[The giant centipede's paralysis poison reduces movement speed and attack speed by 5% for 60 seconds and applies sustained damage.]
[Due to the bleeding poison of the giant leech, your Health continues to decrease for 90 seconds from sustained damage.]
[The giant poisonous moth's scale powder poison (shiny white powder attached to the moth's wings) reduces physical defense and magic defense by 7% for 120 seconds and applies sustained damage.]
[The effect of the paralysis poison is reduced by 80%, the effect of the bleeding poison is reduced by 70%, and the effect of scale powder poison is reduced by 60% due to Lumen, Asirante's high Willpower.]
The Poisonous Insects Zone.
As the name suggests, the monsters that appear in this zone are bound to be poisonous.
The Poisonous insects in the name is roughly referring to poisonous insects, bugs, and small animals such as centipedes, leeches, poisonous moths, etc.
As if to prove their presence, such monsters actually appeared in front of me.
And they were far from small.
As the modifier "giant" in front of their names suggested, the smallest one as big as my head.
Besides, their poison wasn't simply ornamental; it was used for real attacks.
In addition to applying sustained damage, their poison attacks could also apply a significant debuff. As a result, their attacks reduced my movement speed, attack speed, health, physical defense, and magic defense in succession.
Of course, my superior Willpower offset most of the effects.
Moreover, I was confident in avoiding all such poison attacks if I wanted to do so because I possessed Blink with no cooldown, which could teleport me anywhere.
But I didn't use it.
Even if I didn't sense any danger now, I had to be prepared for any contingencies.
To be honest, the paralyzing poison or bleeding poison or scale powder poison which was rather unfamiliar to me did not pose a threat to me at all as my high Willpower offset most of their effects. I had the confidence to withstand them even if my Willpower didn't reduce their effects by 60-80%.
I am strong enough to win even if my combat power is reduced even by 5% to 10%.
Anyway, I counterattacked in response to the various poisonous insects.

"Ice Field! Multiple Thin Ice!"
Pasaasak!
"Ice Storm."
As soon as I laid down the Ice Field reinforced with Thin Ice, I used Ice Storm, which was now my No. 1 AOE skill instead of Pouring Hailstone.
Puck! Puck! Puck!
The Ice Storm blew ruthlessly lots of ice chunks at the poisonous insects that were as large as my head.
The insect with the weakest defense and health seemed to be the giant poisonous moth, whose wings, which were as large as my body, were ripped apart by the Ice Storm and thrown onto the Ice Field.
At first glance, the giant poisonous moth whose wings were torn and filled with holes looked miserable, but my Ice Storm had no eyes, so it didn't slow down its attack against the moth.
Finally, the giant poisonous moth crashed onto the Ice Field and could barely flutter its torn wings, while my Ice Storm kept stabbing ice chunks into its body. A little later, the poisonous moth ceased to move.
The moth was finished.
The next insect to die was the centipede. At first, it seemed to withstand the Ice Storm, but not long after, its outer shell that looked like sturdy armor wrapped around its body began to crack and puncture in numerous places.
Moreover, unlike the giant poisonous moth that escaped from the range of my Ice Field because it was fluttering its wings in the air, the giant centipede suffered the sustained damage from the Ice Field from the beginning. Nonetheless, I thought the centipede defended well against my Ice Storm.
But in the end, the giant poisonous moth and the centipede were killed one after the other.
Of course, there was one more venomous insect here, namely, the giant leech.
"Yeah, that's why they are called a leech…"
Obviously, a lot of ice had penetrated the giant leech's body, but it quickly repaired the hole and did not suffer much damage.
"Pouring Hailstone! Multiple Ice Arrow!"
Pitter-patter, pitter-patter!
Puck! Puck! Puck!
I used several single target skill attacks at the giant leech and also used Pouring Hailstone that had tremendous power.
And that was it. Even the giant leech, who seemed not to have been damaged by the Ice Storm at all, could not withstand the Pouring Hailstones that kept raining down on it.

