This was Azrael's first time mingling with humans. He felt a little bit awkward interacting with them. He didn't know what to say to them.

He was only used to guiding the soul of the dead to the Netherworld. He didn't need to talk much, unlike Eros who had been staying in the human world while interacting with the humans, especially his human contractees.

Samantha noticed that Azrael was not comfortable being surrounded by those ladies. She looked at Eros.

Samantha frowned as she noticed that Eros was just allowing the ladies to pester his 'boyfriend'.

'Is he not jealous at all or even feel threatened that his boyfriend might be stolen from him by beautiful ladies?' Samantha asked herself.

She shook her head when she saw Meghan trying to flirt with Azrael. Eros completely ignored Meghan so she changed her target.

Since she was done talking to Mr. M via text message, Samantha decided to join them and saved Azrael from those ladies.

"Hey, Ladies, why don't you change your clothes first and come back here? We will have a gathering at night," Samantha said, sending them away.

They were still wearing the dresses that they used during the pictorial. Hearing Samantha's words, the other ladies went back to their room to change.

Azrael heaved a sigh of relief when finally those ladies left. He glanced at Samantha, giving her a grateful look. Samantha just smiled back at him.

Arthur, Noel, and Declan who were just about to join them, felt disappointed when the other ladies left. The only people left in the cottage when the three men arrived were Eros, Azrael, Meghan, Micaela, and Samantha.

Selene and Renz just accompanied Grandma Elysa in her room before they came back to join their friends.

Arthur decided to interrogate Eros since he felt so bored.

"Hey, Gabriel, what happened last time? Did you catch your boyfriend cheating on you?" Arthur asked Eros with a mocking smile on his face.

Samantha, Azrael, and Eros frowned when they heard that out-of-the-blue question of Arthur. Even Micaela was surprised. She didn't hear that Eros aka Gabriel had a boyfriend.

'What? He is gay? Since when? Selene didn't mention this to me.' Micaela felt like she was not updated to Selene's life anymore.

Meghan's jaw also dropped when she learned that.

'Gosh, no wonder Gabriel is ignoring me. He doesn't like women. He is into men. Fortunately, I decided not to pursue him. Azrael here was a good deal,' Meghan thought to herself.

Meanwhile, Noel and Declan tried to fuel the discussion as per the suggestion of Arthur.

"Oh, really? Is that true? Maybe your boyfriend is just after your money! You are a nurse so he knows you have lots of earnings. Your boyfriend just used you for his own benefit," Noel joined the conversation.

They planned to annoy, embarrass and mock Eros, thinking that he would eventually admit that he was not gay.

Samantha's eyes widened in disbelief. They were talking about Eros's boyfriend, not knowing that he was there.

She wanted to say something but Azrael grabbed her hand, signaling her not to say a word and just let the men speak.

Samantha was taken aback after seeing his dark serious expression.

Azrael was acting as Eros's boyfriend today so he felt like he was the one they were talking about.

'Damn you, Eros?! How can you give me a reputation as a cheater boyfriend of yours who is just after your money?' Azrael complained inwardly as he shot Eros a cold sharp glare.

Eros, on the other hand, was still silent as he creased his brows. He wondered what kind of plot Arthur and his friends were cooking right now.

"As my advice, I think it is best for you to choose a woman. I'm sure there are lots of girls who are dying to be with you!" Declan also butted in.

"Ahem, just don't tell the woman that you are once gay or else, she will dump you right away," Arthur said sarcastically, mocking Eros.

"I thought Selene was your friend? Why didn't she give you this kind of advice? This is for your own sake," He added, provoking Eros further.

Eros could easily get affected if Selene was involved. He didn't like the way Arthur was treating Selene.

"Gabriel? Have you not ever tried getting into a relationship with a girl? Can't you find them attractive? Like for example, Selene. She is beautiful, isn't she?" Arthur was trying to insinuate that something might be going on between Selene and Eros.

'Hmm, what if the 'gay thing' is just your facade to hide your real relationship. I'm gonna find it out!' Arthur thought to himself.

Meghan, Micaela, and Samantha were just listening to them. There was heavy tension surrounding the cottage when Renz and Selene arrived. They wondered what was going on there.

Not noticing the newcomers, Eros had finally spoken after his long silence.

"Indeed, Selene is my friend and of course, I find her beautiful. And as for your other question, it is also a yes. I had never experience being in a relationship with a girl," Eros said. His cold gaze was fixed on Arthur's face.

Selene and Renz exchanged glances with one another, not understanding why the atmosphere inside the cottage was too serious.

"Why are they talking about me?" Selene murmured.

Renz just smiled faintly before shrugging his shoulders. He had no idea either.

"Hmm, so what happened to your cheater boyfriend?" Arthur probed.

"I wonder if he really even exists. Who knows you were just lying at that time since I caught you checking in the hotel with Selene?" he added meaningfully. He laughed at the end to make it sound like he was just joking.

Micaela and Meghan gasped after hearing that. Now, they started to suspect the closeness of Selene and Eros.

Samantha just rolled her eyes skyward. 'Here we go again. Our friend is already getting married but still, here they are, trying to create another more conflict.

Samantha and Eros were about to answer Arthur when a deep baritone voice was heard.

"How dare you talk like that to Gabriel? And why are you pushing him to like women? Why are you poking your nose into his relationship? Are you interested in him? Do you like Gabriel?" Azrael had finally spoken, irritating Arthur and his friends.

Arthur glared at him. "And who are you, by the way? It's my first time seeing you here! We are not asking your opinion here."

Azrael sneered at him before giving him an answer.

"I'm Azrael, Gabriel's boyfriend!" Azrael declared to them, feeling proud and confident.

"The one whom you called a cheater who is just after his money," Azrael added, scoffing at them.

Arthur: "..."

Noel: "..."

Declan: "..."

Meghan: "..."

Micaela: "..."

The five of them were rendered speechless. Only Samantha and Renz were not surprised.

Eros wanted to commend Azrael. The way he said it sounded so convincing as if he was a proud boyfriend trying to defend his bullied lover.

Samantha had the urge to laugh seeing the stunned expression of her troublemaker friends.

'Hahaha. Now, you are all tongue-tied! Tsk tsk. Very well said, Azrael!' Samantha thought to herself, patting Azrael's back.
