Into The Zombie World Chapter 127

It took Nile almost 5 hours to reach the village entrance, but after hearing the alarm, it only took him a few minutes to came back to the house.
Nile circled the entire house in an instant to search for the intruder. He couldn't find any, so he entered the house in alert. As he was already here, the alarm had already stopped ringing.
Nile collected the alarm and sold it again for half the original price.
The same moment Nile entered the house, two doors also opened at the same time. No, not opened, instead, it was, two doors were broken at the same time.
Nile stared at the two broken doors leading to his two pets. The instant the two doors broke at the same time, Nile already knows what was going on. There is no intruder or something like that.
The movement reported by the alarm system was just his two pets finally succeeding on their evolution.
Two figures emerged from their respective doors. Loud thuds echoed on the right while slithering noise echoed on the left.
The figures leapt and landed in front of Nile. The other one made the ground break while the other one landed smoothly and silently.
As the dust settled down, Maximo and Croco's new appearance greeted Nile.
Actually, it didn't change much.
Maximo's underbelly now had its own hard carapace to act as the defence. Looking at his rear, Nile could no longer see his sledgehammer there. But what replaced it was Maximo's tail, that looks like a sledgehammer. Maybe Maximo really liked the sledgehammer a lot?
Nile also felt that Maximo had become heavier. Looking at Maximo, he had this heavy feeling, like it's trying to tell him that, 'I'm very very very heavy!' Nile even had this urge to try and lift Maximo. But that would be for later.

Maximo was breathing steadily as his one eye was showing its confidence to Nile.
Nile turned him towards the silent Croco. He was giving off the feeling of cunningness and slippery. His body was glistening like it was coated with some shiny and slippery fluids. The skins of Croco showed like metal scales. Scale that resembled a snake. Slippery and Cold.
Croco had become a cold-blooded killer. At least, that's the vibe that Nile was getting from him. It didn't affect Nile as Croco was his pet, but if other people saw Croco like that, they would surely turn tail and run.
Croco's spikes on his back were flattened and combed towards the back neatly. The spikes are now more thinner and deadly compared to the previous time Nile saw them. His arm-blade was also folded at this time, but Nile could tell that it had gotten longer and more curved. If the blade was extracted, then it would surely fit to become a reaper or a huge scythe.
Croco's eyes were slitted calmly as he stared at Nile. It's as if he was saying, 'Trust Me!'
Nile nodded his head to the two's transformation. He knew that they had become stronger and wouldn't hold him back on a dangerous fight. The two animals were now at the Final Stage of Level One°. Two more upgrades and they would reach Level Two°. Nile looked forward to the time it would happen.
Nile closed in on them and patted each of their head.
The two had gotten taller and bigger. Maximo had now become a semi-giant carabao. His height was now the same as Nile. If his perfectly curved horns were added, then Maximo is taller than Nile.
Croco's height had now grown into Nile's throat. If the spikes on his back stood or get protruded, then he would also be taller than the Nile. His length had now also gotten longer. If his tail were not cut, then Nile estimated that his length would reach more than 15 meters.

Just like Nile when he finished his evolution, the two also didn't have the sign of being fatigued. Instead, they were also like a person high on drugs, lively and alert.
No person could sleep if they were that high.
Nile smiled and hopped towards Maximo's back.
They can't sleep? Then they should work.
The sadle had been overlystretched due to the increase in Maximo's size. However, Nile didn't mind it as he was also planning to buy a new one later.
Pulling the overused reins, Nile urges Maximo to run.
Maximo grinned and in an instant, he dashed outside the house.
Boom!
One part of the house walls were shattered as Maximo's figure emerges from within. Maximo didn't bother to use the door anymore, it could no longer fit him anyway.
Croco followed behind, his body slithering like a snake.
It didn't take long for them to reach the village entrance. There were still some scattered weapons there and Nile had still not reached the area where they massacred the zombie pets. There were casualties of mutated animals there, the one they accidentally killed, and the others that got killed by the zombie pets before they could transform into one.
"Gather them in one place!" Nile instructed as he somersaulted away from Maximo's back.
He landed in front of a bull, and in one swift motion, he cut its mutated horns and store them inside the System Storage Space.
Maximo and Croco's clothe armor had already been shattered the moment they evolved.
That's why he needs to work extra hard to provide for the needs and wants of his two pets.
He wanted to become a good owner after all. He didn't want them staging some complaints about mistreatment. Though, they wouldn't as they are loyal due to the Earrings of Loyalty.
Carcass to carcass of mutated animals was then delivered towards Nile promptly.
After successfully extracting one, another would be delivered by Maximo and Croco.
The dawn had arrived and Nile just extracted the final mutated animal's mutated part.
Bone cracking noise sounded as Nile arched and stretch his back.
"Finally!" Nile stated after seeing his total Apocalypse Points.
"And, what a lucky number!" Nile continued.

Tower of Somnus
When humanity first encountered alien life, we were judged and found wanting. The Galactic Consensus interviewed our leaders and subjected us to a battery of psychological tests to determine our progress as a society. They found us to be selfish, wasteful, impulsive, and boorish neighbors. Earth was blockaded and our collective encounter with our extrasolar neighbors rapidly faded from memory. All they left behind was a hypercomm relay and a handful of subscriptions to a massively multiplayer game that participants played in their sleep. The Consensus said that it would let us interact with our neighbors in a controlled setting. That it would teach us to be better members of the galactic community. The megacorporations that controlled Earth ignored the game until they learned that the powers earned from clearing dungeons were just as real when day broke. Magic, supernatural abilities and rumors exploded from nothing and a subscription to The Tower of Somnus became a status symbol. Katherine ‘Kat’ Debs doesn’t have much, but it could be worse. Born in an arcology, she was assigned a job in the megacorporation that raised her almost as soon as she could work. Despite the stability of her corporate life, she wanted something more. He slowly backs up until his back is against the wall like my own, "You're..my neighbor?" He points to my door and I nod my head quickly. He hums softly, "You been here a while?" He asks and I nod my head once again. He chuckles, "Ya head hurt?" I nod again but stop as he laughs softly, "I-I mean.. no.. it doesn't." He puts his box down before walking over to one of the grey bins. I nosily watch as he pulls out a big grey sweatshirt, "Here." He holds it out for me to take and I stare at him with wide eyes, "F-For me?" I hesitantly grab the soft fabric as he chuckles, "Nah for ya mom." I puff my cheeks a little and give him a small glare, "Hush." He leans back against the wall and shakes his head, "It's cold out.
