Is That A Wisp? Chapter 264

There was no lack of wisps in human form that arrived at this place. They had got used to using their human form because of the worlds they were born, so it was common for then to come to register while being in that state.
Still, without showing their true form, the building employees would not be able to tell if they are really wisps or not. If they wanted to, they would need to draw and maintain a formation specific for it or have a cultivator or demon beast with a much higher cultivation realm to see through them. Either option would be costly, so it was much easier and faster to simply have them change back into their wisp form.
But when Krune finished transforming, all the employees and the other wisps around were taken aback.
Of course, the reason was none other than his colorful form.
The female wisp attending them couldn't help but comment.
"This is the first time I've ever seen a rainbow wisp."
There was another person surprised at the moment, Dilo! He knew that Krune was a wisp, but it was the first time he saw his realm appearance as well.
'Does it have something to do with his out of the charts talent?'
Krune wasn't feeling comfortable with all the attention and urged the attendant.
"Is this enough?"
The girl came back to herself and then said.
"It is enough. Still, how did your ethereal body become like this?"
Krune then transformed back to his human form. At the same time, his clothes were lifted with his spiritual energy so that he transformed already inside them. This is a little trick that Krune got used to using after living in the outside world for so long.
"This is just a side effect, don't worry too much about it."
The girl nodded and didn't say anything else. Colorful or not, she could at least tell that Krune is definitely a wisp through and through.
"Very well. Like I said before, only wisps that have a chance to achieve the Divine Soul Realm or have some amazing talent in another field can apply for a test. Can you tell me how old you are and what's your cultivation level? I can tell that you are in the Core Formation Realm, but I can't see which stage it is. Also, I will have you sign a blood contract to make sure you are telling the truth."
Krune nodded.
"Sure, no problem."
The attendant then handed over the blood contract, and Krune confirmed that the terms were related to his age and cultivation realm only. He quickly signed it, and once more, a seal was put on his soul. As long as he tells the truth about his age and level, that seal will lose its effect and disappear right after.

"At the moment, I'm at the 7th Stage of the Core Formation Realm. As for my age, I'm 12 years old, but I will turn 13 next month."
The seal in Krune's soul immediately lost its effect and disappeared right after. Krune noticed that and let out a sigh of relief.
"I hope this is okay."
But it was then that he noticed one thing. The surroundings, which was quite noisy a second ago, had become deathly silent.
The attendant in front of him had her mouth wide open. Any other wisp in human form and even the few other races looked at him the same way.
As for Ruik and the rest, they were trying to hold their laugh. They were 100% sure that something like this was going to happen. After all, where have you ever heard about a 12 years old wisp in the late stages of the Core Formation Realm? At the very least, Feifei and the others had never seen one. The reaction of everyone around them was totally within their expectation, much for their amusement.
Krune looked at the attendant and asked.
"Cough, cough. Could it be that it's not enough? I'm also very good at alchemy if that's the case."
The female wisp mouth then twitched this time.
'Not enough? Are you making fun of me? If a wisp like you isn't not enough, then no wisp in this universe will ever be!'
She wasn't the only one with that thought, all the other wisps thought the same thing as her. If Krune wasn't a high-level wisp, they might have ganged up on him already for making such a question.
"This is... enough. Wait here for a moment, I need to contact the registration office on the main planet."
Krune nodded and waited there.
Sometime later, the attendant came back with another man. He was the supervisor of the registration office, a 3rd Stage Core Formation Realm wisp.
"Hello, Krune. I'm the supervisor of this branch, Erbel. I already contacted the registration office on the main planet, and they agreed with your application for the wisp protection law."
He then handed over a sky blue token to Krune.
"You will only be able to teleport to the wisp world's main planet by showing this token. Without it, no one will let you go there, so make sure to not lose it. Once you arrive in the teleport formation, just show it to the wisp managing it, and he will send you to the wisp world straight away."
Krune nodded and took the token.
Erbel then noticed Krune's friends and could tell that two of them are humans.
"Are you with him?"

Feifei and the others confirmed.
Erbel then pondered a bit and then said.
"Then you can go as well. But be sure to not cause trouble there. Also, remember that the wisp world has almost no other race other than wisps. You probably noticed that there are still a few other races here in the wisp world 13, but it will be very hard for you to find anyone there. Also, since we have almost no humans there... Well, I guess you understand what I mean."
Feifei and Dilo looked at each other and didn't understand what Erbel was saying. But in the end, they simply thought that it was something to do with the fact that humans are different from demon beasts.
Erbel then explained a few more things to Krune and then bid farewell.
Krune looked at everyone and asked.
"So, do you want to go now?"
Ruik answered.
"Of course! That's why I came here anyway, so what's the point in waiting?"
Feifei, Tiane, and Dilo and agreed with Ruik.
"Very well, let's go."
They soon arrived at the teleport formation that connected to the wisp world and showed the token to the wisp managing it. That wisp checked its authenticity with some kind of spiritual equipment and confirmed that it was a real one.
"Please stay on the teleport formation, we are going to activate it straight away."
Krune and the others were happy that they didn't need to wait and did as they were told. Around a minute later, Krune's group disappeared with a flash of silver light.

