The next morning, Eros woke up and the first thing that greeted his sight was Azrael. He stayed in Eros's room, watching over him.

He didn't leave Eros's side as he was worried about him. He was guilty because Eros got injured while helping him in catching the dark soul.

To return the favor, he would do his best and take his role seriously as Eros's fake boyfriend.

"You didn't sleep?" Eros asked Azrael who was sitting on the sofa beside his bed. He yawned and rubbed his eyes.

"I am a heavenly being, Eros. I can stay awake for several days without getting sleepy."

Eros was injured so he fell asleep last night to recover his strength.

"How is your wound?" Azrael asked him.

Eros paused for a moment, looking down.

'Hmm. I feel strange. It doesn't hurt anymore. Did Selene's kiss really work last night?' Eros's lips stretched out into a bright smile.

"I'm feeling better now. I got the best medicine last night! See, I don't need to go back to Angel's Agape Realm. I am strong! The wound caused by a dark spear will not hinder me from fulfilling my duty!" Eros said confidently.

But in his mind, what he truly wanted to say was that, 'The wound caused by a dark spear can't separate me from Selene!'

Azrael just watched him with amusement. He could tell that Eros was not faking it. He looked energetic and lively today.

'Does sleeping really help him to recover fast?' Azrael marveled at that thought.

"Azrael, I have a suggestion."

"What is it?"

"I think you should watch Micaela. The dark soul is now targeting her. There is a possibility that the dark soul will come to her again." Eros expressed his opinion.

Azrael bobbed his head while rubbing his chin.

"I am considering that. But the dark soul is very smart. By now, I think he is also aware that we might try to stay closely with Micaela just to catch him."

"I can watch her in the shadows but not always. I can assign my other teammates to do that."

Eros nodded. He understood Azrael's plan. They would do a rotation job. Besides, keeping Micaela safe was not their main priority. Their main goal was to catch the dark soul and bring him back to the Netherworld.

The dark soul would be punished and be interrogated by Zaki.

"Oh, can I make another request?" Eros asked Azrael, smiling sheepishly.

Azrael had no heart to refuse him since he felt responsible for Eros's injury.

"Ok. Just tell me what you need."

"If you are the one keeping an eye on Micaela, can you report to me all her movements? Selene and I are trying to figure out Micaela's motive for getting involved with that kidnapping incident that cost Selene her life."

Eros looked at him expectantly, waiting for his reply.

"Okay, I can do that for you. But this is just between you and me. My fellow grim reapers will not agree to this even if I ask them. It is against our rule to meddle with the human's conflict!"

"No, worries. You, alone are enough! Haha!" Eros declared to Azrael.

Azrael's expression cracked once again. "Gosh, Eros. Don't say things like that. It sounds weird coming from you. Don't get carried away by our role-playing act."

Azrael still cringed as he remembered last night's incident when Eros almost kissed him. Fortunately, their lips didn't touch.

"Argh! My first kiss should be Sienna, not you Eros!" Azrael suddenly blurted out.

Eros: "..."

'What's wrong with him? So early in the morning, he is already thinking about kissing!'

Eros clicked his tongue while shaking his head.

"I don't have plans on stealing your first kiss," Eros said before getting up from the bed. He went to the bathroom to wash his face and brush his teeth.

Azrael followed him. There was an extra toothbrush inside so he gave it to Azrael. In the end, Eros ended up teaching Azrael how to brush his teeth.

"Starting yesterday until today, you should act like an ordinary human!" Eros said, patting Azrael's back.

After they were done doing the human's morning routine, they came out of Eros's room to join others for breakfast. Everyone would leave the resort after breakfast.

That was also the time Arthur and his friends were passing by the hallway. They saw Azrael and Eros leaving the same room.

"Gosh! Did they sleep together last night?" Noel couldn't help but blurt out.

"Gosh! These two handsome men really love each other. Imagine, they kissed each other in front of Meghan last night!" Declan also spoke up.

Arthur scoffed upon hearing that. "It looks like they had a passionate night in Gabriel's room last night."

"Yeah, I think so. No wonder they just suddenly disappeared last night!" Noel said, supporting Arthur's claim.

"At least, we have less competition now with the ladies. Hahaha!" Declan proudly said.

Everyone gathered at the same venue where they would be eating their breakfast.

Selene, Renz, Micaela, and Grandma Elysa were already eating their breakfast when Azrael and Eros entered the dining hall.

Samantha was also following them behind. Soon, she was able to catch up with the two men. She immediately grabbed Azrael's hand and Eros's hand, pulling them towards Selene's table.

Azrael glanced at her hand that was holding his hand. This was the first time a human held his hand.

'Her hand is so soft and warm,' Azrael thought to himself. Unconsciously, he gently squeezed her hand.

Samantha stopped and gazed up to look at him. Azrael felt anxious meeting Samantha's eyes.

'Why is she looking at me like that? Did I do something wrong?' Azrael suddenly became conscious because of Samantha's gaze.

After a few seconds, Samantha just smiled at him sweetly. She found him cute seeing his nervous expression.

Azrael suddenly looked away, his cheeks were blushing after seeing Samantha's smile. Then he heard her giggle.

"Hey, Azrael, relax! I'm not gonna eat you!" Samantha cheerfully said, teasing him.
