The Rise Of Nathalia Carter Chapter 816

Angelo was so flattered that she thought Drake was indeed strange. When she got out of the car, Drake approached her and said in her ear, "What are you thinking about?"
Angelo shivered, feeling that he had seen through her mind.
"No, nothing…" Angelo turned to refute when she found Drake was so close to her that he was almost touching her.
"You looked absent-minded. What were you thinking about?"
Being seen through by Drake, Angelo took a step back. There was a car, so she was against the car.
There were no people around, Angelo felt her face was burning, maybe because Drake was too close to her.
"I was thinking about… the future."
An idea suddenly occurred to Angelo. She looked up with a smile, "I've got the file. So, I have to think about what I should do later. I should find my origin, should I?"
Drake stared at Angelo's eyes for a while, then he took a step back.
"Call me if you need any help."
Angelo paused and felt shier.
"All right."
She lowered her head, and her mind was in a mess.
Drake had been helping her today. He was so different from before.
Does the engagement make him change his attitude towards her?
Angelo wasn't sure about it. After all, Drake refused her when she confessed her love for him.
When she got back home, she heard some noise in the kitchen. She went there and found Daisy there.
Daisy looked back and smiled at her, "I was very smart today, was I?"
Angelo smiled. She should thank Daisy, or she wouldn't see Christina deflated.
"Yeah. You're the smartest girl!"
With that, she entered the kitchen. Daisy was cooking, just like the way she fooled Angelo before. When she sensed the gaze from Angelo, she turned to said confidently, "The cook taught me how to cook just now. Don't worry. I promise you it will be edible."

Smiling at Daisy, Angelo quickly said, "It seems that you learned a lot these past few days."
Daisy's face blushed and a sweet smile formed at the corner of her mouth, "Of course, my mentor is the one who's my future husband,"
Stunned, Angelo came forward to Daisy, and she pinched her cheeks, "Are you saying that Daren proposed to you?"
Shrugging her shoulder and pushing Angelo towards the dining table, "Sort of. Common, let's have breakfast, and we will be going out today,"
"Okay"
After breakfast, they went shopping, and Angelo was shocked that Daren was waiting for them outside her house. She never thought she'd be the third wheel with these lovebirds.
She quickly pulled Daisy on the corner, "Are you out of your mind? Why did you invite Daren?"
"Relax, he doesn't know your secret," Smiling, Daisy added.
Hearing Daisy's answer, Angelo wanted to faint. She couldn't find words to say.
Angelo glanced at Darren, seeing that there was nothing strange about his look.
"It's all right. As long as he doesn't talk, it doesn't matter if he knew it or not." Angelo whispered and tried to convince herself and Daisy.
Angelo trusted Darren. Besides, Darren was in love with Daisy. She didn't think he would reveal her identity in front of others.
Daisy patted her chest but was still worried.
"Really? What if…"
"Then it's on you," Angelo smiled.
When they got back to Green, Angelo made a complete plan, which she should thank the secretary's experience at Drake's company.
After she finished that, it was late. Angelo checked her phone before going to bed and found that there were several missed calls, which were from an unknown number.
When she went to visit the couple, she silenced her phone for fear of being disturbed. These calls were made during that time.

It was a number of Booms. So, it might be from someone she knew. With the thought, she called it back.
"Hello."
The call was answered, and the voice surprised Angelo. Angelo laughed. It was indeed someone she knew.
"What's the matter, Miss Adams?" asked Angelo calmly.
At the other end, Christina became irritable, "It's just you and me. So, let's be frank." There was hate in her tone.
Angelo sneered, "So, you mean we should stop behaving amiable when we meet next time? After all, you are the one who did everything and said everything."
Angelo sat on the bed, thought about it, and started the recording.
"Whatever you say! But I'm here to warn you, don't think you can marry Drake with the engagement. You wish!"
"Oh, really? I have an engagement with him, and I may not marry him. You don't even engage with him. Does that mean you definitely won't marry him?"
Angelo knew what Christina was thinking about, so she just poked her wound. For a while, she didn't hear a word from Christina. Finally, she said angrily, "Let's see, Drake will marry me."
Angelo took a breath, didn't want to talk more with her. They were not pupils, so quarrels like this seemed childish.
"All right. I wish you success."
Angelo hung up after saying that. Then she put Christina's number into the blacklist, threw the phone aside, and went to bed.

The next morning, Angelo was woken up by Daisy while she was sleeping sound.
"What's the matter?"
Angelo got up in a daze. She looked out. It was still dark, it probably wasn't five.
"Get up now. Drake came," whispered Daisy.
Angelo suddenly widened her eyes and sobered up.
"What's he doing here at this time?"
"How do I know? I woke you up. You deal with the rest. I'll wait for you at the shooting site."
After that, Daisy left. Angelo calmed herself down before getting up. She washed before getting out of her room. Sure enough, Drake was sitting in the living room.
Angelo walked to her, "What's the matter, Drake?" She couldn't understand why he came at this time.
"I come to pick you up." Drake looked at Angelo and said as if he should.
Angelo stayed for a second and laughed, "I don't think it's necessary. You come so early just to… pick me up?"

Who Fixes Books Anyway?
On the pretense of a raise, the relatively new employee Pernie is called in to talk with her superiors. NOTE: This is a short story written for a class I took recently. As a result of deadlines, it does not possess the quality (or length) that I would like and is rather thrunkated. Perhaps sometime far in the furture I'll fix it up. For now, I have much more important things to work on, such as my other fiction.
