Because of Eros's and Selene's interference, Samantha was able to avoid an unjust death.

She was now safe and her fate would change starting today. Not only her fate but everyone's fate.

They just altered the sequence of events in this lifetime so they should expect that many changes and unexpected things would happen.

Zaki would not let this slide as well. He would investigate and look further into this, figuring out what was the main cause of this turn of events.

Lately, more absurd things have been happening in the Netherworld. Names in the book of death were erased. There were some that suddenly went missing.

Azrael and his fellow grim reapers were still searching for the soul who escaped from the Netherworld and the missing soul who was killed by that soul.

The Netherworld was in a chaotic state right now because Zaki was angered by this incident. The grim reapers didn't know how they would be able to appease their furious supreme leader.

In the end, they just avoided being seen by him, or else they might experience his wrath. Zaki was in a foul mood right now.

Midas was the one who suffered the consequence. Though he didn't receive any physical punishment, he received a severe scolding from Zaki.

This piece of news was heard by Azrael who was currently in the human world.

"Hahaha! I'm glad I am on the mission right now. The Supreme Leader is fuming with rage once again. What is happening to the book of death? I hope this change is not related to what I have done, letting Selene live once again." He mumbled to himself.

Azrael was standing on higher ground, watching over the crowded city. He was alone for now since his fellow grim reapers continued their search. He was just taking a short rest.

"But what if this is happening because of Selene's case? I will be done for once Zaki learns about this!" Azrael suddenly became anxious.

"Damn, I have to see Eros. I want to talk with him about this. Will Sienna back me up once Zaki learns everything? The cupids are also involved in altering Selene's fate. I hope I can rely on them when everything is revealed to Zaki."

With that thought in mind, Azrael left his current spot and went to find Eros. Deep inside, Azrael just wanted to gossip with his cupid friend, Eros.

He was bored lately, just finding the missing soul and the escaped soul that turned into an evil soul. They still had no progress as of now.

He got a feeling that Zaki would nag at them, telling them how incapable they were in doing their job.

'Sigh! Just the thought of Zaki and his blazing red eyes looking at me, I can't help but cringe. Sigh! Cupids are so lucky to have their mother angel, Sienna.'

Meanwhile, the cupid whom Azrael wanted to see right now was enjoying his time with Selene. The two of them were rejoicing since they succeeded in their mission of saving Samantha.

Samantha and Grandma Elysa were still talking downstairs when Azrael arrived at the Anderson Family Mansion.

His sudden arrival alerted Eros who was following Selene. They were about to join Samantha and Grandma Elysa in the living room.

Seeing the black shadow at the entrance door, Eros suddenly felt alarmed. He thought he was mistaken after thinking that Samantha was already safe.

Eros glanced at Selene worriedly. They were just celebrating moments ago in her room. What would she feel if Eros told her that Samantha was not yet safe?

Eros was still in deep thought when another possibility popped up in his mind.

'Wait, this aura is different from the grim reaper I saw in the Orion Empire Hotel. Don't tell me that this grim reaper is assigned to Selene's grandmother. An initial visit?'

Eros's heart was filled with anxiety because of that thought. Selene would be more devastated once she learned about this.

But little did he know, the grim reaper who had just arrived was Azrael. He came there to see Eros, not Samantha nor Grandma Elysa.

Azrael just unintentionally made Eros worry for nothing.

Eros was still thinking about how he would relay this information to Selene when suddenly the grim reaper entered the house, catching Eros's attention.

'What?! It's Azrael! Don't tell me he is the one assigned to collect Grandma Elysa's soul and he hid this truth from me?!' Eros was enraged by that thought.

He thought Azrael lied to him and stabbed him in the back. He misunderstood everything.

Eros clenched his fists. Without further ado, he dashed in Azrael's direction, welcoming him with several punches.

Azrael, who was about to call Eros, was surprised when he saw him rushing towards his spot. Before he could react, Eros's fist already hit his jaw and abdomen.

"Arghh!" Azrael grunted. His eyes were glaring at Eros with disbelief.

"What the hell is wrong with you, punching me out of nowhere!!!" Azrael shouted at Eros.

