"WHAT??!!" Zaki's utterly stunned expression was visible on his face. He even stood up after hearing Midas's report.

Without saying another word, Zaki stormed out as he went to the location of the book of death. He needed to confirm it and find out what happened.

Midas, the grim reaper, also stood up in a hurry. He followed Zaki right away. He just hoped he wouldn't be punished because of this. This was not his fault.

There were two possibilities that could explain this phenomenon. First, there might be something wrong with the book of death.

Second, someone interfered with the grim reaper's task. But how were they able to do that? Only the grim reaper knew what time, where, and how the person would die.

What really happened to Samantha in Selene's past life?

In Selene's past life, Samantha accidentally met Mr. M and Micaela in the De La Sierra Hotel during Arthur's Birthday Party.

It was the same circumstances except that Samantha was not looking for Selene at that time. She went out to take a breather and it happened that she saw Mr. M and Micaela making out at the fire exit.

Mr. M also investigated her. Upon knowing that she was a close friend of Renz Chou, Mr. M tried to get closer to her.

He pursued her until Samantha gave in and finally fell for him. Mr. M planned to use Samantha as a source of information when it came to Renz Chou while Micaela continued monitoring Selene.

The day Samantha died in the Orion Empire Hotel was not planned at all. Mr. M brought her to the hotel for a surprise and to spend time with Samantha.

They had sex several times that day. Everything was doing well between them, not until Samantha discovered something she was not supposed to know.

Mr. M was inside the bathroom taking a shower when he received a phone call from Scorpion. Samantha who was tired and sleeping on the bed woke up the moment she heard the ringing of Mr. M's phone.

In her sleepy state, she picked up the phone and pressed the answer button. Without saying a word or checking the caller ID, Samantha brought the phone to her ear, waiting for the caller to speak up.

Scorpion who was already used to hearing the silence every time Mr. M would answer his calls, spoke up immediately reporting to him the whereabouts of Renz and Selene.

Samantha sobered up right away and her sleepiness disappeared the moment she absorbed everything Scorpion had said from the other line.

At that certain moment, she learned that Mr. M was monitoring her friend Renz and his fiancee, Selene. She realized that Mr. M had an ulterior motive of getting close to her.

He asked Scorpion to handle things and clean his own mess. He was the reason why Samantha found out about Mr. M's secret.

He left Samantha in their hotel room. A few minutes later, Scorpion entered the room, killing Samantha.

Mr. M changed his mind. He ordered Scorpion to scare and threatened Samantha so that she would not talk. But it was too late. He got furious when he learned that Scorpion already killed Samantha.

Little did he know, Scorpion didn't only kill Samantha. He raped her first and took advantage of her before he strangled her to death.
