Into The Zombie World Chapter 137

After letting Maximo gallop for an hour, Nile finally felt safer and thus allowed Maximo to go slower.
"Fortunately, I fled early. Not to mention those survivors, just how many red dots are on the System Map during that time? Scary!" Nile murmured atop Maximo.
"It seems the System Map has been improved along with me obtaining the Instant Adapter Talent. Previously, I recalled that it would only display enemies that are visible around me. I reckon there are too many trees and buildings surrounding that area where we fought. Not to mention, those red dots were still far from me during that time."
"It's better this way, with the help of the Instant Adapter talent, I'll be able to see zombies far away. I still don't know its limit yet but I supposed it's over 150 meters around me."
Nile keeps on murmuring atop Maximo. If someone manages to see him that way, they would surely think he's a lunatic.
The sun was high above; it's almost approaching noon.
However, due to the Level Two° clothes he wore, and the Level One° clothes his pets wore, they didn't feel the heat of the King Sun.
Not to mention, there's still the shade of trees and buildings that they passed by from time to time.
Right now, as Nile was busy murmuring atop Maximo, it was his two pets that mostly looked for zombies to kill.
Croco was now in front of Maximo, alertly glancing left and right, in search of zombies to kill.
Maximo was more careful and didn't make many movements aside from the slow gallop to not disturb his master. However, from time to time, he would also sniff around like a dog as if trying to smell some zombies around.
Suddenly, they heard their master speak. "Turn left after that house."

Inside him, Nile was gazing at the System Map that now has a small red dot that appeared far away from his indicator.
The red dot is smaller than the Level Two° zombie earlier and those red dots approach him after the fight. Nile guessed that it was a Level One° zombie.
However, it's also bigger than those he encountered before, so he presumes that it was a Level One° zombie that is close to leveling up.
Croco arrived first, instantly, his movements halted and his spikes stood erect as he wriggled his body like a cat, ready to pounce on its prey.
"Alright, go!" Nile said as he hopped away from Maximo's back.
The two pets felt they were useless in the previous fight. They wanted to kill this zombie themselves as if trying to prove their worth.
Woosh!
The instant Nile granted his permission, Croco's body instantly blurred and arrived in front of a zombie leaning on a thick tree.
Rotating his body like a drill, Croco extended his front arms and pointed the blades towards the zombie.
Croco thought it was a sure kill, however, the zombie's eyelid suddenly opened before his blades arrived on its neck.
Ting!
The sound of metal hitting metal echoed as Croco's blade was deflected by the zombie's thin arms.
Boom!
Maximo was not far behind Croco, and the moment Croco's attack got deflected away, Maximo instantly arrived. Using his two perfectly curved horns, he knocked and smashed the zombie towards the tree.
The surface of the tree concave inwards after that attack from Maximo. The zombie got embedded on the concave spot, unfortunately, it was able to grab Maximo's head and was able to stop his advance. His horns are only an inch away from the zombie's throat.
Croco suddenly emerged above Maximo's back. Swiping his arm-blade towards the zombie's head, Croco tried to land a hit.

However, the zombie dodged yet again. It ducked and even managed to headbutt Maximo in the process. Pushing Maximo's head away, the zombie successfully gets out of being cornered.
Croco and Maximo also retreated at the same time to make a distance from the zombie.
The zombie shivered as if it was being electrocuted. A portion of its head was cut and the brains inside are free for everyone to see. It seems that Croco had successfully landed a hit during that time. Its forehead had a concave part on it, it was probably done after it headbutted Maximo.
Observing from the side, Nile saw that the zombie's movements are somewhat strange and have a slight delay. "Hmmm. I see!"
"Be careful, you two had only just evolved to Final Stage, that zombie however was already trying to breakthrough into Level Two°. It's also your opportunity to kill it, you just interrupted its evolution and it might take time for it to stabilize." Leaning against a house wall, Nile with arms crossed on his chest, said towards his two pets.
'I wonder if we let it be and let it evolve successfully, would its strength increase in one go or would it need time for it to gradually increase?' Nile pondered.
'I'm more inclined towards the latter.' Nile thought
The zombie he fought earlier had 18 stats points. If it's only consuming brains since Level Two°, how could its strength also increase?
Level Two° zombies would mostly eat human brains during this stage. They need it to raise their intelligence. It means that during this stage, they wouldn't have the time to look for other zombie Apocalypse Virus. With that said, their strength would mostly increase along the way and not in an instant, like what he initially thought.
The zombie's body continued to convulse. Its arms in particular are shaking wildly up and down.
'Hmm? That movement, it's quite familiar.' Nile thought.
Isn't that the movement most rappers would do during their rap?
'So, it's going to deform its arms like the zombie earlier, huh.' Nile arrived at this conclusion after much pondering.
The first Level two° zombie he had seen had quite an unsightly appearance. So he guessed that this zombie was also going to become like that, seeing it's shaking and throbbing arms.
"Don't wait for it to successfully evolve." Nile reminded his two pets.
The two nodded and made their distinctive sound. Maximo with a 'moo' and Croco with a 'grrru'.

Marakar
Far from the exploration he yearned to go on, Rae, the Kijah prince, finds himself in the middle of the impending war between Kijah'dar and Ga'ani. Unknown to him, or to the rest of the states, the Kijah Magister plots to overthrow the queen, and he will stop at nothing to achieve his plans. Marakar is a fantasy adventure series about the island states of Mar’narana (with focus primarily on the two states, Kijah'dar and Ga'ani). Tensions between the big players are rising, with more and more plots getting revealed, and powers are unexpectedly shifting. As the string of seemingly unconnected events grows taut, the smaller nations suddenly find themselves into the midst of things, struggling with the sudden shifting of their boards. On a more meta note, I am trying to develop two storylines parallel to each other. As you might have noticed, odd-numbered chapters are very different from even-numbered chapters. That’s because those are the two different storylines; odd-numbered chapters are in the present, while even-numbered ones are in the past. Once the two eventually meet I'll continue with just the present storyline. This story can also be found here where it currently updates every other Sunday (about twice a month). Feedback is greatly appreciated! Thank you for taking the time to read. :) tw/cw list (please take care of your mental health! Don't force yourself to read these chapters if they may harm you). -------> Chapter 14: hate crime description.
