Into The Zombie World Chapter 47

Sissa's breathing stops because of that.
When the zombie's head and Sissa's body are only an inch wide apart, the zombie suddenly stops.
Sissa hop backwards immediately, not wasting the opportunity. As she retreats, she realizes that Nile was already at the back of the zombie, holding the zombie's collar tightly.
"Careful! Again!" Nile said as he flung the zombie away from Sissa.
The zombie got up and pounced on Sissa again.
At this point, Sissa realizes that she could not use the move she usually saw on T.V. effectively, she also realizes that she doesn't have the strength to pull off that move perfectly.
So, instead of worrying about the fancy move that required strength, she switches into this rabbit-style?
Sissa is holding the light-weight bolo on her right hand, she is hopping around like a boxer dancing on the ring.
When the zombie is close enough, Sissa side-step easily to the side evading the pounce, while doing so, she leave's another wound on the zombie's head.
Sissa continued with this tactic until the zombie's head was already full of open wounds, with the last strike delivered by Sissa, the zombie fell to ground with a bang.
Sissa is breathing heavily. The hit-and-run tactic really puts a toll on her stamina.
Nile will even chime in if Sissa is in a dangerous situation.
Nile retrieves a bottle of water in his storage space secretly. He gave the bottle of water to Sissa and said while giving a thumbs up, "Good job, sister."
Sissa took the water and smiled as she nodded her head. She did not know where the water came from, but it was free anyway. She is breathing haggardly while sitting on the ground.
After resting for a bit, she lets out a heavy 'phew'. Her fatigue seems to have gone away because of that. She then drinks the water like a sponge.

"Thanks!" Sissa said.
Nile smiled as he said, "Sister, after you rest, collect the Apocalypse Virus inside the zombie's head."
Sissa's expression became reluctant because of that. There is also a hint of disgust and nervousness in it.
"Oh, use the empty bottle of water to store the Apocalypse Virus." Nile continued.
Sissa nodded her head.
After a few minutes of rest, Sissa got up and moved closer to the zombie's head.
She then pried open the zombie's head using the bolo reluctantly. One could see that her pinky finger is raised while she is doing the work.
After a while, Sissa noticed the greenish substance on the brain and became excited. Using her hand as a cup, she scoops the Apocalypse Virus and stores it inside the empty water bottle. She felt a cold sensation when the greenish substance touched her palm.
Nile already explained to her what this substance could do, Sissa could not help but feel excited. With this substance, she will be stepping into the world of evolution.
On the murky path of revenge, Sissa seems to have noticed a faint light.
...
"You could absorb that at night, no hurry." Nile said after seeing Sissa's expression of delight.
Sissa understood what he meant and nodded her head.
Nile offered a hand for Sissa to stand up as he said, "Let's continue!"
Sissa smiled and grabbed the hand.
"Where to?" Sissa asked.
Nile put his hand on his chin and pondered a bit. He then said, "We will search around this area for now and move to another location if we can't find any."
"Okayy." Sissa said.
After ten minutes of searching, they finally found their second target.
It was a female zombie, it's hand was tied into a metal pole. The female zombie is only a Half-Step Level One°, if it successfully evolves into Level One° this pole will not be able to hold it. But that is unlikely to happen.

As it was tied and had only recently stepped into a Half-Step Level One° zombie, Sissa killed her easily. She then pried the head open and successfully retrieved the dead Apocalypse Virus inside the zombie's head.
There was a trace of pity in Sissa's eyes when she killed the female zombie. But when she is collecting the Apocalypse Virus, Nile could only see excitement and ecstasy in her eyes.
Oddly enough, Nile seems to find that kind of reaction a little familiar?
After Sissa successfully collected the dead Apocalypse Virus, they continued the search.
They found another Half-Step Level One° after a few minutes; it was a male zombie.
It was topless and was only wearing basketball shorts. It is as tall as Nile. The zombie is well built, and had a crew cut hair.
By cutting both of the zombie's ligaments on the knee, Sissa made the zombie kneel in front of her. She then delivered the final blow, successfully embedding the bolo into the zombie's head.
Just like opening a coconut, Sissa pried the zombie's head open and collected the dead Apocalypse Virus inside. As usual, Sissa's ecstatic expression appeared again.
They then search again and decide to move to another location after not finding any zombies for a while.
Three hours later, Nile and Sissa arrived at the Barangay Chapel, which was located South from the Village Hall.
Along the way, Sissa killed five Half-Step Level One° zombies and successfully collected their Apocalypse Virus. The empty bottle of water is now half-full of the greenish Apocalypse Virus.
As Sissa is already tired, Nile decided to call it a day and rest here. They will then go back into the Barangay Hall after resting for a bit. It was Sissa's request to go back. She said that she needs to bid the Councilor and the Barangay Captain a farewell. She felt grateful to the group for adopting her when she is totally down.
The chapel is big, this size could accommodate up to five hundred people.
Nile pushes through the enormous metal door of the chapel. The action caused the metal door to produce a creaking sound.
Seeing the bodies lying on the chairs inside the chapel, Nile became alert. He drew the Katana from his back. Level One° zombies liked to ambush their prey.
Seeing Nile become alert, Sissa also grips her bolo tightly and puts her vigilance state to the max level.
Pungent smell assaulted Sissa's nose when they came inside the chapel. There are bodies lying around everywhere, may it a body of a kid or a body of an elder, you could see it all.
Fortunately, Sissa is already a little accustomed to this kind of sight. If not, she will surely vomit her guts out this time around.
"Should we go back?" Sissa said with a tinge of nervousness in her voice.
She could feel the gloom and danger in this area. This place is not suitable for resting anyway, so they might as well go back and search for another location.
"No, this is your chance to witness a real level one zombie. Remember, based on my experience, level one zombies are like wild animals, they like ambushing their prey." Nile said seriously.
Of course, without any suspense, from one of the chairs, a body suddenly sprung up and threw itself towards Nile.

Horizon
Emiluna is about to turn 16 and gain access to her first two classes. Living in a small village in the middle of nowhere, she always wanted to become a Hunter. Having learned a bit under her parents, a miller and a seamstress, she was sure she could never pick a class that meant staying inside all day. But being a Hunter is more than just a class. It means providing meat for the village, culling small pests near the cultivated fields and most importantly guarding the village from predators and monsters. But Emiluna is not a normal girl and her destiny far bigger than she could have ever imagined.Join her as she finds out what awaits just behind the horizon.[Word from the author]I am looking to create a fantasy world that has some logic to it and stays believable even as characters gain power and progress in levels.Classes and level quantify the people's progress, but they do not artificially inflate their power to demi-god levels. I am primarily trying to write a captivating story, not "power-porn". That means it will be slower than the fast burning litRPG you might be used to, but it won't burn out that quickly either and I won't drop half of my plots at the wayside. I should mention that English is not my native language. I hope it is mostly unnoticeable, but sometimes I manage to slip some awkard sentence structure in there (German sometimes puts things together in reverse). It it also my first time writing an actual fantasy novel and the first time writing anything at length in English. Any constructive feedback is very welcome.Credit where credit is due: Cover picture by Paul Bica (Licensed under CC 2.0)Check out his amazing photos here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/dexxusYes, my cover picture is a photo, not a drawing. :D I might try my hand at some Paint-ification later to add the title.[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
