Grandma Elysa was intrigued by this strange man. He was asking her some casual questions as if he already knew her and her granddaughter, Selene.

But Grandma Elysa didn't mind it. Her mood brightened up at the mention of her granddaughter.

"My granddaughter is fine. Yeah, you are right. We share a special bond," Grandma Elysa giggled.

The lips of the strange man also curled up into a smile when they started talking about Selene.

"Tell me more about her."

"My granddaughter is about to marry her long-time fiancee."

Complicated emotions flashed through the man's eyes when he heard that.

"Is she happy with him?" The man asked, unconsciously clenching his fists.

Grandma Elysa didn't notice it so she just continued talking about Selene and Renz.

"Yes, I think so. My granddaughter's name is Selene. I can see that the two are doing well. They look like a happy couple. Just this morning, I saw them hugging each other. So sweet, isn't it?"

The man just smiled faintly while listening to her. There was a gleam in his eyes as if he was surprised to hear this from Grandma Elysa.

The man asked her again. "Do you think that your granddaughter's fiancee truly loves her? Will he take care of her now and love her with all his heart?"

Grandma Elysa was taken aback once more when he heard the man's question. She was puzzled why he was suddenly asking her this question.

Then after a while, Grandma Elysa also asked herself. 'Does Renz truly love my granddaughter? Or is he just fulfilling the promise of the elders?'

Grandma Elysa shook her head. She saw the sweet moments between Selene and Renz during their prenup photoshoot. She could tell that Renz truly cared about her granddaughter. But was it also love?

"Although this marriage was already set when they were still young, I know the love can bloom in their hearts as long as they are willing to work things up," Grandma Elysa softly mumbled.

She couldn't explain why but she was comfortable talking about these things to this stranger.

"Are you not worried that you might be wrong on that?" The man asked her again.

Grandma Elysa's curled up into a gentle smile.

"Hmm, I believe in the power of love. It works mysteriously sometimes. Besides, I trust Renz. He promised me that he will take care of my Selene. He will love her, protect her and make her happy."

The man shook his head and murmured. "He did that in the past...but he broke his promise." A cold glint flashed through his eyes as he clenched his fists.

"What did you say?" Grandma Elysa asked the man. She didn't hear it clearly.

"Oh, it's nothing."

"By the way, where are you going?" The man tried to change the topic.

"I'm going back to my room to rest. My granddaughter and her friends are having fun in the pool. I don't want to interrupt them so I decided to go back."

The man nodded his head. "Can you stand? Do you still feel dizzy? I will escort you to your room. You should take a rest and sleep in your room."

"Yes, I think I can walk now. My dizziness disappeared. Thanks for your help."

Soon, the man stood up, guiding Grandma Elysa. He escorted her to her room. When she settled down on her bed, she thanked the strange man.

"By the way, I didn't know your name. You've helped me and have been talking for a while but I haven't got your name."

The man gave her a meaningful smile before answering her.

"You don't have to know… I am just a nobody. Sleep now and recover your strength. Nice talking to you… Elysa."

After saying that, the man started leaving her room. Grandma Elysa just watched his back.

Then she covered her mouth in amusement.

'Wait? How did he know my name? I haven't told him my name either.'

"Who is that man?" Grandma Elysa couldn't help but wonder.

Meanwhile, when the man left Grandma Elysa's room, he decided to go to the pool area where Renz, Selene, and her friends were having fun.

"I wanna see Selene…" There was longing in his eyes the moment he said those words.

After a few minutes, the man came to the 13th floor where the pool area was located. Upon entering the pool area, he could hear the laughter and fun noises.

He peered at his surroundings, searching for Selene. Then his eyes found her, laughing together with Renz, Samantha, and others.

Indeed, they were having fun. The man's eyes suddenly became misty as his gaze lingered on Selene's face.

Before he knew it, tears already fell from the corner of his eyes.

"Selene…" he mumbled her name with so much love.

On the other part of the hotel, Eros started roaming around, searching for a guy.

"Sigh, I don't think It is a good idea to do this. I can't approach any guy and tell him my agenda right away. I have to build a connection first."

Eros was also having a hard time finding a man who could meet his standard criteria. He had been walking around for twenty minutes.

He took a rest and settled down on the bench in the lobby, just watching people passing by.

"Argh! This is so hard. I can't find a suitable candidate to be my fake boyfriend," Eros lamented to himself.

Eros continued observing his surroundings when suddenly he saw several dark shadows entering the hotel. If he counted it right, then there were seven of them entering the hotel all at once.

Eros's eyes widened. 'Grim reapers? Why are they here?'

Eros stood up, his eyes following the dark shadows scattered around in the different directions inside the hotel.

"What the hell is going on here? As I can see, they are not ordinary grim reapers who are assigned to collect souls. They have a mission badge on their black robes."

Eros was about to follow them secretly when another grim reaper appeared in the hotel lobby.
