Eros had seen that simple but sweet interaction between Selene and Renz. He was just watching them from the back.

Selene didn't notice Eros's presence yet because Selene was focused on her grandma. She was also busy talking with Renz.

He had complicated feelings after hearing about Renz's and Selene's marriage. Seeing how Renz was treating Selene lately, Eros felt like he was about to fulfill his mission soon.

Eros just remained silent at the back, just observing Renz and Selene. She looked a little better now compared to before.

After a while, Eros decided to leave them. He could no longer bear to watch Renz and Selene together.

When Aunt Ling arrived, Renz said goodbye to them. He reassured Selene that he would be back tomorrow.

Aunt Ling also brought dinner for Selene. She hadn't eaten anything yet ever since she arrived in the hospital. She took some bites and tried to finish her food although she didn't have an appetite.

"Lady Selene, the friend who accompanied you a while ago, what is his name? The handsome guy? It was my first time seeing him today," Aunt Ling started a conversation, mentioning Gabriel, Eros's other persona.

Selene's eyes widened when she remembered Gabriel. She stopped eating her food and hastily turned around her surroundings.

She had forgotten about him. She felt guilty for that. Gabriel helped her a lot today but she failed to thank him properly. She even neglected his presence.

"Oh my gosh, My mind was so occupied a while ago that I forgot about him. Thank you Aunt Ling for reminding me of him. By the way, did you see him? His name is Gabriel."

Aunt Ling nodded her head as a response. "I saw him. He left when young Master Renz and I arrived. Don't worry, he would understand. He was very considerate of you. I think he didn't want to disturb you, that's why he left without saying goodbye to you."

Selene sighed helplessly. She didn't mean to forget about him. Her mind was just so occupied by her grandma's condition. However, she was still sorry for him.

"I will apologize to him tomorrow. I also want to thank him for the support he showed me a while ago. I feel so grateful to him. He was the one who helped and comforted me first when I was panicking and didn't know what I should do."

Aunt Ling smiled at her and said, "You have new friends now, Lady Selene. I'm so happy to see you with your good friends. I am sure he will not mind it because he understands your situation very well."

Selene's smile warmed her eyes as she recalled Gabriel who was also Eros. "Yes, I know. He might be shameless most of the time but he is a nice guy."

After finishing her food, Selene told Aunt Ling to sleep first. She would be the one to watch her grandmother while she was sleeping.

She would just wake her up if ever Selene would feel tired and sleepy. Aunt Ling followed Selene's suggestion right away.

She sat down beside her grandma's sickbed, holding her hand. Selene didn't have any plans to sleep tonight. She just wanted to watch her grandmother's sleeping figure.

Selene felt like something was missing. It did not take long when Eros's cute adorable face popped up in her mind.

'Oh my gosh! That's right. Where's my cupid?! I have to tell him what happened, especially my marriage with Renz.'

Selene stood up from her seat. She peered at her surroundings, looking for Eros. She didn't know where he was right now. She hadn't seen him since this morning.

A lot of things happened today... encountering the strange guy who was following Samantha, Gabriel getting hurt, Grandma Elysa collapsing and being rushed to the hospital, and Grandma requesting about Selene's marriage with Renz.

She wanted to share all those things with Eros, her cupid, and her guardian angel.

"Where are you, Eros? My angel? I need you now," Selene murmured to herself.

As if Eros had heard her words, he popped up from nowhere, appearing in front of Selene.

"Eros! You are here!" Selene immediately pounced on him, squeezing him in her arms.

Eros just rubbed her back, not complaining about how Selene was holding him tightly at this moment.

"Did you miss me?" Eros asked Selene.

Selene bobbed her head frantically as a response. Her eyes became teary again. She wanted to pour her heart out tonight, with Eros.

"Where have you been? Today… a lot of things happened to me. My mind and my body as well as my heart… they are all tired and exhausted. Please give me strength," Selene complained to Eros, putting on a pitiful face.

She finally let go of him to meet his gaze. Eros was floating in the air, that's why their eyes were now on the same level.

Eros stared at Selene for several seconds, not saying anything. Then after a while, he gently patted her head and moved closer to her.

"Alright, I will give you strength," Eros softly mumbled before planting a soft kiss on Selene's forehead.

Selene blinked her eyes several times. She was dazed. She didn't know why but the moment Eros's warm lips touched her forehead, she felt a familiar feeling she couldn't describe or define.

There was a warm feeling that was able to calm and comfort her heart. That was the effect of Eros's kiss on Selene.

"Do you feel better now?" Eros asked Selene.

Selene looked at him confusedly. "My angel? Did you just use a magical power on that kiss?"

Eros just let out a soft chuckle. He nodded his head to make her believe that statement. But the truth was Eros just felt like kissing Selene at that time. He had the strong urge to hug and kiss her just to comfort her.

"Selene, everything happens for a reason. Just be strong. Always remember that I am just here for you. So don't be sad anymore. You will definitely survive this hurdle."
