Into The Zombie World Chapter 66

Nile was standing at the top of the coconut tree, steady as a mountain while he traced the line produced by the exploding bullet. The exploding bullet flew and spun in the air, aiming towards the zombie pet horde two-three miles away from his location.
The Sniping Slingshot is a Level One° weapon that is capable of killing enemies in the extreme distance. The Level One° Sniping Slingshot will multiply the amount of strength the user used while pulling the rubbers away from the frame, stretching it.
Three miles away from Nile, the scene of animals being chased by other animals is apparent. The chased animals are fleeing in hysteria without direction. Behind them are the even more ferocious animals in various sizes, the chasing animals that can be identified easily from the rest.
Different kinds of species, but one thing is common on the chaser animals. All of them had greenish eyes, rotting wounds are always present all over their body no matter what the sizes are. They are the zombie pets or animals chasing their prey's infecting.
The zombie pet's way of getting stronger is pretty much the same as the human zombies. Consume other Apocalypse Virus to strengthen the concentration of your own.
And just like the zombie humans, they will instantly switch targets to living things if they ever see one.
Even when they were fighting, if they saw a human or any living things approaching them, they would not hesitate to stop their bout and switch their target to the living being.
It was as if the zombies had a kind of grudge towards any living things.
Different from the human zombies, the pet zombies number was not getting any thinner. They were even multiplying at an extremely fast rate.
So, although there are Level One° zombie pets around, Level Zero and Half-Step Level One° are the ones who dominated the population the most.
The zombie pets were chasing the mutated animals wherever they went. A particular bloody-orange zombie cat stood atop a running zombie dog. Both of their eyes had a trace, if not a full-green eye. Verifying the fact they are indeed zombie pets. They are chasing a rabbit as big as an adult dog.
Suddenly, both the cat and dog stopped in their tracks as they heard the sound of a whistle in the surroundings. They stood there silently as they tried to pinpoint the location of the sound.

As more and more zombie pets notice the sound of a whistle, the decibels of the sound is also increasing.
The zombie cat is curiously looking around when a ball the size of a coin suddenly appeared in front of its eyes. The zombie cat as if frightened instantly arched its back while its fur stood throughout the end. It does not have the luxury of time to dodge as the coin size ball has already pierced in between its eyes. Killing the Apocalypse Virus inside it.
The coin size ball did not stop there as it had already pierced through the zombie cat's skull and had already embedded itself in the base of the zombie dog's tail.
It did not stop there.
As the momentum of the coin size ball stopped, a click sound could be heard, followed by a small vacuum of space. The surrounding area blacked out as it was engulfed in this small-scale explosion. The zombie pets are turned into charcoal in an instant. Those at the periphery got knocked off their feet with their bodies in pieces.
Nile saw all of that and became excited. Although Nile is very far away from the site, with the help of his enhanced vision, seeing a somewhat blurry scene two to three miles away is not a problem.
When the Exploding Bullet arrived at the location of the zombie pets horde, a small cloud of mushroom rose in the air along with the sound of the explosion.
Nile saw the area, as well as the zombie pets around it getting engulfed by the flame because of the explosion.
Although the location it exploded is different from what Nile had in mind, his aim stirred because of his only slightly average marksmanship.
The Weapon's Master talent allows Nile to wield any weapon he wants. But the drawback to this is that it is not a weapon specific type of talent.
For example, if Nile had the weapon-specific talent or a talent that is not overly broad, just like the Level One° Marksman Talent; hitting a small object two miles away will be an easy task no matter what weapon he uses as long as it can reach its destination.
Jack of all trades, master to none. This quote is the best way to describe Nile right now.
But despite his aim differing from the original, it still serves its original purpose. To kill zombie's as much as possible without wasting the expensive exploding bullet.

System prompts keep on echoing inside Nile's head. More than a dozen zombies are killed by that explosion. Level One° zombie pets and below did not have the chance to escape as they were scorched almost instantly.
With that explosion alone, Nile had already earned 34 Apocalypse Points. The investment he made from the exploding bullet had already been recovered, and its profit is even more astounding.
There are still five bullets left inside the box, but Nile had already earned 24 Apocalypse points as a profit.
What's more, is that Nile also received an increase of 0.10 attribute points by killing two Level One° zombies in that explosion.
The sound of the explosion has attracted the other zombie pets. They gathered towards the site as they stared curiously at the burnt surroundings.
Nile anticipated that this situation would most likely happen. After checking the awards he received from that one exploding bullet, he loaded another one in the leather projectile pocket of the slingshot.
He pulled the rubber and stretched it to the back until the rubber arrived at its limit.
Nile found the current situation pleasing. The first bullet alone manages to kill two Level One° zombie pets and twelve Half-Step Level One° zombie pets.
How much more if Nile fired the remaining five bullets?
Nile's heart is thumping very hard, due to excitement and happiness. Fortunately, it did not affect his slightly average aim.
The zombie pets had crammed the area of explosion again. If Nile manages to hit the centre of this zombie pet horde, with the exploding bullet, his number of Apocalypse Points will no longer be in drought, and instead, it will experience an abundance of points for the first time.
Nile could not wait any longer. He let go of the projectile pocket and the Sniping Slingshot did its work as it threw the exploding bullet away at an extremely fast speed, just like the previous bullet.
The area was hit again and is engulfed by the explosion. A cloud of mushroom rose in the air. The zombie pets are engulfed in the explosion. Try as they might, the zombie pet's could still not put up any struggle versus the terrifying exploding bullet.
Unlike before, Nile did not stop and instead smoothly took another bullet from the box and loaded it in the Sniping Slingshot in perfect transition. Nile took an aim as he stretched the rubber further away from the frame until it reached the limit of its elasticity.
Nile lets go of the projectile pocket and lets the third exploding bullet fly towards the next location that had a dense number of zombie pets in it.
Nile is addicted to this killing spree, or rather, a massacre.
Some of the mutated animals had already closed their distance towards Nile's location. They are now only one or two miles away.
The zombie's side will be interrupted every time they hear another set of explosions. The distance between the zombie pets and the mutated animals is beginning to widen thanks to Nile's interruption.
Nile fired the last bullet and the zombie pets in that area are guaranteed to die. Another set of beautiful explosions echoed as the zombie pets wondered why and how.
Using fifteen Apocalypse Point, Nile bought a box of Level One° Exploding Bullet (+). The name of the bullet has a (+) on it, meaning it was stronger than the previous Exploding Bullet that Nile bought. The previous one is also much cheaper compared to his new bullets.
Nile opened the box and took one Exploding Bullet from it. It was slightly bigger than the first exploding bullet. Its colour did not change, which is still the same as before with black and flowing grey just like a cloud of rising smoke.
The more frontline zombie pets are already spread out, or maybe they have learned that forming groups would be akin to suicide.
The front-liner zombie pets somewhat knew the tricks already to avoid being roasted, but fortunately, the zombie pets at the rear did not know of this fact.
Nile smiled like a demon under his mask. Letting go of the projectile pocket has been added to the list of Nile's favourite.
The new exploding bullet hit the area which Nile had marked successfully. A vacuum is created and is then followed by the cloud of mushroom rising to the air. The surrounding zombie pets are engulfed instantly with the fire.
They did not have the opportunity to struggle as they will already breathe their last after just a few seconds of hearing the explosion.
Nile's massacre continued. His Apocalypse Point and stats points are constantly rising.
