The Rise Of Nathalia Carter Chapter 874

Angelo's face got much better and looked ruddy, so she didn't look sick at all.
"Well, it's late. I should go home. You can have a little chat. Excuse me." Zoey was so anxious that she didn't even take the lift but fled through the exit passageway.
Angelo wanted to get away like Zoey, but she couldn't move at all because Drake looked so scary right now, as if trying to swallow her.
"What's wrong, Miss Zoey? Do you have…" McCoy came out while talking, but he stopped when he saw Drake.
Drake moved his eyes from Angelo to McCoy.
"What are you doing here?" he didn't sound happy at all. Angelo instinctively walked away a bit.
Yeah, just like! Drake could go to McCoy. Please don't ask her anything! Angelo wished in her heart.
"I heard Angelo is sick. I come to visit her," answered McCoy calmly. He seemed to be not afraid of Drake. It was a tight match in momentum!
"You got the news fast!" snorted Drake. It was for two hours from they found Angelo till they got here. But it would take at least two hours from the Watts house to the hospital. McCoy must have an eye in the Thorne house, or he couldn't come here in such a short time.
"I'm concerned about Angelo. And she doesn't live well at the Thorne house."
McCoy's words startled Angelo. She even had sweat on her back.
Drake wouldn't do anything to McCoy, who was just an outsider. But she would be in trouble.
Sure enough, Drake stared at Angelo with a detailed look in his eyes, making Angelo feel creepy.
Angelo could only try to look weak, but it didn't seem to work because Drake had already known that she was faking.

He looked so cold now. Next, he questioned her, "Don't you live well at the Thorne house?"
Angelo stayed and then glanced at McCoy to blame him.
That Angelo might live terribly at the Thorne house, but the Thorne family had been treating her well since she came back to life. Drake, in particular, cared about her so much. So how could she think they mistreat her?
"No, brother, I…"
But before she could finish her words, McCoy interrupted her, "The answer is quite clear, isn't it? The incident won't have happened if Angelo lives well in your family. I promise Angelo can do anything if he lives at the Watts house." His words were full of sarcasm.
Angelo looked at him and signaled him to stop talking. They wouldn't do anyone good if he annoyed Drake.
She didn't think Drake was a man to eat humble pie.
"The Watts is just a pathetic, broken clan now. It's not a match for my family. You can say these words to me when you don't need to rely on others," Drake satirized McCoy.
McCoy froze for a second. Although he soon recovered, Angelo noticed it.
Drake got his tender spot.
Before Angelo could understand what Drake was talking about, Drake grabbed her wrist.
She didn't recover until Drake pulled her into the lift. The lift went down slowly, and the atmosphere between them seemed weird.
To assuage Drake's anger, Angelo began to explain, "I've been living well at home. McCoy was talking nonsense just now. Don't believe him."
But Drake didn't say anything, looking quite indifferent and unreachable.
"I didn't want to fake fainting. It's just that…"
"You faked?" asked Drake in return. Angelo stayed there and looked at him in surprise.
Didn't Drake know she faked fainting?

Then Drake sneered as if thinking of something, "No wonder!"
"I'm sorry, brother!" Angelo could only apologize.
Drake suddenly said, "You faked fainting. Zoey pretended to find you. McCoy paid the doctor. Then you will sneak out of the hospital with him. Is that your plan?"
Angelo widened her eyes in surprise. Drake got it right.
"I don't care about your sexual orientation, Angelo. But don't forget, you and McCoy are relatives. You can be with anyone except for him!" said Drake seriously.
Angelo wanted to explain but then stopped because she thought it might be unnecessary. She knew the previous owner of her body was a relative of McCoy, so that they couldn't get married. Besides that, she and McCoy were just friends rather than lovers in her previous life. There wouldn't be gossips about them had it not been for that McCoy bought the headlines.
It was not easy to explain, so Angelo remained silent. Anyway, time would clear their relationship.
But Drake didn't know what she was thinking and took her silence as a sign of acquiescence as if she loved McCoy.
Drake suddenly felt irritable. The thought that Angelo might be with someone else, male or female, was too much for him.
When they got back home, Drake went to the study room. Angelo stood in the Living room for a while and felt at a loss. Just as she was about to go back to her room, she saw Zoey poking around on the stairs.
"Did Drake punish you?"
Zoey didn't expect Drake to come back and happen to know Angelo fake fainting. She was kind of being guilty of fleeing there.
Angelo shook her head, "No."
Just when she finished her words, Hale came to them and said helplessly, "Sir, Mr. Drake asks you to stay at home from now on."
Angelo froze. Zoey was about to say something but hesitated. Wasn't that a punishment for Angelo?
Finally, she didn't say anything to avoid bothering Angelo.
The day came, Angelo sat in the room in a daze, thinking about her future.
When the maid sent her meal, she got a message from Clarence, asking about when she could come to work. Angelo suddenly lost her appetite for food. She would rather die than live like this.
When Drake came back in the afternoon, he happened to see a maid taking food out of Angelo's room.
Hale came to him and said, "Angelo didn't eat anything for the whole day."
"She will eat when she's hungry," said Drake, sounding quite cold.

Exuperius [DISCONTINUED]
Terravest. The northernmost continent of the world known by many names of legend, but is most commonly reffered to as Athora, has, for eons, served as the land of exiles. Human criminals, dark elves, grayskinned orcs and dwarves that preffer mining with machinery over the traditional pickaxe alike, have come to call this half-frozen hellhole their home. It is a land of great strife, calamity and crisis, where one legendary tale ends only to begin the next, heroes fall down and villains find themselves thrown into lava. Around seventy years ago, a legendary figure appeared out of seemingly nowhere and conquered three human nations, forming a kingdom worthy enough of being called a small empire. However, at the eve of his heirs ascension, the legend breathed his last, leaving this same bloated, chaotic realm without the pillar that kept it together. Already, the carrion nobility, still spiteful for being denied their "rightful" place below the sun, rise up and gather at the court, each eager to consolidate their own power in these troubled times. Tempers flare, power is exercised without restraint and no one expects the hedonistic prince to succeed at keeping the realm together. Alas, as is often the case with such tales, not everything seems to be as it might at first appear and the vain lords of the realm may yet come to regret their carrion will. --- The Content Warnings are there for a good reason. ---
