Chapter 493: Radix still lives?
“Delusion!”
Xia Fei pushed a ball of light into Furball’s body, and in a flash, a second Xia Fei appeared in front of Xana.
“Begin!” Xia Fei sternly said.
Xia Fei and Warstar charged out. Warstar made for the robot warriors while Xia Fei targeted the ultimate combat robot, Xana!
Bang bang bang!
Warstar brutishly used his body to push aside the robot warriors blocking his path and charged right in.
“Freeze!”
“Solidify!”
Tens of thousands of robot warriors were instantly frozen in place, stuck in whatever position they were in before this. Some of them were even falling over, while others had been knocked into the air by Warstar. All of them were bound in place by solidified air!
*Pa!*
One of the lights on his energy indicator rapidly went out. Activating directional electromagnetic waves to control the air took a significant amount of energy. Starting from now, a countdown of three minutes had begun; these 180 seconds would decide his fate. Once the time passed, Warstar would run out of energy and collapse. His fate was in Xia Fei’s hands now. If Xia Fei won, Warstar would win, and if Xia Fei died, Warstar would suffer the same fate.
Defeat was not an option!
Warstar used his most powerful ability to stop the sea of robot warriors. This was the limit of what he could do! All that was left was to see how Xia Fei dealt with Xana’s attacks!
Xia Fei shot close to Xana like a bolt of lightning!
In the end, he had chosen close combat. Of course, this was dangerous, for there was no doubt that Xana’s controllable laser was more suited for this style of combat!
“Sly Thrust!”
Gripping the Dragonscale Hectoslasher in his left and right hands, he crossed them together like a giant pair of scissors. The blades approached from the front and the side, seemingly wanting to cut Xana’s head off!
With a light shake of Xana’s head, the four pulse lasers on her shoulders fired off four arced rays! Two protected her body, while the other two attacked Xia Fei from the front and the back. This was similar to a boomerang, though Xana’s lasers were much faster and more accurate.

*Whoosh~*
Xia Fei shifted his body, his two blades slicing at Xana’s legs. Xana’s lasers arced as if they already knew that he would do this, shifting their defensive positions and stopping cold Xia Fei’s assault.
“It’s useless. I’ve already seen through you,” Xana said with a smile. She did not seem to think that there was anything difficult about this battle with Xia Fei, treating it more like a game that had its outcome already decided.
Xia Fei was unperturbed and continued to contend against Xana. He moved faster and faster, and from a distance, all that could be seen was a bunch of blurred afterimages. It was impossible to tell how the battle was going.
Xana’s face gradually turned serious, for she suddenly realized that Xia Fei had stopped thinking!
This was truly astonishing. How could someone possibly dodge attacks and attack themselves without thinking? Was this through pure instinct?
“Natural warrior blood?!” Xana murmured in shock.
Xia Fei was relying purely on instinct to attack!
Thinking?
True warriors did not need to think to slay their enemies!
This was an ability they were born with!
Only those possessing true warrior blood were capable of this, and then something even more shocking happened!
When Xia Fei gave up on thinking and relied purely on instinct to move, his attack speed and reaction time both increased!
Every strike was aimed at where Xana’s defense was the weakest. It was as if he did not need to look or think to find a point that he could exploit.
Not even Xia Fei had expected this result. When studying how to deal with Xana, Xia Fei had realized that he could only win by not thinking or analyzing, making it impossible for her to predict anything. Thus, intending to go all-out, Xia Fei gave up on thinking and focused all his energy on his reaction speed, to surprising results!
“More than thirty-eight thousand meters per second! Heavens! Is this your true strength?” Phantom gasped in shock.
“Forty thousand! Forty thousand meters per second!”
Alas, Xia Fei was in the middle of an unprecedented experience and was deaf to Phantom’s comments.
He was continuing to accelerate, his attacks simple and effective. Stab, turn, and stab again!

Such attacks would have certainly been spurned by many experts, for there was no method or technique to it. However, no one could deny that Xia Fei’s simple attacks were very useful. The Dragonscale Hectoslasher was an Immortal rank weapon, and any stab from it could deal damage to Xana. After all, unlike Warstar, her body was not made of liquid metal but rather a tough but light alloy.
Xana gradually began to get worried. Her body already had several hundred visible wounds. Fortunately, the controllable lasers were protecting her critical components, and she had yet to be taken down.
No one had ever been able to avoid her ability to inspect brain waves before. Over the course of her long life, Xana had grown accustomed to having this predictive power during her battles. This was the first time she did not have it.
This was also Xia Fei’s first time giving up on thinking and allowing his instincts to fight his battle, but his abilities had actually increased because of this. Xana had not predicted this, and she was beginning to panic, gradually falling behind.
*Pa!*
Just when Warstar was on his last energy light, Xia Fei’s Dragonscale Hectoslasher broke through Xana’s alloy shell and stabbed right into her energy system!
*Rumble!*
A massive explosion rang out. Xana had three times the energy capacity of Warstar, and when it exploded, there was no stopping it!
…
“You still killed her,” Warstar said with a frown.
Xia Fei shrugged. “Weapons don’t have eyes, and in this sort of battle, it’s life or death. No one else would have been able to guarantee anything.”
Given Xia Fei’s personality, he naturally wanted to kill Xana. He could not permit her to continue living, but this time, he truly did not mean it. It was purely done by instinct.
In the distance, the robot warriors stood motionless. Xana had authority second only to the Sentinel Goddess. Now that she was dead, authority had naturally passed onto the third in line, Dimsky.
“Regardless, the storm has passed. Let’s go and see the Goddess. I hope that she’s able to emerge from her conflicted state.” Dimsky sighed.
…
Upon returning to the Metal City, Xia Fei, Dimsky, and Warstar were cheered on by the Dove robots, who lined up the streets. They were finally able to walk the surface, do maintenance on themselves, and resume the life of ordinary robots.
Dimsky and Warstar said nothing. After all, Xana was one of their few remaining companions. Now, the last four members of the mech race had been reduced to three. It was only natural that they felt sad.
The Sentinel Goddess had grown even more quiet. No matter what Warstar and Dimsky said, she said nothing.
Xia Fei took out the box containing the Titan blueprints from his spatial ring and opened them for these mechs to look at.
“These are the Titan blueprints the Yulani gave to humanity. How are they in your hands?” the Sentinel Goddess questioned.
“It’s not important how I got them. What’s important is that this is a chance.”
“A chance?”
“Right, a chance to break free from the control of the Law Adepts. If the Goddess is willing to become allies with humanity, then we can join hands in constructing these superwarships. The Hidden Realm is a secluded part of space, making it the perfect place to build Titans. I saw the metal planets you were able to construct, and the workmanship is very advanced. It’s completely possible for this workmanship to be applied to Titans,” Xia Fei said.
“The Law Adepts will not permit us to construct Titans,” Dimsky worriedly said.
Xia Fei put away the blueprints and indifferently said, “I don’t like living under someone’s control, and I’m sure that no sapient lifeform in the universe likes it either. I’ll be frank with you; in two years’ time, I will head off to the Law Realm, so you still have that time to consider it. Whether you agree to join hands with me or not, I will attempt to build one.”
The Sentinel Goddess suddenly grew excited. “You’re going to the Law Realm? To where my father is?”
“Radix is still alive?” Xia Fei asked in shock.
