Into The Zombie World Chapter 5

After sorting out the incidents that had occurred in the previous month in his mind, Nile was now able to perceive what was going on around the world. Nile felt terrified as he didn't know how he would survive this apocalypse.
Zombies were way stronger than humans; this meant a higher chance of him being turned into a zombie after getting bitten by one, or he might not even have a chance to become a zombie if he got killed instantly.
'The danger level of this world is so high'. Nile could only sigh at the thought of going outside.
Although the zombies that us outside right now were the most basic ones, one bite from them and Nile knew he would be done for. He will either become a zombie or become their foody.
'Damn it! Where's my golden finger when I need one? At least, give me some advantage for being a transmigrator,' Nile could only grumble silently towards the one who sent him here.
'But this is better than dying though. Enough of this, I need to think of a solution.'
Nile went towards the grocery's door. He saw the six zombies outside walking limpy without direction yet again.
'Phew. I'm lucky that these zombies are the most basic ones.'
Now that he thought of it, it was absurd that he actually thought of going outside; it was already stated on the news that these zombies would immediately attack any living being they saw or heard. Luckily, it seemed the news wasn't accurate enough, considering that he succeeded doing that risky move from before.
After the encounter outside, Nile was sure that these most basic zombies would only react to noises but couldn't see anything.
The news did not mention something about zombies not being able to see anything though. It was only stated that they attacked any living they encountered. However, Nile could not blame them, that was the news that the previous 'Nile' saw on the broadcast which was merely days after the apocalypse had started after all.

After observing the zombies outside, Nile got a preliminary idea on what he had to do.
First and foremost, it was to survive. And to do so, what Nile needed was food which he already had.
Secondly, he needed weapons, especially guns. Even if some of the zombies were immune to bullets, he could still use a gun to protect himself from the basic ones. With guns, he could also maintain a safe distance from the zombies, providing him with a lower chance of getting bitten and infected. Even though it will create noises, it was way better than being on a melee in which he only knew the very basics of the basic moves. And fighting melee has a higher risk of getting bitten by the zombies.
Thirdly, he had to find a stable food source, kinds of food that would not get spoiled immediately.
Nile went back to the counter. Along the way, he picked up the kitchen knife that he dropped earlier while pulling the packet noodles that were under the stand.
Nile sat at the chair and pondered for a moment. After a while, he now had an idea of where he needed to go.
The leftover food that he acquired could last him for a few days, so he wouldn't need to worry about that for now. Besides, there was no longer any place left in here that could provide him with food.
The houses were a good option, but Nile wanted to leave this place immediately. He had already considered this before. He also doubted if there was still any food left in any of the houses here anyways.
The survivors must have already brought their own food along with them when they escaped from their homes. That also was the reason he went to the store directly. He had originally thought that the survivors would not go there, considering the chaos during that time. The one who pillaged the store must have been those people who had not stocked their food before the apocalypse or those greedy ones who always wanted more.

After mulling things over, Nile concluded that what he needed right now was a weapon, especially a gun. And to get hold of one, Nile needed to go to the police station in Town. But the problem is, the Town was far away, and he wasn't even sure if there were still guns left in that place.
Nile was now at the hamlet of Palma. The hamlet of Palma is a subsidiary Hamlet of the village of Malibo. The village of Malibo was just one of the many villages under the town of Daan.
The village of Malibo had a Village Hall at its center. Nile would be able to arrive at the Village Hall of Malibo from the Hamlet of Palma with mere 20 minutes of walking.
The Village Hall was situated in the Village Centre. A Village Centre was anywhere in the Village that has the densest population.
Nile was not sure if there were any other survivors left at the center point of the Village. But Nile thought that it must be the case. A village only had few people acting as volunteer police.
The people would not feel safe with only that few and hence will move to more prominent places such as the Town where Police forces are more apparent and numbers can count up to hundreds.
But moving into a Town would also mean higher risks of turning into zombies. Due to the Town Centre's denser population in comparison to a Village Centre, it meant that there were even more infected people in that area.
That was also the main reason Nile was hesitating on whether he should go to the Village Hall. The Village Hall was in the Village Centre. Meaning, the population there was denser compared to where he was right now.
Maybe at the area around the Village Hall, there would be more, perhaps tens, or even hundreds of infected that were wandering around. There was also a higher risk of meeting bulletproof zombies there.
'Hmm, maybe I can try going to the Councillor's house?' Nile suddenly got an idea.
A Village was led by a Village Chief or a Chairman, seven Village Councillor, and the Chairman of the Youth Council. Nile guessed that all of those officials would have guns in their house for self-protection.
According to the former Nile's memory, there was also a house in the perimeter of the Hamlet of Palma, which belonged to one of the seven councillors. That house, however, was close to the Village Centre.
To go there, Nile needed to walk generally for about ten minutes.
Nile was confident that there would be a gun hiding in that councilor's house. Before the apocalypse happened, all the government officials were summoned to the Town for a meeting.
Hence, Nile made the assumption that the councillor would have kept a gun for himself for self-protection, but due to the strict law, the Councillor wouldn't dare to bring it to Town and hence, will leave it in his house.