The giant leech crumbled like jelly.
Upon witnessing this spectacular scene, I had no choice but to comment a bit.
"Hmm. They look really ugly."
They were literally poisonous insects. Therefore, their appearances were far from beautiful.
Of course, some have exceptionally beautiful looks such as the poisonous mushrooms and poisonous frogs, but the leeches, centipedes, and poisonous moths were not included in such a category.
So, based on my hunting experiences here, I wondered if this place was abandoned because of the appearances of the monsters rather than the level of difficulty.
However, I didn't care much about their appearances because there was something I cared about more. It was none other than my EXP.
[You have leveled up.]
Confirming such a message always made me feel pleasant, so I immersed myself in hunting again.
I focused on hunting so much that I forgot that I arrogantly told the people behind to wait for me until I was done hunting in five hours. I was arrogant enough to tell these people, who were anxiously wanting to meet me, that I could meet only five of them when my hunting was over.
Three hours later.
[Super Beauty: Wow, I'm so proud of you, brother. So, you ordered the guys from Mirae and Daesung to wait for you until you're done hunting, right? ]
[Lumen: Hey sis, we already agreed that I should act like that from the beginning. Moreover, you told me that there were users looking for me everywhere, including the Poisonous Insects Zone, the next hunting ground you chose for me. If I had hunted in Myongjin's empty hunting ground and gotten caught, I might have invited their suspicion.]
[Super Beauty: Lol. I'm not blaming you, brother. I'm just proud of you. Who would have expected that aside from Daesung, the guys from Mirae, the arrogant top business group, would obediently follow my brother's order?]
My sister seemed to have had a lot of grudges against Mirae.
Of course, I could understand her feelings as she was on the executive board of Myongjin.
In fact, Mirae had never lost their No. 1 ranking among Korea's top five business groups including Myongjin, Daesung, Kusan and Daeyu.
Besides, Myongjin had to eventually withdraw after struggling for many years in certain business areas that overlapped with Mirae's businesses.
Anyway, that wasn't important to me at this point, so I asked her another question.
[Lumen: Our guys from Myongjin are also attending this meeting?]
[Super Beauty: Of course! Since Asirante, the hottest topic these days, appeared, we can't afford to be a bystander anymore. Brother Kiyoung and Managing Director Insu Sok are going to attend the meeting. By the way, you know how to behave yourself at the meeting, right?]
[Lumen: Of course I know. I'm going to pretend I've met Kiyoung and Director Sok for the first time in my life.]
[Super Beauty: Great. Let me tell you something. You should never leak any information about yourself. Those who are following you now do not exist just in Korea. Perhaps even your life is at stake now, which is why Dad is so worried about you. China, in particular, is openly searching for you now.]
[Lumen: Ok, got it. Don't worry.]
I logged out after reassuring my sister who earnestly asked me to be extremely careful.
Of course, I know that my sister is worried about me for a reason. Her worries are far from excessive because 'Revival Legend' is not just a game.
That's why she and not my father who suggested I play a double role, brought up the possibility of not spreading my ID Asirante because it was likely to spread not only in Korea but also around the world quickly.
But I do not regret that I let my ID Asirante spread widely because I had gained too much to stop for fear that I would receive such great attention.
So I would have insisted on going about it my way if my sister or even my father tried to stop me.
"I've got two more hours left?"
I began to hunt again and ran into some more monsters.
Maybe I can make the 4th virtual reality beyond the 3rd virtual reality come true even tomorrow.
Tramp, tramp!
I slowly moved out of the Poisonous Insect Zone to meet the people outside as promised because I had finished hunting for five hours.

Cycles of Ruin
Civilizations rise and fall. Kith build them up and monsters, led by powerful dungeon keepers, bring them to ruin. For three thousand years the cycle has been maintained by the Guild of Chaos and its endless hordes of minions who—in absence of their long lost creators—have taken it upon themselves to keep the realms of the universe in balance. The Guild has grown efficient at this task, but some among its ranks have begun to ponder the utility of a universe that has been robbed of the very possibility of change. Basil von Doom is one such dungeon keeper working for the Guild, leading an army of loyal minions from one conquest to the next; burning civilizations and sifting through the ruins in search of forbidden knowledge that the races of kith were never meant to possess. But having spent more than half a century in pursuit of glory and fame—trying to live up to the legacy of his father—Basil has grown indifferent towards his work. Desperate for a worthy challenge, but bound by his duties as a dungeon keeper, he has turned his mind towards uncovering the ultimate fate of the previous master of his house and the secrets that were buried with him. Now the young Master of House Doom must balance his growing interest in pursuing the trail of his father with the responsibilities that come with running a dungeon in service to the Guild of Chaos. To remain in good standing with the Guild, Basil has even accepted the task of mentoring an apprentice dungeon keeper, a young succubus named Elnora. It is at the tail end of her apprenticeship that the story begins; with a civilization poised to fall—its greatest heroes gathering for one last assault on the heart of darkness—and Basil striking up a conversation with his apprentice that will set into motion the unraveling of the universe. ***This is a rewrite and continuation of my story that was first posted on RoyalRoad a few years ago.
