The Rise Of Nathalia Carter Chapter 787

With that, she folded her hands in a supplicant gesture.
"No," said Drake before Clarence could answer.
"Mr. Thorne is right, Miss Clark. Choosing an agent is not playing a game. We should be responsible for our actors. You're kidding with Angeline's future. I can't entirely agree," said Clarence seriously.
Angelo knew it couldn't work and sighed.
"If you don't agree, we can't sign the contract with you, Mr. Wilson," said Daisy.
Angelo was surprised by her words. She looked at Daisy in confusion, "What the hell are you doing, Daisy?"
Many people had been rejected by Glamor, but it was the first time Glamor was threatened, and it was because of her. So, Angelo was shocked.
"Let's go," said Daisy.
But Angelo didn't move. Daisy got worried and thought why Angelo didn't cooperate with her.
She had seen people bargaining. When the buyers pretended to leave, the sellers would stop them and sell them at a low price. So, she gritted and pulled Angelo to leave.
Angelo didn't know what Daisy was doing and gave her a confused look. When she saw Daisy nodding to her, she thought Daisy had a plan B, so she stood up after hesitating for a second.
Karol and Clarence were shocked by the scene. It was the first time they met in such a situation.
When they walked a distance, Daisy looked back but found that they didn't seem to ask them back. So, she stopped.
Angelo also stopped. She looked at Daisy, who looked puzzled. That didn't look good, she thought.
"What are you doing, Daisy?" Angelo gritted and asked in a low voice.
Daisy clutched her dress and whispered in Angelo's ear, "This is not the same as I imagined. Why don't they stop us?"

Hearing that, Angelo didn't know what to say. She finally learned what Daisy was up to. But she just poked Daisy's head with a complex expression. Seeing the puzzled looks of Clarence and Karol, she complained inside that Daisy was indeed a troublemaker.
Seeing the interactions between them, Drake's eyes darkened. If Angeline didn't sign a contract with Glamor, she might work in another company and would get in contact with many strangers, which he couldn't see.
The more he thought about it, the more upset he felt. Finally, he picked up the coffee and sipped.
"Stop," he said.
Daisy's eyes lit up with pleasure at this. She prodded Angelo's arm with a smug look on her face.
"I knew they wouldn't let us go."
With that, she walked back and sat down on the sofa. Angelo could only follow up and sat next to Daisy. Noticing the gaze from the opposite, she felt quite embarrassed.
"What do you say, Mr. Thorne? Would you consider the request we have made?" asked Daisy, picking up her coffee. There was confidence full of her face.
However, Drake put his coffee on the table and said, "That's impossible." Then he glanced over Angelo. His gaze made Angelo shiver.
Daisy felt being tricked. "Hump!" she snorted and was about to stand up when Angelo noticed her thoughts and held her back to her seat tightly.
"Ange…"
Before Daisy could utter the word, Angelo covered her mouth tightly. Daisy then realized that she was about to say "Angelo."
"Excuse us, Mr. Thorne and Mr. Wilson, we'll be back later," said Angelo.
Then she stood up and went to the bathroom. Daisy hurried to follow up.
"What are you doing here, Angelo?" asked Daisy puzzledly. She didn't believe Angelo need to pee or poop now.

"What's your plan, Daisy?" Angelo asked but already had an answer in her heart.
While Daisy looked guilty when she heard Angelo, she poked her fingers lightly.
"You just saw it. First, persuading him with my dad's favor. If he doesn't agree, we pretend to leave so that they would stop us. But I didn't expect them to do anything."
Daisy looked aggrieved. Angelo didn't feel angry but laughed. She poked Daisy's head and joked, "You did have a plan, girl."
Daisy knew Angelo was laughing at her, but she said, "Yeah. But the reason it doesn't work was because of Drake. It'll work if he agrees."
Finally, her eyes lit up.
"Yeah. I just need to make Drake agree with it!"
Angelo couldn't help rubbing her head when she heard this. "Oh, god, Daisy!" she sighed inside, "She can't even handle Clarence, and now she wants to make Drake agree, seriously?"
Thinking like that, she reached out to fondle Daisy's head. Daisy must be crazy, she thought.
But Daisy just took her hand down and grabbed it. "Believe me, Angelo. Call Drake to the door, I promise you I can get him," Daisy whispered to Angelo, pleading in her eyes.
But Angelo didn't think it would work. "No!" she denied and looked away.
However, Daisy kept pleading and promising. Finally, Angelo agreed. Daisy then smiled happily.
Angelo left the bathroom and walked to Drake. Looking at his serious face, she couldn't help backing down.
Just then, she saw Daisy making a "come on" sign to her at the door of the bathroom. Thinking of Daisy's words, she plucked up again.
"What's wrong?"
Drake asked when she was about to speak. Her eyes met Drake's, and she got panicked.
"Nothing, nothing," she muttered. Then she sat down on the sofa and picked up the coffee to cover her face. That was so embarrassing, she thought.
When Drake saw the actions of Angelo and Daisy, he seemed to understand something and raised his eyebrows.
Then he put down the coffee and walked to Daisy. Angelo was surprised but didn't say anything.
At this point, Daisy gave her a thumbs up. Angelo was more shocked, wondering if Drake was a mind reader.
"Miss Watts," said Clarence.
Angeline looked at him and took over the tissue from him. She then noticed that she had spilled the coffee.
Quickly, she put the coffee down and dried the table. Her face was full of embarrassment.
When Angelo finished doing that, Clarence asked, "What are they going to talk about?"
He was puzzled when he saw Drake walking to Daisy.
"I don't know," replied Angelo.

Meet Kichiro, the son of a samurai. A social outcast, he leaves his home with nothing but a musket and a sword, determined to carve himself a niche in a chaotic world of dragons and leviathans. This fiction incorporates LitRPG elements, but it's not set in a VR. It's set in a fantastical world based loosely on East Asia in the 16th and 17th Century, when the Ming Dynasty was on its last legs, with the addition of magic and monsters. I totally stole the stat tables from Exterminatus, the author of Everybody Loves Large Chests, so let me credit him for that. I'm new to writing so please don't hesitate to criticise, and reviews would be greatly appreciated.
