Chapter 84: How to Torture a Man

A pain wrenching cry reverberated in the surroundings as the tip of the Kriegsmesser touched the man's skin. Nile pressed the Kriegsmesser of Agony deeper, and the end of its blade was then planted by an inch on the man's chest.

The tip of the blade was only buried in the man's chest by an inch deep, but the man's shrill cry is a sight to behold even for Nile. He became worried that they might attract unwanted attention because of the man's scream, so he decided to withdraw the Kriegsmesser from the man's chest.

Aside from letting the man experience some pain, Nile's other purpose of using the Kriegsmesser was to test its pain enhancing function. And to Nile's surprise, it was better than what he had initially thought.

The man's scream of pain could even be compared to a baby who did not drink milk for an entire day. And to be fair, the man was already a Level One° Human with a constitution of 8.2, meaning his pain tolerance must have improved, along with the enhancement of his Constitution.

The man was still trembling a little due to pain, even though Nile had already withdrawn the Kriegsmesser's blade. His body was about to plummet to the ground, but Nile grips his collar, preventing that from happening."You're such a cry baby little mouse!"

Nile is a vengeful person. Although he will tolerate insults and some other things, if someone crosses his bottom line, then that someone should expect revenge.

Nile calling the man a 'mouse' was not without reason. With the man's protruding mouth and teeth, he does resemble a mouse.

Nile discovered yet another function, and it was the 'function' to turn on and off the extra ability of Peak Weapons. Yes, only weapons that have a 'Peak' on their description has the privilege of having an additional ability. The extra ability can also be considered as the talent that is imbued or acquired by the weapon.

Nile turned off the function of the Kriegsmesser of Agony and continued to cut the man slowly. Although he wanted to let the man experience some pain, he could not do it right now because he is afraid of attracting unwanted attention.

He reckons that they were talking about their boss earlier, for the three of them who already have a Constitution of 8.2 but are still willing to follow that boss's order, then that particular boss certainly cannot be a pushover.

Nile slid the Kriegsmesser's blade across the man's arm. Although it was not as painful as having the function of increasing the pain turned on, the man was still twitching in pain from having his limbs getting cut slowly.

Nile decided to be fair and put a slice in every limb that the man has. The act was Nile's first time torturing someone. Although what he did was only simple torture, it was still a new experience for Nile.

And of course, Nile did not fancy the feeling of torturing someone. It was only his boiling rage that allowed him to continue doing so.

Nile got bored and was about to kill the man already and proceed to the other two. The man had already fainted anyway, so there is no benefit to torturing him anymore. However, Nile suddenly got an idea. "What if..."

Nile turned his head and stared at Maximo and Croco, who were taking turns on stomping the man with the scythe to death. They are doing it slowly, of course, as per Nile's order.

Nile waved at them to attract their attention. The two immediately responded and turned their heads towards Nile.

Nile approached the man he kicked earlier and lifted him by one hand. He dragged the man's body and put it beside the one he had tortured before. He took a glance towards his two pets and pointed at the two bodies lying under his feet. "Put that one here!"

The man was groaning while Maximo and Croco were dragging his body.

Three bodies were then lined up parallel to each other. The man that Nile had tortured was positioned at the center. The one holding the scythe was at the left side while the man Nile kicked earlier was placed at the right side.

Nile unsheathed the Katana of Liberation and turned on the Kriegsmesser of Agony's function again.

This will be Nile's first time using the dual-wield talent. Nile felt absurd that he was baptizing the fantastic talent with torture.

Nile held the Kriegsmesser of Agony on the right hand and the Katana of Liberation on the other. Nile stood at the mouse-like man's feet and readied his two swords.

Nile reversed grip the two swords and buried the tip of each blade on the mouse man's ankle. The mouse-man fainted earlier and opened his eyes abruptly as a strange expression of 'Agony' and Liberation alternated on the man's face.

The man wanted to scream but could not. There was an Agonizing pain on his left foot and a refreshing feeling on the right. The man could not decide what kind of expression he should use.

Should he moan in pleasure, or should he scream in pain?

What is torture? This is what torture should be like.

The two dying men beside him saw the scene and could not help but feel frightened. They wanted to escape this hellish place already. Unfortunately, their body was injured to the point that one of their feet was now buried under the ground. Not to mention, each of them has a hoof pinning their chest down.

The man cried and begged for Nile to stop or to kill him already. But Nile did not listen to the man's rumbling as he left the two swords on the man's ankle for a good amount of time.

Nile twitches the two swords blade at the same time, causing the man to moan and then scream alternately. The man cried and stared at Nile. "Please... Just kill me already."

Nile ignored the man and withdrew the two swords at the same time. He then moved and pierced them in the man's belly. The man was littered with blood all over his body at this time. Even if he somehow escapes, the man's death is already inevitable due to the amount of blood he lost.

Nile got bored again and decided to end the man's life already. He withdrew the two swords and planted them at the man's neck this time. With that, the man's suffering ended along with his life. His eyes were half closed and half-open. His expression was that of pain and relief.

Nile was about to proceed to the other two, but he soon realized that they were no longer breathing. The two men peed their pants and actually died in fright.

Nile shook his head. He has a bitter smile on his face. Nile thought that he should not have forced the action. Although he felt better after seeing the man experience that kind of pain, he also felt horrible inside after doing the deed.

Nile brushed the thought off his shoulder. He does not know where that bitter feeling came from. Was it really due to the fact that he just tortured a person? Or maybe it was due to the fact that he had just experienced his first kill? Or maybe both?

Nile felt that it was the right thing to do. Killing them was absolutely necessary. They might create future troubles for him if he did not kill them here. They have a boss behind their back after all.

Nile remembered a particular novel that he had read before. It was a novel where the mc won't kill his opponents because of the mc's kindness. Those enemies would then think of some grand plan to make a comeback and take revenge on the mc. Nile shook his head to that kind of mc.

Nile was about to approach the woman when he suddenly remembered something. "Those guys, they would not dare to take revenge, right?"

Nile had the urge to return to that place and kill those robbers once and for all. Nile was regretting the fact that he did not kill them outright. It was because he preferred making his first kill more memorable that he forgot the underlying danger of releasing the group.

Nile made a sigh and decided to let them go for now. However, the next time they meet, if they planned on taking revenge, that would be the right time for their life to be suspended.

Nile approached and squatted at the front of the woman. The woman was now leaning her back on the wall. She was staring at Nile in fear. Her face contorted as she could not decide what to feel at this moment.

Fear, or gratitude?

The woman knew that she was wrong for mistaking Nile as someone from that group of people. She wanted to apologize, but her fear for Nile was more apparent. I mean, who would not feel fear and trepidation after witnessing that scene?

The woman could not look at Nile's eyes directly; she could only look down while trembling in fear. She could even feel her heartbeat in her throat. It was as if her heart itself wanted to escape through her mouth because of the anxiety it felt. Her voice stutters as she forces herself to speak. "P..pl..ple.assee... n..noo.."

Her lips trembled as her eyes started to water. "I'm s..sorry... I did...n't know you're not one of them....please... I'll do anything, just...please...don't kill me."

Nile shook his head after hearing that one. He waved his hand and stood up. "Forget it. You can leave. Just keep your mouth shut."

Nile wanted to kill the woman at first to avoid trouble, but after seeing her pathetic state, he decided against it. Besides, they don't have any enmity, to begin with. Reporting the event that happened earlier to the so-called 'boss' would also not do anything good for her.

Nile gets inside in one of the rooms to rest. Maximo and Croco followed behind him as usual. They wanted to protect Nile while he was asleep.

Of course, before that, they should eat first.
