Into The Zombie World Chapter 221

Instead of throwing, Mario pushed the shot-put ball just like what a shot-putter would.
Because of how heavy 'The Round World' is, it doesn't matter if he threw it or not. Because what he was using now was not his dominant hand. And instead of opting for a throw that might miss, he wanted it to be a sure hit by pushing the ball straight to Burge's face.
However, what he didn't expect was that Burge was able to avoid it easily.
And what's more, Burge used that attack as a signal to dash like a flash. He evaded the ball easily and arrived directly in front of the flustered Mario.
With still, a gloomy and dark face, Burge brandished his sword towards Mario's neck preparing to chop it off and separate it on the body.
As he was slowed down by the paralysis poison, he wasn't able to react in time. As the sword loomed closer towards his neck, Mario's expression also turned gloomy.
When he was certain that his neck would be cut off and flashbacks already started surfacing on his mid, a sudden ting* sound suddenly interrupted his hallucinations.
When he came back to his senses, he saw the glossy sharp sword held by Burge only a few inches away from his neck. Aside from the sword, he also saw a pitch-black knife obstructing the glossy sword's advance.
Mario's eyes lit up as he saw who it was. He uses that given opportunity to retreat away from the mad Burge.
"Arigato, Emon-kun!" He exclaimed as he retrieved 'The Round World' back.
"You're suddenly trying to interfere? You should have just waited there and waited for your turn." Burge hissed as he retracted the sword back while kicking Emon's stomach in the process.
Emon knew how strong Burge is so he didn't dare to be careless. He saw his kick right away and he felt how much force Burge used on that one. Instead of trying to parry it, Emon decided to step back a little before making a stabbing motion with the knife on his hands.

Burge was forced to halt on his action again as he didn't want his foot to be skewered by that black knife Emon was holding.
However, he already learned his lesson and knew that Emon would counter him like that.
That kick was actually a feint and the real attack was now traveling towards Emon's face.
A huge fist tore the air as it flew towards Emon's emo face. Emon was startled and thought that he would be hit by that fist, but he felt relieved when a rusted ball suddenly appeared and deflected Burge's fist away.
Emon also retreated to take a breather after experiencing that near 'death' situation.
Phew!*
Emon heaves a loud sigh as he tries to calm down his wildly beating heart. At first, he really didn't want to act and let them kill each other.
However, from what he was seeing it seems that the twin was nearing their defeat. He didn't expect Damian and Burge to be that strong. He thought that if he didn't interfere, sooner or later, Mario and Dario would be killed. And if that time came, he would be the only one left on their side.
He knows that he will become the next target if the situation results in that direction.
'I miscalculated! I thought the twins would be able to kill these two muscle-heads easily.' Emon thought as he recalled the previous battle.
Although he doesn't want to interfere, he doesn't want to get killed after the situation he imagined gets unfolded either.
"Emon-kun, I hate to say this but I don't think I would be able to defeat him with my current status. My whole body felt numb and my full right arm could not move. I don't know how long this would last. And with that, I am hoping that we too joined hands to defeat him. What do you think?" Mario suggested after assessing the situation.

"Fine by me!" Emon replied with a nod.
"Stop talking and fight already!" Burge said as he prepared to dashed towards Emon again.
'Any minute now and the toad's poison effect would already wear off, especially for Mario who has higher strength than me.'
'Dexter won't be a problem as he is basically dead after being stabbed in the neck with a sword coated with the toad's poison. And that Dario kid might recover any minute now.'
Usually, if a deep wound was created using a sword coated with the toad's poison, the effect would last up to 5 minutes. It also depends on the strength of the one that gets poisoned. The stronger they are, the lower the efficacy would be.
And for Mario who only got scratched and was a strong being from the start, Burge was sure that he would regain his senses any seconds from now.
Hence he became worried and wanted the fight to end immediately. Damian was still out and wouldn't wake up any minute now.
Burge wanted to go and help him but the current situation wouldn't allow him to. He could only endure and hope for his friend to be alright. 'Hang in there bud. I'm gonna pummel these two to the ground to avenge you'.
As he said that, Burge suddenly sprinted towards Emon like a bolt of lightning. He reversed hold his sword, still afraid of breaking it without anything to gain. At least if it would break, he wanted it to be at the head of one of his opponents.
As he sprinted, Emon and Mario also readied themselves to confront this 'muscle head' of a guy.
Burge arrived near Emon instantly with extreme speed. He didn't stop his momentum and proceeded to make a punching motion towards Emon's face with the hilt of the sword.
However, his real aim was not Emon, but actually, Mario who is beside him.
Unfortunately at that moment, Burge heard a surprise yell from Mario himself.
"Ehh? I can move now! Kekekeke! Surprise mothafacka!"

It is actually how the game has gone and there is a very real chance that anyone, including Sylvester, could die in any encounter. To help make my job easier I am using dungeons written by other people, which is why I have listed this as a fanfiction. I put links to all of them in the chapters where they are relevant.)
