Closed Beta That Only I Played Chapter 369

The main base of the Myongjin Guild in Rodon Castle.
[The Myongjin Guild Team 1 will be moved to the arena.]
Along with that message, I felt like I was being dragged somewhere. Soon a familiar sight came into my view.
It was the very arena that I frequently went in and out of during the 'Strongest Player Selection' event. Of course, there were many more people in the arena this time. But I didn't care about it at all because such a huge number of participants did not affect my chances of winning.
I told my team members, "Just step back and watch me."
Of course, they could join me in this fight, but I decided to fight alone because I didn't want to use this occasion to gain experience in working together with them
At that moment a message rang.
[You are given three minutes preparation time for the fight.
-You can use these three minutes to use and replace buffs and items.
-The guild that wins the fight automatically advances to the next round, and the guild that loses is eliminated from the event immediately.]
Actually, I expected such a message, but another message rang.
[You currently have All Buffs, All Debuffs.
- Mega Heal does not apply.]
When I obtained the trait, All Buffs, All Debuffs, everyone congratulated me.
Of course, my mother was also among those who congratulated me.
In fact, she was happier than me who obtained the trait.
But she said she was sorry because she could not heal me anymore.
In other words, it was my mother who used the Mega Heal a moment ago, even though she knew that her heals would not work for me any longer.
So I smiled at her gently instead of expressing my gratitude to her.
Even though she knew that I was probably, or obviously, the strongest player on Earth, she could not help but worry about me as my mother.

So, as soon as the barrier dividing the arena into two sides disappeared I charged at my opponents in order to show her how strong I was. Of course, the other party was prepared for my attack, for both sides could confirm their opponents as the barrier in the middle was translucent just like during the 'Strongest Player Selection' event.
But it seemed like the other party didn't know I was Juyoung Hong. And the fact that they didn't recognize me meant that they were very weak
"Kill that fearless bastard!"
"Fire Field!"
"Fire Field!"
"Trap the enemy! Fire Wall!"
"Slow! Slow!"
"Dancing Fireworks!"
Judging by their attack, however, it seemed that they were far from weak, for they obviously prepared a synergistic effect with one only element, namely, fire.
But their attack didn't have any effect.
Moreover, the fire-type attacks were no weakness of mine.
My strong weapon, Ice Emperor's guardian sword, had the following option.
[The sword contains the final determination of the Ice Emperor, which even the Sun God could not melt, so it provides a 20% damage reduction and superiority over all fire-type skills]
In other words, this was an option that would neutralize any fire-type attacks.
The 20% damage reduction was far from small, but it was what was provided by the +0 enhancement Ice Emperor's guardian sword. It was now a +7 Enhancement guardian sword.
Like the values of the other options increased, this option value also increased to as high as 35%.
In addition to that, my resistances were in the top 0.1% and my willpower was as high as 42,000.
"…"
In this situation, it would be very weird if I suffered any damage unless they had a similar magic attack power and intellect to me.
Unfortunately, they didn't..
In other words, it was false to say that I didn't suffer any damage at all, but my health decreased just a tiny bit.

