Into The Zombie World Chapter 39

(A/N: From this chapter onwards I will change the body and speed into constitution. Thank you for understanding.)
Aside from having a 15.0 constitution, the zombie's prerequisite for becoming a Level Two° is for their intelligence to develop.
A Level Zero° zombie's acts on the instinct that is given to them by the Apocalypse Virus. A Level One° zombie has the intelligence of an animal. Brute and Savage.
But there is an exemption, that is when a Level One° zombie consumes the brain of the people they killed. Supposedly, the Level One° zombie's will only start consuming the people's brain when they are already near the threshold of 15.0, a Level One° zombie should only focus on strengthening their constitution in 'preparation' for their advancement towards Level Three°.
As a Level One° zombie consumes people's brain, their intelligence will become higher.
There will be a point in time that after their intelligence is enhanced, the Apocalypse Virus residing inside the 'Will' will recall broken memories from the body's previous owner.
The Level One° zombie's must overcome this confusion to develop into the much more intelligent Level Two° zombie.
The gay zombie from the Market and the little boy on Nile's arm are this so-called exemption.
The gay zombie recalls its habit of flirting, while the little boy zombie recalls its love for playing the arcade ride.
As they have recalled the memories prematurely, the Apocalypse Virus inside the 'Will' will enter in a state of confusion. But still, Level One° zombies are still mindless zombies. They are savage and will attack like a beast.
...
After five minutes, Nile stood up while still carrying the boy. He stored the 'Katana of Liberation' inside his Storage Space.
Nile received another increment of 0.5 for his Constitution, Will and Energy. He also received another 5.0 Apocalypse Points.
This was the first time Nile did not feel happy after obtaining an increment for his constitution and Apocalypse Points.
Instead, what he felt was the feeling of pity and rage.
Pity because even an innocent little boy who only liked to play had become a zombie because of the foolishness of this world's President. What about the infants?
Rage still because of the foolishness and carelessness of this world's President.

Nile accepts the fact that he is not some saint and not even a philanthropist.
But he vowed inside his heart.
After this, he would no longer kill the zombie's because of the increment of his Constitution and Apocalypse Point.
I mean, he will no longer kill the zombies 'just' because of the two reasons above.
He added another goal. That is to liberate the people who have become some mindless zombies.
Caesar, the President of the Pangea Continent? Nile thought if all of this is really intentional, Nile will surely give that man a 'simple' beating.
But first, he must become stronger and 'liberate' some zombie's while he is at it.
...
Nile came out of the Department Store and headed towards the enormous Acacia Tree in the distance.
At the base of the Tree. Nile digs a meter deep rectangular hole, enough to fit the little boy's body inside.
He placed the boy's body inside the hole and covered it again with the soil that he dug out earlier.
After burying the little boy's body, using the Katana of Liberation, Nile wrote something on the Acacia Tree.
"Buried here is the body of the little boy who played the arcade ride."
...
Nile returned to the Department Store. This time, he went directly up towards the 2nd floor.
He does not know if the entire department store had already been cleaned up by the little boy zombie, but he still came back to make sure.
At the second floor of the Department Store is where the home appliances, gadgets, sofa's, beds are displayed. Just like the previous floors, the 2nd floor is also in a mess. The bed's and the sofas are covered with dead bodies.
Some dead bodies even have cooking pots on their heads. There was a dead zombie body stuck on the washing machine. A body that looks like it is sleeping soundly on the bed, but if you come closer, you will notice the blood on the other side.
After searching the entire second floor, Nile killed two Half-Step Level One° zombies and One, Level One° zombie that had both of its legs twisted in a strange angle, disabling its ability to walk.
Host: Nile
Level One°
Will: 7.36

