Renz watched Selene and Eros in envy. He knew he was not supposed to feel upset since Eros was close to Selene and Grandma Elysa because he was her private nurse.

But seeing Selene relying on Eros more than him was hurting his ego. In his mind, he was Selene's fiancee so he should be the one comforting her right now.

However, for some unknown reason, Selene was pushing him away as if she was mad at him. She chose to cry in Eros's arms, instead of him. She let Eros comfort her, instead of him.

Renz could only watch Selene from a distance since she didn't want him to be near her.

'What happened? Why is Selene mad at me?' Renz marveled at that thought.

He couldn't consider the possibility that Selene already knew what happened during his Bachelor Party. Renz thought that if she already knew then she would not come to the church.

However, she still showed up today. So Renz assumed that Selene still had no idea about what happened to him and Micaela.

Meanwhile, after Selene calmed down, Eros brought her to the morgue to see Grandma Elysa. Selene cried there for several minutes just hugging her grandma's lifeless body.

She thought she would become strong when that day came. But now, she just felt helpless and lonely once again.

She lost her, the most important person in her life right now. Her grandmother was taken away from her once more and it hurt her so much.

Eros could only watch her shedding tears. She cried her heart out until she got exhausted.

Eros never left her side. He accompanied her, watching and listening to her painful cries.

After she was done, Eros brought her back to her ward. Selene still needed rest. She was in shock and she experienced intense emotional pain right now.

Because of fatigue and exhaustion, Selene drifted off to sleep immediately. Eros watched over her. Selene had no appetite to eat. Her food was untouched.

Eros's heart was breaking seeing Selene like this. If he could just ease her pain, then he would do it for her.

He knew that she was suffering. She felt so miserable. Selene was like this when she lost her grandmother in her previous life. She shut off herself to everyone.

She became distant from others including Renz and Micaela. Maybe at that time, Renz got tired of her since she didn't let anyone in.

She pushed them away as she preferred to be alone. Then Micaela and Renz eventually fell for each other.

Eros was still inside her ward when Renz arrived. Moments ago, he went home to have a quick shower and changed his clothes.

Renz walked over to Eros who was sitting beside her sickbed.

"How is she?" Renz asked Eros.

"I think she felt a little bit better now after crying for an hour. Fortunately, she fell asleep."

Eros and Renz looked at Selene. Her eyes were swollen. Her cheeks and nose were red from crying. She didn't look well.

"Gab, you can go home now. I will be the one to watch Selene tonight. You should take a rest as well."

Eros frowned. He didn't want to leave Selene right now. He promised to stay by her side in times like this.

Aside from that, Eros noticed the strange behavior of Selene towards Renz a while ago. He felt her anger directed at Renz.

But he had no valid reason to stay there since Renz was there.

"Grandma Elysa will be brought to St. Clement Chapel. You can go there tomorrow. Let's meet tomorrow. I will accompany Selene. My parents are already taking care of Grandma Elysa's funeral," Renz informed Eros.

Eros just nodded his head. He stood up, glancing at Selene's sleeping figure.

Although he couldn't stay there as Gabriel in his human form, Eros could transform into his cupid form and stay with Selene without being seen by Renz.

Eros was about to turn and leave when Renz had spoken again.

"Thank you, Gabriel, for being there with Selene. I am really grateful. You comforted her today."

Though Renz was jealous, he could not deny the fact that Eros's presence helped a lot in comforting Selene. He was truly grateful for that.

On the other hand, Eros appreciated that Renz was concerned about Selene. He knew he was genuine.

So he couldn't understand why he got involved with Micaela again. He could see that Renz was already falling for Selene but Micaela got into the picture again.

For Selene's sake, Eros was letting this slide for today. He would confront Renz after Grandma Elysa's funeral.

"No need to thank me. I am doing this because I am her friend. Just make sure to take care of Selene, Renz. Don't let her down this time," Eros said to Renz meaningfully before leaving the ward.

Renz just watched Eros's retreating back. Complex emotions flashed on his face before moving his gaze to Selene.

'I should not let her down… but why do I feel like… I already did.' Renz thought to himself, clenching his fists.

Meanwhile, Eros went outside the hospital to transform into his cupid form before coming back to Selene's ward.

Along the way, he met Azrael. He was back to the human world after visiting the Netherworld.

"Why are you here so fast?" Eros asked him curiously.

"Did you meet Zaki? What did he tell you? Did you find out anything about this phenomenon?" he added.

Azrael shook his head, feeling dejected.

"Zaki left the Netherworld. I didn't see him. I don't know when he will come back. Once he leaves the Netherworld, no one knows his whereabouts."

"Is that a problem or not?" Eros asked him again.

Azrael sighed deeply before answering him. "I don't know. But I have a bad feeling about this."

"By the way, I checked the book of death. Do you know what I found out? Selene's grandmother is not on the list of the people who died today!"

Eros's eyes widened in surprise. "How is that possible?"

"I have no idea as well. I guess it's another mystery to solve."

Unknown to Eros and Azrael, someone was watching them right now, overhearing their conversation.
