The three zombies roared and leapt towards Maximo at the same time.

Maximo who has been ready all this while also made a leap to the side avoiding the three zombies first move.

Maximo did not wait for the first zombie to land on the ground. Maximo made a counterattack while he was still leaping, his front hooves landed, and the rear hooves that were still in midair made a sudden jolt. It kicked the first zombie right on its chest. The zombie's body flew backwards, its chest had a cavity in it. The body of the zombie hits one of the houses, rubbles flew everywhere as the zombie's body got embedded deep within.

Maximo's rear leg, as well as the two remaining zombies, had now landed to the ground. Before the two zombies could react, Maximo already twisted his body to the side. His tail rose in the air with the sledgehammer.

Bang*!

A zombie's body retreated a few steps backwards as its crossed arms were hit by the heavy sledgehammer.

Maximo is now facing the remaining zombie with only a meter distance between them. Maximo did not waste any more time. Using his horns, Maximo made a front leap and made a thrust towards the zombie.

The zombie saw the attack coming and crossed its arm to defend. Unfortunately for it, Maximo was now stronger than ever. The horns penetrated the zombie's arms all the way to its chest.

Maximo did not stop there, Maximo already knew that the zombie would not die with that kind of wound. Instead of withdrawing his horns, Maximo charged towards the enormous tree trunk. The zombie's body is dragged along as Maximo rammed it towards the tree trunk. The enormous tree trunk only shook a little as leaves rain down from above.

Bang*! Bang*! Bang*!...

The body of the zombie is crushed like an egg as Maximo rammed it repeatedly to the tree trunk. Even though the Apocalypse Virus inside the zombie's head is not dead, with all of its limbs broken, Maximo can now kill it easily.

Maximo withdrew his horns and rammed it for the last time, the horns directly penetrated the zombie's head, the Apocalypse Virus is now dead.

Nile then received a System prompt stating that his pet had collected a Level One° Apocalypse Virus. With that kill, Five Apocalypse Points has been added to his current Apocalypse Points balance.

Nile was observing on the sideline as he inspected the zombies 'stats' with the help of the System.

Nile mentally said 'stats ' to each of the zombies and assumed that the strongest one is their leader. It was also the one who crossed its arm at the last second to defend Maximo's sledgehammer attack.

Three Level One° zombies teaming up to ambush, there is definitely one zombie leader behind them.

'Can they understand each other? Strange!' Nile thought.

The leader zombie has a buff body. It was wearing a dirty yellow tank top and a basketball short that had many holes in it.

The second strongest zombie was a female zombie that was wearing a violet jacket. Its hair was tied in a ponytail. Its face has a terrifying gush that came from its left cheek all the way to the right corner of its mouth.

The already dead zombie has a thin build. It was wearing an orange shirt and black worn-out jeans.

After seeing the zombies 'stats', Nile is no longer worried about Maximo's safety. Besides, he could just intervene if something awry happens. But that is unlikely to occur, Nile was confident in that.

The basis of his confidence came from the fact that Maximo is now a Middle Stage Level One° animal. A Middle Stage Level One° animal has the strength that is equivalent to 7.01 up to 9.0, after all.

'Maximo had just evolved yesterday, his stats points are probably at 7.01 to 9.0 right now.' Nile contemplated while observing the battle.

Currently, Maximo has the upper hand. It had already killed one out of the three zombies. Nile observed that with Maximo's fighting prowess right now, killing the two remaining zombies will not be a problem.

Aside from Maximo's raw strength, it also has the sledgehammer as a secondary weapon.

The zombie that got hit with the rear legs of Maximo earlier now has a deep pit carved on its chest. The zombie could still move its body, but unfortunately, its fighting capability has been hindered because of that.

Maximo did not rush the battle and took his time in killing them. The previous three versus one battle had now come down to a one and a half versus one.

Amidst the battle, Nile could tell that Maximo is also improving little by little. Maximo did not act rashly and waited for the right opportunity to make a killer move.

After more than a minute of deflecting, kicking and charging, Maximo finally saw an opportunity when the zombie that has a cavity on its chest suddenly coughed out a massive amount of blood.

It dropped its guard down accidentally because of that. Maximo did not waste the opportunity as he rotated his body for three hundred and sixty degrees explosively. Maximo used the momentum that came from the rotation to power his killer attack.

Bang*! Splatter*!

A thunderous sound of something being hit echoed in the air, followed by a splash.

The sledgehammer attack that Maximo had prepared hits squarely on the zombie's head. With the momentum that came from the rotation, the attack was stronger than the first attack it received on the chest. The zombie's head popped like a balloon as blood and grey matters splattered in the surroundings.

Nile nodded his head in approval as he received a System prompt along with the addition of another Five Apocalypse Point in his balance.

The remaining zombie, which is the strongest of the three, saw an opportunity when Maximo was still rotating his body. It bolstered towards Maximo's head and immediately made a pose for a punch.

It stared down at Maximo arrogantly with one of its eyeballs popping out of the hole. Unlike before, Maximo did not chicken and stared back at the zombie defiantly. The zombie's punch landed and Maximo's neck armour was hit.

Bang*!

A loud and metallic bang echoed as Maximo's head is tilted to the side because of the impact.

The zombie seems to be taken aback that its powerful attack could only move the carabao's head a bit. Maximo recovered from the impact and stared at the zombie arrogantly in revenge. Maximo's mouth formed a smirk as he stared at the zombie.

The zombie retreated immediately after realizing that Maximo was more stronger. Maximo stared at the zombie playfully. Although the zombie doesn't have a visible injury, Maximo had actually broken one of the zombie's ribs earlier with a smash from the sledgehammer.

With that and some other minor injuries, the zombie's speed had definitely slowed down by a lot. It was also because of this same reason that Maximo dared to take the zombie's punch head-on.

As the zombie retreated hastily, it suddenly saw Nile in the corner of its eyes. After seeing the small human standing at the side, the zombie instantly switches direction, planning to attack Nile.

Maximo saw the sudden change and became startled. As Nile's 'pet', Maximo's primary mission was to do his best not to endanger Nile's life. It was also the reason why Maximo offered himself to fight the three zombies.

Maximo became enraged as he started to run madly towards the Level One° leader zombie. The zombie did not stop its actions, it was even more motivated after seeing Máximo's worried gaze.

Alas, how dumb can a zombie be?

It did not notice that the sheep it wanted to devour was a wolf all along.

Nile expected that a zombie might run or escape amidst the battle. Nile decided not to sheathe his Katana, instead, he used it as a support just like a walking stick.

Seeing the incoming zombie, Nile could not help but be reminded of a certain movie that he had watched before. The movie is all about a group of sinners formed by the government to run a suicide mission. Fortunately, they survived until the very end and returned triumphant.

The zombie's action right now is definitely the same as those people in the movie.

SUICIDE!

But unlike the people from the movie. The zombie will not be able to return in triumph.

Nile was now holding the Katana of Liberation diagonally. Drops of dark blood slid down from the Katana's tip.

The zombie's body which was still running towards Nile had stopped all of a sudden. It took another step as its body started to plummet to the ground.

As the zombie's body dropped to the ground, a part of the zombie's head suddenly separated from the rest.

With one clean and swift motion, Nile swift the zombie's head using the sharp Katana of Liberation instantly.
