimWorld*A more realistic take of RimWorld, where we follow the pawns that must struggle to survive in yet another Rimworld. Their stories, guided by a particularly playful narrator, will tell the tales of survival, defeat, gains, losses, triumph, and ultimately ruin. Trials faced by people, in places of various circumstances, will be observed and presented to its audience. What will be presented here are insignificant snippets of history, merely few of the innumerable tales and prospects to be found across this wide galaxy; The things we discover from these pawns, so many yet so few. Ultimately, they are just more drama meant for enjoyment, albeit in a twisted way. A/N:This is a fanfiction, based on the game "RimWorld". Using my personal gameplays as a basis for this fanfiction, in addition to some embellishments here and there. Unlike the silly antics that caused grave consequences if you had ever played RimWorld, my rendition will (hopefully) stay more grounded to reality, whereby no one will go beserk and dig up corpses if they can't eat on a table for 3 days in a row. That's all I need to say, you get the point. I'm writing this for fun. So please expect me to be inconsistent. Lastly, I am incredibly grateful to Tynan Sylvester for the game he created, "RimWorld", which is loved by many across the world and it will always remain a special place in my heart. For without his game, my work would not exist.
