Into The Zombie World Chapter 230

Boom!
A deafening sound suddenly reached everyone's ears when a black figure struck Nile's body.
He was caught off guard as he has already affirmed that the area was safe.
Boom!
Another loud explosion was heard as Nile and the black figure hit the wall of the house, breaking it into multiple pieces in the process.
Nile was a little dizzy from the impact, but he recovered from it instantly.
The black figure was lying on top of him, breathing heavily. The figure's body was covered with wounds, and some part of the figure's body was already visible due to its clothes being torn apart.
Nile immediately pushed the figure away as he stood up with a back stand.
Maximo and the others were taken aback and could also not react in time.
As they were about to pounce on the black figure that struck Nile, they suddenly heard another explosion behind them.
It startled the trio and when they turned their heads to look at what it was that caused the explosion this time, their eyes suddenly went wide in surprise when a massive zombie standing almost three meters tall emerged from within the room of the house.
ROAARRRRR!
The massive zombie released a thunderous roar that shook even the walls of the house they were in.
The trio was rooted to their spot due to their inherent fear of a greater being. Their legs were like jelly as they wobbled upon feeling the massive strength difference between them and the zombie.
"Stop dawdling and get away from there immediately!"
Fortunately, the frantic shout that came from their master had awoken them from their trepidation.
The trio was startled by the shout but it was nevertheless effective. The moment they awoke from the trepidation, they instantly retreated to Nile's side as fast as they could.

At first, Nile was confused and even thought that the figure was a zombie, given its appearance that was full of wounds.
However, when the zombie appeared from the same direction that the figure flew from, the situation became clear to him, and he suddenly felt bad for mistaking the figure as a zombie.
When the trio pets arrived closed to him, Nile did not even glance at them as he hissed-
"Why are you guys still here? Get as far away as possible, you'll only just become a burden to me!"
The trio was taken aback by their master's thunderous shout, Maximo even had tears forming in the corner of his eyes.
Nevertheless, the trio only hesitated for a moment before they started retreating from the area. Although reluctant to accept it, what their master said was true. They also could not defy his orders with the earrings of loyalty still in place.
Nile stood with a firm stance, standing erect like a pillar.
His hand glowed with red before an almost two-meter devil-looking spear materialized in his hands.
"Noo! Run! D… Don't fight, you can't win. He's already a level three zombie."
Nile suddenly heard a feminine voice coming from the figure that struck him earlier.
He was taken aback as he realized that it was actually a girl and not a boy.
However, he did not blame himself too much as the figure was clad in black attire and a hoodie, making it hard to recognize her appearance.
"I know! But what can I do other than to fight?" Nile stated as his brain ran a dozen times faster, trying to come up with a strategy that might let him win against the massive level three zombie.
He knew the strength difference was vast. Based on how much strength he gained after leveling up to Level Two°, he guessed that it would also be the same when one creature advanced to Level Three.

That's also the reason why he wanted to advance to Level Three eagerly.
Knowing this, Nile felt that even if he decided to escape, the zombie would still follow them. And hence he decided to stay and try to fight while he was still at his peak.
It was a good thing that he decided to restore his state to the best form before trying to advance to level three.

His status screen flashed inside his head the last time, confirming that he was really in his best form.
The System Store and the Apocalypse Points were also ready in case of an emergency.
Before the fight started, Nile used the telepathy function to communicate with his pets first.
"Guys, I know that you all were feeling down, but trust me, you will only get yourself killed if you participated in this fight."
"For now, find a safe place and do your best to advance quickly. I might need your protection later on. Ogis, be their guard and don't let harm come their way while evolving, alright?"
"Do you guys copy?" Nile smirked inside his head as he waited for their response.
The trio did not disappoint him, as at the next second, their thunderous roar echoed in the surroundings.
Moooooo!
Grrrrrrrrrr!
Screeech!
After saying their respective response, the trio immediately turns around to search for a suitable place so that they could evolve immediately.
Nile smiled after seeing them escaping from the site.
He then turned his attention to the level three zombie again. And he could not help but comment on its hideous appearance.
"What an ugly creature! You should just die and become my Apocalypse Point!"
Nile declared with a thunderous shout.
He then swayed the devilish spear on his hand as a warm-up before he sped up towards the level three zombie.
ROARRRR!!!
As if enraged by his arrogant declaration, the level three zombie responded with a loud shout that shook the entire house before also speeding up to confront the arrogant Nile.
"Hooo… mannn!!! Da...ayyyyy!!!"

Please do not repost my work elsewhere without my written permission. What type of reader is this book for? You might enjoy The Last Orellen if you like... Clever and resourceful protagonists. Big fantasy worlds. Multiple cultures, lots of characters, many different types of magic--this story is expansive rather than closely focused on a narrow storyline. Progression fantasy that takes its time. Our main character will be progressing through magical ranks, but this is going to be a lengthy story. If you're more about the journey than the destination, this might be the book for you. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Flame Beneath The Snowfall
Alto is a world governed by Tones. Magic, as one might call it. Manifested through deep mental and physical conditioning, one can control the Tones in a way that is unique to them. The power to store items in gems, transfer life, affect a person's mind, and even the more primal abilities such as control of the elements. Those who have these supernatural abilities are called 'Vassals.' People that fully manifest their abilities are not as common as one might think, and not all Vassals acquire their ability through practice, given if conditions are met. In fact, those who had received much trauma manifest the Tones more frequently, albeit spontaneously. However, the rare kind of Vassals are those who manifest it from childhood. A gift, but not without its repercussions. Alto is stuck in a transitional era, where the line between modern and dated technology is blurred. One can travel to a city that has a tall skyline, bustling with people in sophisticated clothing, or a mere town governed by a lord, all the while riding on a powered vehicle. Cultures vary: Some turn to the more dated practices such as castes, others are more inclined to set equal footing on their people, led by nobility. Some are dedicated to become scholars, studying Alto's Tones, while others set foot on hunts, protecting lone towns from the creatures of some of the still-untamed lands. And the Vassals? Those willing are took under The Organization, an elusive group, its presence said to permeate all throughout Alto, taking care of Rogue Vassals that abuse their abilities and other businesses related to their side. But what is this story all about, you may ask? Well, set your sights on the upper portions of this huge landmass that is Alto. Yes, the 'whole' world is called Alto, but that is because the majority of the known people live on this large continent. Relieve yourself of the worrying tensions everywhere, and see the white snow. Trace the piercing mountaintops and focus your eyes between the valley. A town sits there. Mido. After realizing that the memories only left in his mind was the night of his town's imminent destruction in flames, a boy finds himself grasping for every fiber of his life as he lays down flat on the ground. Beneath him was soot mixed with the white snow. Fortunately, a group of investigators, who were supposed to answer their call for help, saved him from his sorry state. With a newfound second wind, but hampered by his loss of memory, he must solve his own case: Who had the audacity to set Mido, his town, aflame? Flame Beneath the Snowfall focuses on action, with a sense of adventure, but mostly the discovery of an outside world, and the protagonist's exposure to it. Add in a whisk of soft magical elements, and you get a story that I hope will be interesting to the readers. That is not to say that my work is without the sense of unnerving atmosphere, however. As a forewarning, there are elements of gore, horror, minor elements of mental trauma, etc. so it is not for all audiences. *The book is already completed. Although I have plans to continue the story (it would have to involve much larger scope in terms of world-building), I have yet to decide when to start the next entry.
