Into The Zombie World Chapter 43

The Four idiotic horsemen are known as Lito, Simon, Pakito, Miyo.
All of them are of the same age.
According to Ombit, these four were members of his little group before he came back to become a driver for his brother.
This four followed him all the way here from the City. When the Apocalypse started, they came to the Barangay Hall knowing that Ombit and his brother were there.
The four idiotic horsemen came back, each of them is holding a radio device.
Lito has a shaved head and a goatee. On his shoulder was a rectangular box. The box was not a radio device but it was a speaker.
Simon was the tallest of all the four horsemen. He has a big build; he has hair that had grown from a flat-top haircut. In his hand was an amplifier.
Pakito is a chubby man, he has long hair that is tied in a ponytail. His beer belly is outlined because of the tight cloth that he wears. He is also carrying a speaker in his hand.
Miyo also has a bulky build in contrast with his small height. With his tanned skin, he looks more like a dwarf that is blacksmithing all day long. He is carrying a small black box. It was a Pbox Ten. It was a game console.
Nile burst into laughter upon seeing the scene. The trio could only shake their heads.
Upon inspecting, Ombit noticed that the speaker Pakito brought was a multipurpose one. It has a radio function with it. Unfortunately, it is electrically powered.
Miyo did bring a cell battery, but where should they put it? On the Pbox Ten?
Nile inches closer and takes the battery from Miyo. He tears the package apart. On the surface of the battery is salt like white powders. Nile doubts if this would still work.
He told the group about the battery and Ombit said that they should try first.
Polonyo and Goryo left to search for a radio device upstairs.
After the cleaning of the Barangay Hall, the Councilor and the Village Captain are already a little submissive towards Ombit. Even though they are much older, they still respect Ombit because he is reliable.

After a while, Polonyo and Goryo came back. Goryo is holding the small radio device, while Polonyo is holding four packages of cell batteries in different sizes.
Opening the packages, the battery is also covered with salt-like white powder on the surface. Nevertheless, they still tried to put the medium size cell battery on the back side of the radio.
Ombit flicks the On/Off button. The radio produces a 'shshkksksks' sound. Ombit and the other's felt happy because of that. But, not a moment later, when they were about to tune the frequency, the gibberish sound of the radio suddenly stopped.
Their enthusiasm died down, but Ombit still did not give up. He and the others went to the upper floor and searched for medium size batteries that they could use.
Nile is left behind. As he had nothing to do, he squatted down and retrieved the katana from the storage space. He tied it on his back. With that, he now really looks like a ninja.
Seeing the Katana of Liberation, Nile could not help but remember the little kid zombie.
Thinking of it, he realizes how cruel this kind of Apocalypse is.
If a person's 'Will' could not withstand the intrusion of the Apocalypse Virus, it is guaranteed that they will become a mindless zombie. The weaker the 'Will' of the person, the more likely the intrusion will end up successfully.
A person's 'Will' will grow and wane along with the Body. It means that, Kids who are still growing, and elderly whose bodies are already waning have the highest chance of becoming a zombie.
Those kids and elderly who survived are those who have exceptional 'Will' even with their age.
It was said that women also have a weaker 'Will' compared to men's.
But Nile did not immediately agree with this.
Mother's in particular, clearly have a stronger 'Will'. Imagine the pain they experience when giving birth to a life? That alone deserves a commendation.
With his brief interactions with the other human survivors, he did notice that the number of women were fewer.
After a while of thinking, Nile heard some footsteps coming from the upper floor. Ombit and the others came back.

