Hearing that, Ivy took a step back but soon recovered herself. She raised her head with a look of disdain in her eyes.

"Yes, you are. But so what? You're now just an actress with no support," she sneered and then lowered her head to look at her freshly painted nails.

"You'd better withdraw from showbiz as soon as possible. If so, I may consider adding your name to the family genealogy, or you'll be a pathetic waif without family forever," she added.

Angelo felt funny in her words. She turned off the recording and stared at Ivy's eyes.

"Which family do you think is more powerful, the Thorne or the Watts?"

Ivy stayed at first but then sneered, "Stop dreaming these nonsense. Drake could never marry a girl like you. You are just a toy to him. By the way, Christina is about to come back."

She knew Angeline wanted to get Drake when she compared the Watts with the Thorne, but she wasn't worried about it at all.

Drake was a person of dignity, so he couldn't marry an actress like Angeline. Besides, Christina was about to come back. She was Darren's sister and had grown up with Drake, they were quite close.

Many people knew that Christina loved Drake. Although he didn't show any affection to her, people thought he loved her.

Angelo had heard about that and was kind of in a daze. Drake's words echoed in her mind. Somehow, she felt uneasy.

Angelo then understood everything. No wonder the whole crew had to wait for the supporting heroine. It turned out that she was Christina.

Angelo loved Drake, but she had never planned as Ivy said, so she rose to look at Ivy.

"Don't worry. I'll get my things anyway," said Angelo in confidence but sounded bizarre to Ivy.

Ivy had achieved her purpose here, so she doesn't need to stay here anymore. She pushed Angelo away and said, "Well, let's see. I hope you don't disappear from showbiz so soon."

When Angelo got home, Daisy had been waiting for her. She changed her shoes and then sat down next to Daisy.

Angelo looked at Daisy and nodded slightly. Just then, her phone rang.

"Is it from Drake? He was just apart from you and couldn't help missing you," teased Daisy.

Angelo's face burned. She took out her phone with expectation but then was disappointed when she saw the name of the caller.

"It's Clarence," she explained to Daisy and then answered the call.

"You did great on the show!"

She heard Clarence's warm voice and felt happy about his compliment. As the boss of Glamor, Clarence rarely complimented people.

"Thank you," replied Angelo.

Clarence hesitated before continuing, "I know you have a busy time, but the award is nearer, and the supporting actress has come back, so we planned to continue the shooting tomorrow. What do you say?"

"All right."

Angelo knew he planned to release the movie before the award. It would eventually benefit her, so she wouldn't refuse.

Clarence was happy to hear the answer from Angelo. He appreciated her hard-work. But when he thought of Christina's request, he felt difficult. He hesitated and finally said, "Ivy will be there watching you act."

After the previous incident, he knew Angelo didn't get along with Ivy, but he couldn't do anything about it. Either the request of Christina or the pressure from the Watts was not easy to refuse.

Hearing Clarence, Angelo stayed. She knew he didn't like outsiders entering the shooting site. So she was kind of surprised. But then she thought of Ivy's words and seemed to understand why Clarence agreed.

"I see," answered Angelo.

She knew directors didn't usually explain such a thing to actors, so Clarence had shown enough respect to her.

"All right. Take a good rest and go to work on time tomorrow."
