Into The Zombie World Chapter 156

Listening to their master's permission, the two's expression suddenly transformed from meek and modest to ferocious and savage.
'These two...' Nile could only shake his head in defeat. Well, it's not that it was against his will for them to kill the zombie. The apocalypse points would still be his as well as the stats that came along with it.
In an instant, the zombie's body started to fall, and the two leaped up simultaneously to meet it.
As the two were just beside each other, they wouldn't be able to perform the double goliath attack. However, for the two animals, it isn't a problem.
Side by side, they both arrived and met the falling body of the zombie in mid-air.
Maximo, with his sledgehammer tail and Croco's arm-blades, the two smashed the zombie's body to the floor like a bullet.
BOOM!
Like a bullet, the zombie's body shot towards the floor and broke through it, making its way towards the ground floor.
The two animals hoof-bumped in mid-air before landing on the ground. Strangely enough, with their heavy bodies, the floor didn't collapse, and only a little depression could be seen under their hoofs.
As they were about to celebrate their victory, their master Nile suddenly poured cold water on their celebration.
"Nada! Not dead yet!" He shook his head while crossing both of his arms over his chest.
"Finish him!" He continued, performing a gesture with an arm sliding across his neck.
"Moo!"
"Grrr!"
The two animals produced a growl from their mouths and instantly jumped high into the air simultaneously.
Boom!
Like a descending meteor, the two forcefully broke through the floor and immediately arrived at the lowest floor.
Broken pieces of shattered cement flew everywhere as the two landed beside the fallen zombie.

And like what Nile had said, the zombie really isn't dead yet.
Nile smiled and shook his head before leaping towards the hole that the two animals had created. 'What a flashy way of pursuing a zombie!'
They have caused quite a commotion already. 'Well, as long as the ones getting attracted are not that many, then that's fine.'
If it's a dozen level one zombies, then it's not a problem for Nile. One or two level two zombies aren't a problem either. He doesn't want to be surrounded like what had happened before, when dozens of big red dots appeared all of a sudden on the System Map. That's quite a shock for him at that time. Fortunately, the instant adapter talent made him quite the alert one.
I just became a level two human, alright? Please have mercy and don't gang up on me.
At the same instance, he landed on the lowest floor, he also observed the lying zombie's underneath the rubbles.
It was squirming, trying to stand up from the rubbles that buried it. However, without a hand, the zombie could only do it's best to squirm like a worm. At its chest area, he noticed a deep cavity and a long cut in it. He guessed that it might be from the last attack of Maximo and Croco earlier.
Maximo and Croco were just beside the zombie, looking down towards it like a human observing an ant from above.
Aren't you too strong earlier? Why are you squirming there like a worm now? Where's your arrogance when you decided not to use your full strength on us? Pathetic!
"Damn! Finish it already, you two, stop being pretentious." Nile said after seeing the smug look on his pet's face.
'Honestly though, where did these two get this trait? Sigh!' He shook his head in a disappointed manner.

'Why can't they be like their master? Handso-, I mean, humble and lowkey?'
The two animals made a snort and instantly attacked the squirming zombie.
Putsik!
Boom!
Croco's attack arrived first and landed on the zombie's forehead, the blade rebounded a little due to the forehead's hardness, but it was still able to pierce it a little. At the same time, Maximo's sledgehammer tail arrived to hammer in the stuck blade of Croco.
Like a nail being smashed by a hammer, Croco's blade instantly penetrated the zombie's hard forehead.
"Continue!" The two suddenly heard their master's voice at the side. They understood what he meant, 'attack again the zombie is not dead yet!'
Maximo raised his sledgehammer tail again before smashing it back towards Croco's blade. It took him another three smashes before Croco's blade penetrated half of the zombie's skull.
"Yep, received the email!' Nile said after confirming that the zombie had finally died.
At this moment, Max and Croco had already been enraged by how hard the zombie's head is. Even though they already heard Nile's confirmation, Croco had still not withdrawn his blade and Maximo's sledgehammer was still raised in the air.
Boom!
Boom!
Boom!
Boom!
Four resounding booms echoed until the zombie's head finally got sliced in half.
Ptui!
The two animals spit some of their 'saliva' towards the zombie's head as if saying, 'So much resistance, but it finally went in.'
Nile nodded his head and proceeded to compliment his two pets.
"That's a nice thrust, you two. Keep it up!" He said with a thumbs up, clearly happy that his Apocalypse Points had increased as well as his stats.
The two animal's made hoof-bumps again before bumping their bodies to congratulate each other. At the same time, gestures of flattery were shown by the two animals expertly.
'Sigh! What did I do for you two to become like this?' Nile shook his head again.
He had already lost count on how many times he had shaken his head today.
Sigh!
Still, it's a happy occasion as his apocalypse and stats points had increased yet again. So he didn't mind shaking his head more if everytime he did so, a happy occasion will occur.
The only regrettable thing was, as it's still a Level One°, and not a Level One° being interrupted amidst evolution, the system only gives him Apocalypse Points and stats increment befitting of a level one zombie.
He only received 5 Apocalypse Points and 0.05 stats points increment, as opposed to when he got good amount points for interrupting a zombie amidst its evolution.
However, his mood suddenly went up again after seeing three System prompts suddenly appearing without warning inside his head.
"Ohoho! What a surprise."

Of Life and Light
Home. By definition, such a word means "A place where one lives", but what happens when one is removed from their home by those with greater authority? One would seek out another place to live, of course. Karastak, a Devil King and a Fallen God of a world called Terra, was removed from his world by something greater than himself, and has journeyed to the world of Azzarath by way of Azazel, God King of the Azzarathean Pantheon. Perhaps she performed thusly through pity, charity, or a simple act of kindness with no strings attached. Regardless, he is deposited near a village upon a mountainous range within the world. There, he meets up with his Human family, a grizzled old Templar, a shy Cleric, and an apathetic Mage, that came to take him away from his troubles, but he does not budge. That is, until one of his servants speaks of finding a new home. However, perhaps instead of finding a home, he finds adventure instead? The story within is a Frame Story, which means it is a story within another story. In that this one is being told by three personages, a God King called the Ageless, a Lich King called Brutus, and a Goddess named Sarah. Each of them speaks of the Ageless's past self, one called Karastak, as he journeys onwards throughout the worlds within the Azzarathean Pantheon in search of something more.