They brought the radio device along with them earlier.
As they came closer to Nile, he noticed that all of them had a dejected expression. Their shoulders are dropped down.
Apparently, they failed to find a battery that could support the radio for more than a few seconds.
Nile told them it was okay, as he could still tell them. Ombit's sad mood switches instantly into a happy one.
Quickly, he bowed down a little and expressed his gratitude to Nile.
After a while, he remembered something and bowed again. This time it was to apologize for his rudeness from before. He did not explain the reason why he acted that way and only apologized.
Nile smiled and said. "It doesn't matter anymore. I already got my little revenge anyway, hehe."
Ombit and Goryo smiled reluctantly while they shook their heads.
That was more than a little, alright.
Nile then briefed them on what the radio broadcasters had said.
Ombit nodded his head and expressed his thanks again. He said that they are using the same method, but it was just that the strength they could gain was so miniscule that it was barely noticeable.
Nile pondered a little and told Ombit and the others something.
He said that if they killed and collected an Apocalypse Virus of a Level One° zombie, the strength increase after absorbing is not that huge but still visible.
Ombit thanked Nile again and again. After a while he invited Nile to eat lunch with them in the Barangay Hall.
Nile wanted to go at first, but after remembering that granny from before, he could not help but shiver a little. Nevertheless, because of the persuasion from Ombit and the others, he decided to come along and leave after breakfast.
When they came outside the Kanor Department Store, everyone could not help but instinctively cover their eyes because of the piercing light from the sun.
The sun hangs high above them, flexing its hot rays on their skin.
The squad sauntered on the concrete road. The sound of the trolleys being pushed or dragged is clear to the ears.
The silent voyage only lasted for a few minutes before Simon could no longer hold it as mother nature was calling him to water some soil.
Lito widened his eyes as he stared at Simon.
"Wh..what?" Simon touched his face and felt assured that there was nothing in there.
"I think I have encountered this scenario before." Lito said.
"What scenario?" Simon asks.
Nile perked his ears and listened intently on what amusing things could this scene lead into.
"This one, I only remember a little and is not clear. But according to my intuition, after a person asks his companions to pee, he will see a ghost and get scared to death." Lito said seriously.
Nile thinks that Lito must be referring to a 'deja vu' feeling.
According to his description, something bad will happen to the one who is peeing.
Simon got scared because of that. He glanced at Pakito with puppy eyes.
"Please accompany me." Simon said.
Pakito also got scared a little, so he defended himself. "What why me? I don't want to."
Simon said, "Please, it's already leaking a little."
As Ombit could no longer stand it, he asked the remaining three horsemen to accompany their fourth.
They agreed reluctantly.
Nile thought that because Pakito needed someone to accompany him, Pakito might want to relieve himself far from them.
But seeing Pakito peeing on the wall of a house, 5 meters away from them, while glancing to the back from time to time.
Nile could not help but break into a fit of laughter.
What the actual f*ck! With your body alone, the ghost would probably be scared to scare you. You even have three people accompanying you, and you still only had that little courage?

Cutting to Life: an NPC LitRPG (Battle Royale)
Nikola is an NPC in The World of Wills, a video game where players can feel sensations as if they were truly there. She leads a life of bloodshed and murder - that is, until one day she wakes up sapient. Just as she begins thinking real, non-scripted thoughts and making connections, she and the players in the game are told that if they die in the game, they die in real life - and it's time to get killing. But what of Nikola, the emerging AI consciousness? How does she win in a game that can only end in her being wiped from existence at the end of it all? - Updates Mondays and Fridays. Cutting to Life is a slow-burn LitRPG with a villainous (later anti-hero, or maybe still villainous, haha) female lead. It's told from the perspective of Nikola, an NPC within the World of Wills who's become sapient and is now mysteriously able to play the game as a PC. It's quite light for a LitRPG, but the system and stats become more of a focus later when Nikola herself can access them. The story gradually builds into a Battle Royale where the players' lives are on the line (if you die in the game, you die in real life), and only one party of savvy adventurers can win. They'll have to spend their time and stats wisely as dungeons promising rare gear float down from the sky - but is a legendary sword worth killing someone for, knowing they'll stay dead forever? - This story is told in third person, past tense.- This is a slow-burn LitRPG that spends a lot of time establishing its setting and characters, because I believe this will make for a better payoff in the end. As such, the Battle Royale doesn't start until chapter 30 or so.- Chapters are anywhere between 800 words and 3000 words long.- Book cover by Vixeona.Cutting to Life is also being posted on SPB and Scribble Hub.Thank you sincerely for reading.
