Eros swooned after hearing Selene's words. His heart went crazy once again, pounding rapidly inside his chest.

Her last words resounded in his ears.

{ "I needed you more than him…" }

Eros's cheeks heated up as he gazed at her with his blinking blue eyes. He couldn't believe that Selene would say that.

He wanted to hear it again.

"What did you say?" he asked her expectantly, hoping that Selene would repeat her words.

Selene looked at him with amusement. She could see the flushed expression of Eros. She didn't know whether to laugh or not. He was so charming with his blushing face.

It seemed that she succeeded in diverting his attention. Eros was not curious anymore about what was happening between Renz and Selene.

He just wanted to hear those words from Selene again. And she didn't fail him. She repeated her words, even emphasizing them to him.

"I said… I needed you more… I mean… I Need You More than Him."

Eros's eyes lit up, his face glowing with joy. He was carried away by his emotions and feelings.

Without saying a word, Eros cupped her face and leaned over to kiss her on her lips. Selene's eyes widened in surprise. She didn't expect Eros would suddenly kiss her.

But Selene didn't stop him. She closed her eyes and followed his lead. Eros's lips were gently brushing her lips.

'Why am I allowing Eros to kiss me? I thought the last time I would kiss him was during the day of my wedding. This is so wrong. He is my cupid.'

Selene was so distracted that she ended up biting Eros's lips.

"Aww," Eros grunted.

Selene broke the kiss. "Oh, I'm sorry," She apologized. She touched Eros's lips, wiping the blood using her finger.

Eros chuckled seeing Selene's worried expression.

"You bit me. Am I that tasty?" Eros said jokingly. There was a teasing smile on his face.

Selene rolled her eyes. Eros's narcissistic side was kicking in again.

"You were the one who kissed me first." Selene punched his shoulder.

"It's your fault. You seduced me with your flowery words," Eros said, justifying his action.

Selene couldn't believe his shamelessness. He was saying it was her fault again for seducing him with her words.

Selene shook her head helplessly. "Are you that easy to sway? You called that seduction?! Eh, seriously Eros?"

"If I have to seduce you, I will need to wear sexy revealing clothes and apply some makeup to look alluring in your eyes. Then, I will dance in front of you with slow music, until you drool over me. I will have to strip my clothes one by one and touch you until you lose control of yourself." Selene spoke up spontaneously as if she was lecturing Eros on how to seduce a man properly.

Eros was rendered speechless, watching Selene in amusement.

"Ahem, Selene… where did you learn that? I thought you were innocent?" Eros asked her in disbelief.

Selene shrugged her shoulders and said, "I watched it… in the movies. The femme fatale is always doing that to their target. Using their body to seduce men to get what they want from them."

Eros held Selene's shoulders and turned her to face him.

"Selene… believe me or not. I swear, you don't need to do all of those things just to seduce me. Just looking at me intently while biting your lips is enough for me to lose control of myself."

Selene: "..."

*Silence…*

There was a moment of complete silence after Eros said those words. Selene gulped hard, fighting the urge to bite her lower lip.

'Is he serious?'

Eros's penetrating gaze was making her conscious. But she couldn't look away as if a magnet was pulling her eyes to gaze at him.

Eros sighed deeply before breaking the silence.

"But I don't mind if you prefer to use that strategy to seduce me. Hmm, do you think we should try it?"

Selene squinted her eyes at him. Indeed, Eros's shamelessness was to the highest level.

*Smack*

"Aww!"

Selene just smacked Eros's forehead because of his last remarks.

"In your dreams! Go away, Eros! I need to study. You are distracting me."

Selene pushed him away. Eros could only laugh out loud seeing the annoyed expression of Selene.

"Hey! Don't be upset! I am just kidding!"

"Kidding my foot! You are just a naughty and shameless narcissistic angel! Get lost!" Selene started hitting him using pillows.

"Hey, hey. Stop hitting me! I thought you needed me. Why are you trying to send me out now?"

"Because you are a great distraction! Go Away!"

Eros burst out laughing before leaving Selene's room. Selene got annoyed by him.

But Eros already felt content. His night was complete. She said she needed him more than Renz. They kissed each other. And they teased one another. He was so happy about that.

Meanwhile, if Eros felt so happy tonight, his friend, Azrael, was feeling so anxious. They failed to catch the escaped soul.

The escaped soul got out of their radar once again. They couldn't trace him. They didn't know his whereabouts. It didn't visit Selene nor Micaela.

It seemed that he just disappeared without leaving a trace and a clue.

And tonight, they just got confirmation from the Netherworld that Zaki had already made his moves. He was in the human world but he didn't show himself to Azrael and his team.

He was working alone. This made him feel more anxious. They had no idea what Zaki was doing.

"Are we getting punished after this? We should catch the dark soul! We can't let our supreme leader catch him first," Azrael's fellow grim reaper voiced out his opinion.

"Azrael, do you have any plans? Our group is in trouble now. Supreme Leader will not let us slide for our failure." Another elite grim reaper shared his concerns with them.

Azrael shook his head. She had no idea as well.

"Continue our search. I will just find someone. Contact me if you ever see the dark soul, okay?" Azrael said, thinking about Eros.

"Where are you going again?"

"To someone I know."

Azrael didn't explain further as he went to see Eros.
