Into The Zombie World Chapter 103

Faint noise could be heard coming from the bunker.
Seeing the bunker and the stairs leading underground, as well as the faint noise of something clanging, Nile suddenly had the urge to explore inside.
Looking back at the three humans, he felt that it would be inappropriate to leave them behind. What if they suddenly escape and report to other people what he had just done? He doesn't know if they and the man he killed was an acquaintance. But he doubts it considering how the man dropped them like a heavy bag earlier.
Still, it was better to be safe than sorry. He communicated with his two pets using the earrings of loyalty's function. He instructed them to keep a look at the three and notify him immediately if something happened.
He already inspected the three and they were all just above a newly evolved Level One° Human. Maximo and Croco would not have any problem with dealing with them if they ever thought of something funny.
He wanted to explore what was inside the bunker. He was not sure if there's something terrifying there though, but considering the System had not notified him if actual danger, he thought that it would be safe.
Ever since the last failed emergency mission, the System no longer issued him another task. Well, it's not that he was in trouble anyway.
Still, Nile wanted to be alert and held his Katana tightly.
Getting down the stairs, Nile couldn't help but pinch his nose because of the rotten smell that assaulted his nose.
As he gets lower and lower, the temperature also started to get warm. The rotting smell was still assaulting Nile's nose. He couldn't take it anymore and decided to buy a Level One° Mask, the same as before.
After wearing the mask, Nile could now definitely breathe in and out freely.
Nile arrived inside the bunker. He looks around and found that it was spacious.
Nile followed where the faint noise was coming and there he saw what was causing the commotion.
It was a girl, locked inside a square-shaped cage. Both her feet were tied with something like a piece of clothes, while her hand was weakly pulling the bars of the cage. Her pulling was what caused the faint clanging noises.
As Nile got closer to her, he was able to clearly see her appearance. She has overgrown hair and her face was flawless.
At first glance, Nile wanted to believe that the girl was not really a zombie. However, it was what is stated on the System. The girl was a zombie that had just evolved to Level One°.

This was the first time that Nile had seen a zombie that doesn't have a rotting or a disgusting face.
She was now staring at Nile with her white eyes that looks like it had a cataract. She was growling weakly, as her hand was now trying to reach Nile.
He was curious how can a zombie, who got locked up under a bunker doesn't have a diminishing status on her.
Not long after, Nile recalled the man he killed earlier.
Seeing the zombie girl, the ramblings of the man earlier, as well as the three humans he brought. Nile was convinced that they were all connected.
'I see. I see!' Nile thought amused.
The man must have thought that he killed this zombie girl here, causing him to react that way. The three humans outside must be the food he prepared for the zombie girl.
Nile then thought of the possibility of the girl being the man's girlfriend.
He clicked his tongue and said, "How lucky!"
Not wasting any more time, Nile plunged the Katana of Liberation on the zombie girl's head, killing her directly.
An increment of 0.05 was added on his stats points and his Apocalypse Points were also added with 5.
Nile took a glance at his stats screen and calculated how many Level One° zombies he should kill before leveling up to Two°.
His Constitution and Energy cap was now ar 10.85. To reach Level Two° starting point of 15.0, Nile still needs to kill 83 more Level One° zombies.
After killing the zombie girl, Nile didn't immediately go out but instead look around and inspected the spacious room.
At one corner of the room, Nile saw a dozen or so boxes piled up together. It was just behind the zombie girl's cage. There, he saw bones piled like a small mountain. Some of the bones were still bloody, while some of the blood coating them had already dried.
Nile still wanted to explore the spacious room, but after hearing a moo, he instantly dashed outside the bunker.
As his body emerged from the bunker's entrance, droplets of water started to fall on Nile's face.
'Raining?' Nile thought.
Thinking of that, a smile suddenly blossomed under his mask. He didn't know why but he suddenly felt emotional for finally experiencing rain in this world.
Back at the matter at hand, Nile ignored the rain for and looks around to search for Maximo and Croco.
On the other side of the huge tree trunk, Nile saw Maximo and Croco following the girl who was clearly awake earlier.