Anyway, I responded strongly to their reckless attacks.
"Ice Field!"
Pasasasasak!
They tried to trap me using their skill Fire Field.
But my Ice Field not only wiped it out, but also turned the entire arena into ice, and a very thick ice at that. And even my opponents were not spared.
Only they did they begin to recognize who I was.
"Why is this Ice Field so vast?"
"Is he Asirante?"
"Man, he is Juyoung Hong!"
"Damn it! How unlucky can we be to have confronted Juyoung Hong in the first round!"
"My health has decreased so much because of this Ice Field!"
Clearly, the Ice Field skill was so common that any ice-series wizard had to learn it, but its effect varied depending on who used it. That's why they immediately found out who I was by judging the strength of Ice Field.
But it was already too late.
So I used one skill directly at them while they were desperately struggling in shock.
"Blizzard!"
Puck! Puck! Puck! Puck!
Blizzard had level 7 and level 9.
Perhaps they must have seen the power of level 7 Blizzard.
Even though they didn't recognize me at first, they were at least over level 1000.
Moreover, they could learn level 7 skills when they reached level 800.
However, my Blizzard was a whopping level 9 thanks to the functional skill ring.
What's more, my intellect was as high as 80,000.
"Argh...I'm bleeding…"
Flop.
"My health…"
Flop.
Healers, enchanters, and dealers with relatively low health collapsed without being able to resist at all. Of course, some dealers and tanks with high health attempted to attack me.
However, like my Ice Field, my Blizzard was not only stronger than that used by ordinary ice mages, but it also had a wider range of attack.
"Damn it! How unlucky we are…"
Flop.
Flop.
Flop.
Starting with those who blamed their bad luck, they began to fall one by one on the Ice Field due to my Blizzard. I didn't check the time exactly, but it took less than 5 seconds to wipe them all out.
At that moment, a message rang
[Myongjin Team 1 has won.
- You advance to the next round.]
Anyway, I passed the first round so easily, and I expected to do so in the 2nd and 3rd rounds as well.
Several days into the 'Strongest Guild Selection' event.
As expected, I kept winning in the successive rounds, and overwhelmingly at that.
Of course, my opponents strongly resisted.
"Damn it! If we can defeat Asirante, we have a chance to win. So, never give up!"
"Yes!"
"Understood! Permeate, Soul-eating Poison!"
"Blow, Biting Wind!"
"Thick Spear of Land!"
"Piercing Power Shot!"
Puck! Puck! Bang! Bang!
There were many people who gave up in the previous event to select the strongest player, which was the same format as this one
In particular, as the rounds moved on, only those who were relatively strong survived.
But this time, since they didn't fight alone but as a team of 30 people, there were no teams who easily gave up like they did in the previous event.
Of course, that didn't change the results because they couldn't inflict any damage on me despite using all kinds of attacks.
On the contrary, I counter attacked them relentlessly.
"Ice Field! Multiple Thin Ice!"
Pasasasasak!
"Dodge it!"
"Our opponent is Asirante! Do not underestimate his Ice Field!"

A Virtual Invasion
An invasion from another dimension is shut down by an Empire's traitor and the world has a scant few decades to build the strength to resist a multidimensional Empire. How will the world fair when no one even knows its doom is one barred gate away? Fortunately, the traitor has a plan. Maybe with a bit of luck and planning, he can build a force to defend the world without anyone realizing it. Author's Thoughts: What is litRPG (From wikipedia) - LitRPG, short for Literary Role Playing Game, is a literary genre combining the conventions of MMORPGs with science-fiction fantasy novels.[1] LitRPG is a literary genre where games or game-like challenges form an essential part of the story. A LitRPG work simultaneously narrates the story of characters inside and outside of the game-world. At least some of the characters in a LitRPG novel therefore understand that they are playing a game: they are 'meta-aware'. So, while Tolkien's Lord of the Rings is a fantasy novel, a book about people creating avatars and interacting in a Lord of the Rings MMORPG would be a LitRPG novel. Why do I read them? You know, I am not too sure. I love MMOs. I played them, quit them, joined up and repeated the cycle. They are fun! They are a massive waste of time but so are most games. Do I want to read about someone else playing them? Sort of?The advent of VR and the possibility of VR someday becoming so immersive that you can't tell them from reality sets the imagination on fire. What if this could be life? But most stories fall short. At the end of the day the protagonist hangs up his VR helmet and goes to have dinner with his mom and dad or other family and it becomes meaningless. It's like the story that ends because the main character woke up and nothing you read matters. There have been some books that explore the concept of the intersection of reality and total immersion VR. Enders Game is a classic. There were a few others that escape me but they exist, however, the cross between the game and reality is weak.So what if the game was real? The technology needed for total immersion VR is so advanced that by the time we reach that goal technology should have naturally evolved to include several items. You must have direct neural input. You simply can't have a total immersion (all senses and perfect presence) experience without this basic prerequisite. If you have direct neural access, you can probably do neat things like feed knowledge and skills directly to that person. You can undoubtedly do many horrible things as well. Muscles are controlled by the brain. If you control the brain why would you let the body just sit there and rot? A person that sits unmoving for 24 hours a day will have their body whither away just like a coma patient. However, if you control the brain you could control the muscles. On a basic level, this would be isometric impulses, working muscle group against muscle group to avoid atrophy. Taken to its logical conclusion you would be able to gain muscle mass and program muscle memory. The flip side is that you could remote control their body... but let's not go there. So what would people do if it were real? Well, they would probably limit and regulate it since the drawbacks are very obvious. Even if you look at the basic aspects of this you can see some negative possibilities. Look at the Sword Art Online anime. Personally, I think they missed the boat by putting a bomb in the VR helmet. Do you really need a bomb when you have direct access to the brain? So what kind of events would you need to have a situation where the obvious drawbacks haven't been explored? Maybe a society where the advancement of technology has so far outstripped the explorations of its applications that ignorance was truly bliss? Okay, so I had to put in an alien invasion to kickstart the premise, but that was just one of the possibilities.
