Closed Beta That Only I Played Chapter 280

While I was growing up, I avoided him because I had an inferiority complex when compared to him, but that couldn't be a reason for me to mess with my brother's wedding ceremony.
I really hoped his wedding ceremony could take place with everybody's blessings.
"Got it, Juyoung," my father nodded in approval.
Our meeting continued. My father argued that it was necessary for the Myongjin Shelter to host a big party, timed with my brother's wedding, to remind those staying at the shelter that they were Myongjin members and this place was safe. As a result, we had to discuss lots of things to prepare for such an event.
The next day I was busy hunting as usual, because I didn't have to do anything in particular for my brother's wedding. Besides, not just my family members, but even those who knew me encouraged me to continue hunting.
Of course, I bragged about my magic Stat Ring to my sister, since she had teased me in the presence of my brother and his would-be wife.
My sister suddenly messaged me.
[Super Beauty: Again?]
[Lumen: Yeah]
[Super Beauty: Oh my...as many as 5000 Stat points from only one item?]
Like she said, 5000 Stat points was so huge that ordinary users could not even imagine them.
But my sister said something provocative this time. [Super Beauty: Then why do your Stat points look so low to me?]
In fact, my sister's Intellect was already close to 4000, but it didn't seem huge to me because mine was higher than that. If I had gotten this magic Stat Ring earlier, I could probably have beaten Smith's party with just ice-type attacks.
Anyway I continued to hunt, and finally I would achieve level 1100 soon.
However, all of the limited quests were already over, and there was no chance for acquiring new skills, so no message rang out this time.
Nonetheless, I could put a happy smile on my face. The fact that I had reached level 1100 meant that I was even closer to reaching level 1200!

At the Myongjin Shelter a few days later.
"Everybody, keep vigilant!"
"Understood!"
"Got it!"
Although my father didn't send out invitations to them, lots of people called to say they would attend my brother's wedding to congratulate him.
My father did not refuse their request to attend, intending to show them that the Myongjin Shelter had a good name in society.
As a result, Capt. Jungdae Lim and his security guards were very busy in the morning.
I took a look at some important places inside the shelter with them. I wanted to make sure nothing unpleasant would happen during my brother's wedding, since so many guests were supposed to gather here today.
Even though my brother's wedding ceremony was to take place at 2 PM, guests started showing up as early as 10 AM.
Among them were the members of the Mirae, Daesung, and Kusan Guilds as well as the Tugal Guild of Mongolia that had allied with the Myongjin Guild and some Chinese guilds recently.
Surprisingly, even Japan's Mitsuya Guild sent somebody to the ceremony, although their leader Ryu Seichi didn't show up in person. There were also top executives of the major guilds not only in Europe, but even from the United States, Canada, and South America.
Of course, the security guards didn't accept everybody who wanted to come. They accepted only those whose identities were confirmed and who were duly recognized by others.
As for those who started to look for me at the ceremony, I didn't meet with a single person, nor did I care about doing so. Today was my brother's wedding day, and it was he and his future wife who should be today's stars.
Exactly at 2 PM my brother's wedding ceremony started.
"Then we will proceed with the wedding of the groom Kiyoung Hong and the bride Eunji Jung."
There were so many people from outside, plus those living inside the Myeongjin Shelter, that the wedding ceremony was inevitably held in an empty lot outside the main building.

As his younger brother, I watched the ceremony from up close, next to my sister.
I whispered to her, "Aren't you getting married soon?"
"Uh? Why should I get married?"
"Are you going to stay single for the rest of your life?"
"Who told you so?"
"You just said you would remain single."
"Well, I'm going to find someone someday."
"..." I turned my gaze to my brother instead of responding to her silly words. To be honest, I didn't even think her idea was that bad.
At that moment something unexpected happened.
[Monsters have appeared near No. 9 and No. 10 outside bases!]
[They have been Identified as the flying monster, Gargoyle.]
[As they are flying monsters, you should clear out and evacuate quickly!]
I was wearing a small earphone connected to the security guards just in case I could move quickly in an emergency.
There was a lot of noise and confusion among the numerous wedding guests.
The central vacant lot where the wedding was being held, and also the No. 9 and 10 outside bases were clearly visible to the guests, so all of them confirmed the gargoyles were coming. Naturally there was a big commotion and noise among the guests. They could see the monsters easily since they were flying.
I felt I needed to move fast to crack down on the monsters quickly, but I didn't have to.
Puck! Puck! Puck! Puck!
Roots were sprouting from the ground at high speed.
The roots attacked the hundreds of gargoyles flying around with their pointed tips. They even wrapped up and bound the gargoyles.
[Kheeeeeek!]
[Khuuuuuuhk!]
Of course, the gargoyles did not stand there and take it. They screamed at the roots coiling about their bodies and attacked the roots with their sharp teeth and claws.
But the more they did so, the tighter the roots began to coil the gargoyles.
The roots began to twist endlessly after tightening around the gargoyles and dragged them down into their original territory, namely the underground.
In a few breaths, the hundreds of gargoyles disappeared.
"..."
"..."
"..."
The guests became quiet all of a sudden as if nothing had happened.
Soon they heard the sound of numerous golden rings and coins sprouting out from the ground.
Watching them, I walked up to the host of the ceremony and borrowed his microphone to say, "It's not a big deal. As long as you are inside the Myongjin Shelter, you are absolutely safe. So, please give your blessings to my brother and sister-in-law who are holding their wedding today!" and I returned the microphone to the host.
As soon as I finished, there was a resounding applause from the guests.
"Wow, great!"
"Myongjin! Myongjin!"
For a moment I thought that I was the guest most welcomed by the crowd because of the monsters' appearance.
I shouted at them, "Please collect all the coins and golden rings!"
The coins obtained in this way were more important than the golden rings, since they could be traded for some other items.
I watched my brother's wedding ceremony silently as it resumed shortly afterwards.
While my brother's wedding ceremony was taking place, a man in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, took off his 3rd generation virtual reality connector and stood up.
"Hahaaha!" He burst out laughing as if he was very happy about something. He looked at the picture hanging on one of the walls and exclaimed, "Just wait! My parasite is almost done growing!"
The picture on the wall was of Juyoung Hong.

Crimson Pervert
Markus gets - quite literally - thrown into an RPG Fantasy world. Casually gaining game-breakingly great power is the very first thing of course, but afterwards travelling the world, building a harem and having plain fun is on the agenda. Note: No room to hide the fact that this is heavily inspired by the "Death March" web novel. I will give it my own touch by not having a Japanese-ish main character (Japan is cool and everything, but why have a harem if you never ever do something "H" with them?). Everything (characters, story, etc) is basically my creation, but I consider it a re-think of the original, so I can neither call it an "Original" nor a "Fan Fic". Don't expect it to be overly innovative. I will add an 18+ warning as soon as something like that happens, the first chapter just has a bit of undramatic blood. Comments welcome.
