Closed Beta That Only I Played Chapter 177

I first met the Salte clan that Veroni just mentioned in Pioneers' City. At the request of Kihanna, one of their clan members, I fought the Gahwa Guild members and expelled them from the city.
At that time, I told her my name was Asirante instead of Lumen without thinking about it. When Pioneers' City was later renamed Asirante, it became my second ID.
"I see. By the way, why are you suddenly meeting me like this?"
I won first place in the previous 'Catch Up With Yourself' event thanks to my ID Asirante, so I responded politely to Veroni. She then opened her mouth, holding both her hands earnestly.
"I've come here to ask you for an urgent favor, Asirante!"
I could figure out what she was trying to say because she made a similar expression to Kihanna when she asked me to expel the Gahwa Guild from Pioneers' City.
So, I opened my mouth right away.
"Okay, I will listen to what you have to say."
Of course, I was continually troubled by the absence of the message announcing the level 700 only quest that I had been looking forward to, for I could have obtained a huge reward like Blink with zero cooldown by achieving the top rankings in the quest.
Back then I obtained lots of things through the Salte clan's quest such as the title Honorable Name, golden rings, EXP, and remaining stat points.
Above all, I owed a lot to my ID Asirante because it was thanks to this ID that I could play a dual role and win first place in the 'Catch Up With Yourself' event.
So, I decided to first listen to what Veroni had to say, and accept her request as long as it was reasonable.
Why? Because no matter how difficult my situation was, I needed to proceed with quests whenever I could since they were so valuable.
"Thank you!"
When I said I would listen to her, Veroni bowed her head and kept expressing gratitude.

Then she began to tell her story.
"As I mentioned earlier, there are a total of ten clans in the Glue Plains. The Glue Council, consisting of 550 members, is the highest executive body for all of the Glue Plains, but the ten clans manage their own territories and live peacefully among each other. But recently, the Lotz clan, the largest among the ten clans with 100 members attending the Glue Council, made a suggestion."
While she was talking to me earnestly, Veroni swallowed dryly, then continued.
"They suggested that ten clans were too much, and we should reduce the number to seven!"
Veroni trembled in anger while saying these words. And the four people behind her also clenched their fists or trembled like her as if they were very angry.
Obviously, Veroni still had not finished her story yet.
Nevertheless, I seemed to know what she was trying to say.
If Veroni's Zaltz clan had possessed great power, they could have rejected the Lotz clan's proposal and would not be so angry right now.
But I didn't interrupt her and waited for what she had to say next.
"At the same time, the Lotz clan made a proposal about how to reduce the clans because it would cause lots of damage if the clans fought an all-out war against each other. So, they decided to hold a small-scale battle with each of the clans sending a number of troops that matched their influence in the Glue Council and thus the Glue Plains. For example, the Lotz clan, which has the largest power, would send 100 men, and the Hantz clan, the second largest, would dispatch 90 men. The bottom three clans in this battle would be absorbed by other clans and cease to exist forever."
"Then, what about the Zaltz clan?"
Veroni said that the 'Glue Council' consisted of a total of 550 people, with 100, 90, 80, 70, 20, and 10 representatives from each of the ten clans in the order of their power.
I wondered if the Zaltz clan was the smallest among them with only ten, but I still asked her, hoping it was not. But my guess was right.

She said, "Well, the Zaltz clan is the smallest of the ten clans, so we have only ten members in the Glue Council, and our fighters are also limited to ten."
Veroni bowed her head deeply and so did the four men behind her.
At that moment, I conducted a war simulation about what would happen when the ten Zaltz clan members engaged in the war as fighters.
They were the easiest prey, to say the least.
The remaining 540 members of the Glue Council would clearly target the Zaltz Clan since it was only natural.
Of course, the 8th and 9th largest clans are only a little stronger than the Zaltz clan, so they might help the Zaltz clan because they would be the next target after the Zaltz clan was eliminated.
'Man, it's clear that the largest clans of the Glue Council basically declared they would remove the 8th, 9th, and 10th clans,' I thought.
Obviously, the 450 people of the Glue Council would not join hands to attack the largest clan Lotz with 100 members at the start.
That was the same case with the second largest Hantz clan which had 90 people.
Veroni said in a tearful voice earnestly, "Please do us a favor! Just as you helped free the Salte clan from their slavery status, we earnestly ask for your help!"
At that moment, a message rang.
[Quest: Save the Zaltz Clan.
-The Zaltz clan, who were once the dominant clan in the Glue Plains.
But they are now faced with an important battle that will determine their fate and survival. Help the Zaltz clan to survive!
-Reward.
: 500 million golden rings.
: 500 remaining stat points.
: 7000 coins.
: You will acquire a legendary grade blessing.]
It must be a very difficult quest because it's 99% likely that the Zaltz clan will be the first target out of the ten clans.
But I smiled gleefully on the inside because I was fully confident.
At that moment another message rang.
[This is a quest with a special reward.
-If you defeat the Lotz clan that will dispatch 100 combat members, you will receive an additional reward as below.
: 500 remaining stat points.]
The remaining stat points that I would receive if I won increased to 1000 in an instant.
So, I opened my mouth right away.
"I will do my best to help the Zaltz clan survive by all means."
I was happy about the 500 remaining stat points, but what really caught my eyes was the legendary grade blessing.
When I accepted Veroni's request, she started crying out of relief and exclaimed, "Thank you so much! Thanks a million, Airante!"
To be honest, I decided to accept the quest out of my own interests rather than saving the Zaltz clan. So, I felt a bit guilty, so I held her hand and said while trying to hide my true feelings, "You're welcome. If you have a bond with the Salte clan, you are my friend too. So, don't worry."
It was worth it to make a good impression on her with my words, so I comforted her by promising my full support.
Then an unexpected message rang this time.
[The level 700 only quest has been robbed by Yosif in Region 29.
-Yosif's trait: Quest Robber
-Since you are currently blocked by the wall, you can't track down Yosif.]
"?"
I was slightly embarrassed by the unexpected message.
Although I was embarrassed, I felt relieved at the same time because I finally knew why the message about the level 700 only quest didn't ring, and found out the identity of the guy bold enough to steal my quest.
Of course, I was worried a bit.
'I hope he won't rob this quest as well.'
Fortunately, the 'Save the Zaltz Clan' registered in the quest window did not disappear.
