Five days had passed after the burial of Grandma Elysa. Selene returned to school and Eros was accompanying her in his cupid form.

She felt a little bit better now compared to before. Eros's presence and his advice helped Selene in cheering her up.

She focused her attention on her studies while Renz became busy with the company issue. They haven't talked yet. Selene had no plan of confronting him about the video.

Selene just arrived at Anderson Family Mansion when Aunt Ling informed her that she had a visitor.

"Selene, Mr. Clarence Chin came to see you. He is waiting for you in the living room."

Selene didn't expect that he would visit her today.

"Okay, Aunt Ling. Can you prepare a snack for us?"

"Yes, dear. I'm gonna go to the kitchen now and make snacks for both of you," Aunt Ling said before leaving Selene.

"Who is Clarence Chin?" Eros asked Selene. He was in his cupid form so only Selene could hear and see him right now.

"He is my parent's right-hand man, currently the one acting as CEO of our company. You met Uncle Clarence during Grandma's funeral."

"Oh, I forgot about him," Eros responded, scratching his face.

Selene just smiled at Eros. They proceeded to the living room to meet Clarence.

Selene greeted him politely as soon as she reached his spot.

"Uncle, why are you here?" Selene asked him as they sat down.

"There is something you need to know. The company is not doing well lately. The board members and other directors called for an emergency meeting two days from now."

"Selene, they are trying to oust you as the CEO of the company. They planned on appointing a new CEO. They are now showing their fangs, targeting your position."

Selene was taken aback when she heard that. But she had already expected this. In her previous life, some people were trying to scheme against her just to take over the company.

She was aware of the power struggle within the company. Thanks to Renz and the Chou Family, she was able to keep her position.

"I came here to tell you this personally. I am also planning to inform Renz but I learned that he was busy resolving the company issue of the Star Corp."

"Uncle, don't tell Renz about this. I don't want to hassle him with my own problems. Let me handle this. I will attend the meeting and prove to them that I have the right to keep my position. I will show them that I deserve it," Selene said, feeling determined.

"Uncle, can you send me the files about our company's financial reports, recent activities and projects. I will look into them tonight."