Wisp World, registration office headquarters exit.
A man was making his way out of the headquarters. His name was Sineg, and his destination was the wisp world management office. This office was responsible for taking care of all the wisp worlds, while the registration office was only for dealing with new wisps and other races that arrived for the first time.
It was the most important organization in the wisp world, and also the place where the highest cultivation level wisps resided. Because they could live longer, they had more time to pay attention to the wisps affairs. Once a wisp in the Divine Soul Realm noticed that he or she wouldn't have the chance to enter the Soul Forging Realm anymore, they would usually come back here to help with the management of the wisp race.
Once Sineg arrived there, he immediately asked to contact an elder called Qartian, another wisp at the Divine Soul Realm.
Sineg was then brought to the elder's residence and soon found Qartian dealing with a few documents in his office table.
Sineg didn't intervene and waited for the elder to finish first. Although Divine Soul Realm wisps can be found in good amounts in the Wisp World, that is basically because they gather talented wisps from the entire universe. Because of that, any Divine Soul Realm wisp is highly regarded in this place. Qartian just so happens to be one of them.
Not only that, but he also has a lot of influence since he is one of the wisps responsible for the wisp protection law. For the Wisp World, Divine Soul Realm wisps are their lifeline, something that they can't go without. Qartian had successfully helped quite a few talented wisps to enter the Divine Soul Realm before, so he was considered quite an important one.
Qartian finally finished dealing with his documents and then looked at Sineg.
"Hey there, Sineg. Did you need anything from me?"
Sineg nodded.
"Yes, we received a report of the wisp world 13 that we found another wisp with a good chance of entering the Divine Soul Realm."
Qartian then showed a puzzled expression.
"Is there a need to come here to see me just because of that? Such talents are indeed welcome, but it's not like we don't get quite a few every year considering the size of our universe."
Sineg's expression became weird.
"It's a wisp with different colors."
As soon as Qartian heard that, he stood up from his chair!
"Are you certain?!"
Sineg then opened his communicator and connected to the room's monitor. He then played a video from the security system in the registration office in the wisp world 13. Qartian had his eyes glued on the recording and soon saw Krune's real form.
"A rainbow wisp! The Elemental Major Core!"
Qartian then looked at Sineg.
"Quick, tell me his cultivation realm and age. Wait, since his appearance changed to a rainbow-like one, that means that he is at least in the Core Formation Realm, right?"
Sineg nodded.
"7th Stage of the Core Formation Realm. As for his age..."
Qartian noticed the change in Sineg's expression and got nervous.
"Could it be that he is already about to die?"
Sineg immediately shook his head.
"No, that's not it."
Sineg took a deep breath and said.
"He is... He is... Only... 12 years old!"
Boom!
Qartian felt like he was struck by lightning!
"Hehe... Haha... Hahahahahaha!"
"Great! This is simply great! His timing couldn't be any better!"

Hazelsong: A LitRPG Novel
Release Schedule: I will be moving to a set release schedule as of 1/1/2022. A new chapter will be released every Saturday at Noon EST. If I have time that week for a second chapter, I will leave a note on the Saturday chapter and post the second chapter on Sunday at Noon EST. An up to date character sheet for the MC Erik will also be posted on Sundays at 12:15 PM. If life happens and I am for some reason unable to write that week, I will post a blank chapter giving you an update on where I am with my writing. Saturday Noon EST: First weekly chapter Sunday Noon EST: Second weekly chapter (if I have the time) Sunday 12:15 EST: Updated character sheet Synopsis: Years after surviving a deadly accident, Erik struggles to come to terms with his painful disability. When offered the chance to playtest the world's first full immersion VRMMO, he wants nothing more than to retreat back into his secluded life, until he learns what Hazelsong really offers. An escape from the pain. Hazelsong is a world of magic and adventure, a place where friendships are formed, loot is won, and glory and fame are there for the taking. While the threats feel real and the stakes are always high, there is only one thing Erik is really in danger of. Forgetting which world is actually real. Story Themes: Hazelsong is a LitRPG novel that not only explores the fictional world of a realistic online fantasy realm but the life of a man suffering in silence from chronic pain and PTSD due to a significant physical injury and disability. Mental health is an important subject and we all know at least one person in our lives who has or is dealing with some form of mental illness. I plan on putting my best effort forward to represent these illnesses in a fair and accurate manner. Not as a cheap plot device to help make the protagonist more unique, but to help paint an accurate picture for those of us who have been lucky enough to not have to suffer in silence. About the Author: I am Ash Durra, general video game nerd and a connoisseur of fantasy and sci-fi of all shapes and sizes. Needless to say, I am not a professional author (B.S. and M.S. in Education, 8 years teaching). After really getting into LitRPG novels over the past several years, I found my way to Royal Road, which has inspired me to use my spare time to begin writing a story of my own creation. As this is a hobby, I am not writing and posting chapters on any kind of specific schedule at the moment, though my goal is to post on average 1-2 chapters a week. I am incredibly excited to share this story with others as I write it, and I look forward to any constructive feedback about how I can improve in my writing.