They were following her side by side, as she did her best to pull two bodies at the same.
The girl was Gretta. When the rain started to pour down all of a sudden, Gretta still wanted to pretend unconscious as she could still feel that someone was staring at her.
However, the rain had already started to soak her body and her still unconscious sisters. Without any choice, she tried her luck and sits up. She looks around and found out that the one staring at her was two animals, a carabao and a crocodile. The two were only a few distances away from her.
She hardened her resolve and closed her eyes as she started to pull the bodies of her two sisters towards the three. She wanted to use the tree as the shelter for the rain.
As she pulled the two, she couldn't help but feel nervous. She took a peek earlier and witnessed how Jacob's head got split. The two animals were probably the companions of that man earlier.
She then heard a loud moo and she couldn't help but close her eyes more tightly. A moment had passed but nothing happened. The rain was still pouring down on her, she regained her courage and pulled the two bodies again.
She dragged the two bodies towards the three not knowing that the animals she was talking about were now escorting her. Their intentions though were not a friendly one. As they only escorted her to attack her immediately if she did something funny, as per Nile's instructions.
A moment, her back suddenly bumps into something hard. She reckoned that it was the tree's trunk already. She could also feel that the rain pouring down was not as heavy as before, due to the leaves sheltering it from above.
Slowly opening her eyes, she couldn't help but yelp loudly. Six eyes, no, five eyes were staring at her intently.
The man who killed Jacob earlier was now staring at her.
She gulped a mouthful of saliva. Her thoughts were in scrambles as she tried her best to think of a word to speak. Finally, with stuttering and meek voice, she said, "Tha... tha... nkk... you?"
She closed her eyes tightly again in nervousness. She was afraid. What if the man suddenly attacks and kills her? What if after her, the man would turn and kill her two sisters too?
Nile was very silent and only stared at the woman in front of him.
Seeing her body trembling, he knew that the girl was visibly afraid. However, the woman from before also had the same reaction.
Nile had now trust issues about acts like this.
However, as the girl had not done anything that might cause him and his pets harm yet, he decided to be lenient and observe for now.
Gretta was in turmoil inside. She could still feel the man's gaze. She didn't hear a reply nor any sound coming from the opposite party.
With closed eyes, she said in a nervous tone. "I'm sorry. Please don't kill us. We haven't done anything wrong. It was Jacob's fault. He kidnapped us and bring us here. Please, don't. We still have a sister who has a fever and in need of immediate treatment..."
She continued to narrate her story, and Nile was listening quietly.
After a few minutes, she stopped rambling and aside from the droplets of rain, tears started to fall down her face too.
She blamed herself for trusting the handsome Jacob. She blamed herself as the root of everything. She felt sorry for what has happened to her sisters.
Nile stared at her quietly. He doesn't know what to reply. He was not good with words, Nile knew that.
After seeing her like that, Nile could feel that her feelings were genuine and not fake. He finally decided to turn around and move towards the other side of the three.
"Leave if you want!"
Hearing that, Gretta suddenly felt hopeful. She couldn't help but say thank you many times while watching Nile's back.
One last time, Nile wanted to trust another survivor. If this goes awry as well, then he didn't know what to expect from the human survivors anymore.
Two hours had passed and the rain had already subsided.
Sarah had already woken up but still felt sore all over her body so she couldn't move. Gretta then handed her one ibuprofen to lessen the pain that she felt.
Gretta then narrated what she witnessed earlier. She narrated how Nile killed Jacob as well as how Nile decided to let them go.
Sarah glanced around and saw Jacob's body lying not far from them. With all her remaining strength, she crawled all the way to his body.
She then saw the knife, used by Jacob, and picked it up. Raising the knife above her head, she proceeded and stabbed the dead body of Jacob with all her might.
"Fuck you! Fuck you! Fuck youuu!"