Constitution: 6.86
Energy: 6.86(6.29)
Weapon:
Level One° Sledge Hammer
Level One° Katana of Liberation
Talent:
Level One° Weapons Master
A.P.: 44.0
L.P.(Level Points): 0
Nile could have used the sledgehammer when he fought the little boy zombie. But Nile did not want to disfigure or damage the boy's figure any further. Hence, he decided to sacrifice some Apocalypse Point and bought the powerful Katana in order to kill the little boy zombie instantly.
After buying the Katana, Nile's Apocalypse Point returned to 38.0. After killing the two Half-Step Level One° zombies, and the Level One° crippled zombie, the 38.0 rose into 44.0 Apocalypse Point.
Nile gritted his teeth and decided to be thrifty from now on. The case of the little boy zombie is an exemption as he felt sorrow seeing the little zombie boy's exaggerated smile.
Nile did not carry and bury the zombies that he had killed from the 2nd floor. As stated previously, the little boy's case is an exemption. He could not just bury every 'body' of the zombies he had killed. Right? That would be a waste of his time.
The third floor of the Department Store is the floor which displayed the big Appliances that could no longer be fitted on the 2nd floor.
After searching the entire floor, Nile did not find any zombie's that he could kill. Only the body of some low-levelled zombie's that had their head split open with force could be seen lying around.
...
After Goryo woke up from his little slumber, Ombit hurriedly recounted to him what had happened.
Goryo is supposed to be a little timid, he will withdraw and plan first.
Ombit, ask his brother Goryo why he also acted rashly.
Goryo answered that he had been quite affected and is feeling down because of the words from the people they have 'adopted'. And after seeing Ombit lying on the floor, Goryo acted on impulse and attacked the attacker of his brother.
He just did not expect the outcome, though.
After a brief talk, they emerged from the room and called Polonyo over with the four people that had been holding the shotgun.
As Ombit, Goryo had already become Level One, they felt that their body had become quite strong. They are confident that they could at least kill zombies with their own hands.
Ombit and the other six are now in the meeting room. The room is already clean as they had carried the dead bodies in the meeting room before and dumped them at the compost pit at the back of the Village Hall.
"As you can see, we are already running out of food. We have been cleaning the surroundings of the Kanor Department Store this week. The only problem left is for us to kill the remaining zombie's that are wandering around the area." Said Ombit while tapping the table. He did not mention his defeat yesterday, it's embarrassing.
Actually, Ombit, Goryo and Polonyo already knew the state of their food provisions even before the people they 'adopted' pointed it out.
They had already killed all the zombie's surrounding the Village Hall and used the Apocalypse Virus inside them to become a Level One°. In order to successfully become a Level One°, Goryo and Ombit had used quite a lot of the Apocalypse Virus and even resorted to meditating day and night.
After becoming Level One° they noticed that the Apocalypse Virus they had kept can no longer strengthen them just like before.
They gave the remaining Apocalypse Virus for Polonyo to absorb.
For a week now, the seven of them had frequented the Kanor Department Store and killed the zombies in its perimeter.
Ombit and Goryo are the main attackers and the remaining five will only act if there is an emergency.
With Goryo's persuasion, they are very careful with their hunt, to avoid the attention of other zombie's. After killing several zombies, they will drag the zombie's body far from the battle site before harvesting the Apocalypse Virus inside.
As the shotguns they got only have a limited ammunition, they will only use it if they are besieged by three zombie's or more.
The zombie's around the department store are different from the zombie's they had killed two months ago. The department store's zombies are faster and know how to attack using their limbs.

Sector 27
It wasn't until June 3, 2101 that World War 4 ended. This was not a war that ended in peace treaties or truces; this war ended with disease. The atomic war caused plague and disease that crippled major countries. The generals and great leaders of the countries at war died from the radiation that penetrated every part of the globe. It was only then that humanity realized what they had done- what they had created. The first ever mutant was publicly executed the very day the war ended, and a new war began: the war against mutants. The surviving nation of Japan quickly rebuilt their country by dividing it into safe zones, or Sectors. There are currently 26 livable sectors in Japan; Sector 1 is the richest sector and the only sector that has completely rid itself of all radiation left over from the war. In fear against the threat of mutants, the once small section of the police force grew until it became the main police force in Japan. After all, humans shouldn't be blamed for crimes when the real threat to society is mutants. This police force that goes by their motto: Special Treatment Against Mutants (STAM) is comprised of agents that go about their work to capture and detain all mutants. Sector 26 is the poorest sector that humans can barely survive in; but there is one more part of Japan. This "dead zone" has such a high concentration of radiation that if a human were to step inside the barrier, they would die in mere moments. But within this dead zone, this 27th Sector, there lies a secret organization of mutants that fight against STAM and protect all mutants from their grasp. The Mutant Recovery and Protection Agency (MRPA) operates to hide mutants in society and allow them to live human lives. The only thing that stands in MRPA's way is STAM and its agents who hunt them down ruthlessly, so MRPA has their own set of skilled agents. And the battle rages on...

Rooms of the Desolate
Rooms of the Desolate is a collection of short stories designed to guide the reader through the many rooms and mysteries of the bleak and greyscale labyrinth of the Desolate. The first entry, "The Forever Tower" follows an unnamed wanderer climbing an endless, colourless tower; the only world they have ever known. As they slowly ascend alongside the masses, they consider the nature of their world and look to the corridors as temptation beckons. The second entry, "Production Line", follows an engineer in a boundless factory, who encounters a product that does not wish to bow to the overseers and makes them question their belief in the truth and duties they were made to believe. Content guidelines: Current entries do not include explicit profanity, but future entries may do so, hence the presence of that tag. Some entries do include gore and violence, though not currently to particularly extreme degrees. The Desolate is exactly that: a desolate world; as such, it is bleak, downtrodden, and may deal with mental struggles. Cover art credit: Adam Borkowski on Pexels.