Azrael's voice also caught the attention of Selene. She had just turned at the door when Eros suddenly grabbed Azrael and brought him outside the house.

Selene just caught a glimpse of Eros grabbing someone in a black robe. She didn't see Azrael clearly. Eros moved fast.

'Eh? Who had just shouted a while ago? It's not Eros. Where is he going?' Selene asked herself.

She was about to check on Eros and followed him when Grandma Elysa and Samantha called her, asking her to join them.

Selene had no choice but to forget about Eros. He would come back so she decided to ask him later. For now, she stayed with Grandma Elysa and Samantha.

Meanwhile, the two men who just went outside started arguing with each other.

"Why did you punch me? Is that a new way of greeting a friend?" Azrael scowled at Eros while rubbing his jaw. He received a hard punch at Eros.

"A friend? No! You are not my friend. You are a traitor!" Eros spat back at him.

Azrael furrowed his brows into knots. He was confused by Eros's statement.

"Eh, a traitor? What do you mean? Don't accuse me of something I am not or I haven't done?! What is your problem?!" Azrael looked at him with disbelief.

"You lied to me! You said you didn't know who is the assigned grim reaper to Selene's grandmother. It turns out it's you! You came here to see her, right?!"

Azrael's jaw dropped when he heard Eros's complaints. Now he understood why Eros called him a traitor. He thought he came there for the grim reaper's initial visit.

The initial visit was intended for the soul who was about to die soon. The grim reaper assigned to the soul would pay the person an initial visit to familiarize and see the soul in person.

Azrael didn't know whether to cry or laugh because of this misunderstanding. Eros just punched him for a wrong assumption.

"I couldn't believe you, Eros! You assumed things incorrectly! I came here to see you! Not Selene's grandmother, You Big FOOL!"

Eros: "..."

Eros was at a loss for words when he heard that. A surge of relief filled his heart. However, he felt guilty for punching Azrael and accusing him of being a traitor.

Seeing the silly expression of Eros, Azrael walked over, hitting Eros at the back of his head.

*Pak!*

"Ouch!" Eros rubbed his head.

Azrael squinted his eyes at him. "Don't you dare complain to me! You are the one who is at fault here! You even punched my handsome face."

Eros could only zip his mouth as he couldn't refute that. It was indeed his fault for assuming things. Well, Azrael visited him at the wrong time. His presence made Eros worry too much.

After clearing the misunderstanding, Eros sighed deeply.

"By the way, why did you come here to see me?" Eros asked him with intrigue.

Azrael shot him a cold sharp glare. "Before asking me that, why don't you apologize to me first? I didn't hear you apologizing yet."

"Fine! Fine!" Eros waved his hand as a sign of defeat.

He faced Azrael and bowed his head before saying, "Azrael, the esteemed grim reaper of the Southern Gate, please forgive me for my honest mistake."

Azrael gently hit Eros's head once again, holding back his laughter.

"You fool! I can't accept your apology!" Azrael said with a straight face.

Eros raised his head, lifting an eyebrow. "Why?!"

"Add the word mighty and handsome. And you forgot about it! I'm from the EASTERN gate, not the Southern Gate!"

"Now, repeat your apology!" Azrael demanded.

Eros ground his teeth. Azrael was abusing him, taking advantage of his mistake to make him follow his demand.

But since he admitted that it was his fault, Eros would apologize to Azrael as a man with integrity.

"Azrael, the esteemed mighty handsome grim reaper of the Eastern Gate, please forgive me."

Azrael could no longer contain his laughter as Eros obediently complied with his demand.

"Good job, Eros! I forgive you now," Azrael mumbled, patting Eros's head as if he was a child.

"Alright, now tell me what brings you here?"

"Oh about that, I just want to inform you that the Netherworld is in a chaotic state right now because our Supreme Leader, Zaki, is furious."

Eros arched his eyebrow in confusion. "Why is that so?"

Azrael shrugged his shoulders and said, "Well, another strange phenomenon happened once again. One soul had been erased in the book of death again. Midas was supposed to collect that souk today but for some unknown reason, the name disappeared in the book of death."

Eros: "..."

'I think that soul refers to Samantha's soul whom Selene and I have protected today. We are the culprits who make Zaki angry.'
