Into The Zombie World Chapter 238

"Follow me, I know a spot!" Jellan stated as she ran towards the direction where Nile's pets went earlier.
Nile wanted to search for his pets first but due to time constraints, he chose to ignore them for now as he really felt that he would level up on the next moment.
Although Jellan was already a peak Level Two° Human, she still could not contend with dozens or so zombies if ever they showed up.
After all, Nile was already a little traumatized about dangers showing up while they evolved.
It's better to be safe than sorry!
They could have stayed in the same house Nile and his pets chose earlier but due to the battle, he expected that area to get swarmed by zombies and hybrids after a few hours.
After a while, they finally arrived at a house that looks a little ancient. It has a metal fence that has already started to corrode and already full of twirling vines.
Even the ancient house itself already has vines growing on its side. Strangely enough, no big trees were growing out of its roof, and aside from its old appearance, the house even looks like it could still handle a storm.
Jellan stared at Nile and after seeing no particular reaction from him, she could no longer take it as she asked, "You don't find this house familiar?"
Nile suddenly stopped from that question. He stared at the house and after a while, he finally shook his head when he could not recall anything.
"I… Was I supposed to know this house?" He tilted his head in confusion.
Jellan nodded her head in response. "Yes, after all, this was where you lived during our High School days."
Jellan shook her head. It seems that his amnesia is worse than what they initially thought.

However, as much as Nile wanted to talk about it now, he could no longer take the urge he is feeling.
"I can't take it anymore, guard me while I'm out!" He hurriedly instructed Jellan before he dashed towards the ancient-looking house.
He kicked the door open and he did not waste any more of his time as he immediately dropped to the ground before passing out.
Jellan followed hurriedly and upon seeing Nile's situation, she could not help but feel worried.
However, when she recalled that he was advancing to a completely unfamiliar Level to her, she dared not disturb him anymore as she settled and sat beside him, staring lovingly at his completely ordinary face.
She then recalled her Faction members as well as the pigeon that was assigned to her. When Adam's pigeon landed on her earlier, she gave her command to the twin to go and support Emon and Dexter about the missing Apocalypse Virus.
After that, the pigeon also had another task to do, which was to go and inform Emon and Dexter that the twins were coming.
Although she does not know how Adam was able to command his pigeon, everyone has their own secrets so she didn't ask about it.
However, she wondered where the pigeon assigned to her went. She wanted to use this opportunity to inform her members that she might not be coming back.
...
The sun was already gone and the surroundings were already starting to dark. However, a huge moon hung outside trying to illuminate the dark apocalypse world.
At the south side of the town of Daan, a fierce battle was currently occurring.
On one side, there was the Pink Faction leader and Katrina, while on the other side there were the hybrids which the leader and Katrina hated so much.

The fight was already occurring for almost an hour and neither side wanted to back out.
It all started when Pink Gang Leader and Katrina were on their way back to the Pink Surge Faction base.
As what they have planned in advance, the Pink Surge Faction high-ranking members need to go back to the base during the night.
Katrina and the leader had already reached the periphery of the Town hall to observe and see if any signs of the Beheader were spotted there.
When they confirmed that it was peaceful, they hurriedly deserted the dangerous area as the leader also could not hide their trembling body anymore.
However, what they didn't know was that they were being followed by a group of hybrids that spotted them.
And the moment the sun goes down, the hybrids immediately struck, catching them off guard.
The Pink Faction Leader and Katrina were already full of wounds, especially the leader which always saved Katrina from being killed from time to time.
However, the leader did not say anything as they endured the pain coursing through their body.
Their sacrifice was also not for naught as five hybrids were already taken down from the process.
The leader's body was still shaking due to the rage that they were feeling about the hybrids on the Town Hall.
They could not help but recall what happened two months ago.
However, currently, they are near the base of the hybrid and even though they had already killed five hybrids, more was still coming as a reinforcement.
After all, every night, the hybrids would survey the whole town to search for foods to eat.
"Give it up, already. Our strength is boosted heavily when the sun is out. Not to mention we greatly outnumbered you two."
"If I were you, I would surely abandon that human girl and escape on my own. Perhaps that way, you still have a chance to live."
The hybrids ridiculed the leader for their shitty action. At the age of the Apocalypse, saving someone should be the last thing one should do to survive.
Although the food was not that scarce, having someone who is only a burden is worse than having no food to eat.
"Shut up!" The leader shouted in a loud voice startling the hybrids in the process.
"Fool!"
"Kill that arrogant fellow!"
The one in the middle orders the dozens of hybrids around him with a smile.
"Yahoo!"
"I'll have that woman's meaty ass for myself."
"Don't fight with me, her eyes goes to me!"
The hybrids burst into a maniacal cheer as they started dashing towards the leader and Katrina one by one while laughing hysterically.

Beast
A threat to the galaxy has come from another, and the Union of intelligent life will go to any length to stop it. Military Quarantine has held for hundreds of thousands of cycles. Traders, merchants, colonists, and Pirates live risky lives along the fringes as the politics from the inner systems fail to see the larger threats beyond their borders. A lone human finds himself far from home with no memories to how he arrived. A failing Trade vessel plays on a desperate gamble, while a malicious parasite searches for a suitable host. ............................................. Author's note: Beast is a story that I wrote a long, long time ago. Some of you might have read it then, back when it was posted on reddit over at r/HFY. It was my first webfiction and made in the spirit of that subreddit's "genre" of humanity being awesome. But, it is also a story that has bothered me a little bit. Just like most new writers tend to do, I made mistakes and errors that feel painful to reread. A Space Opera will be a Space Opera, but I had prose that makes present-me cringe. Still, at the same time, the story is still very much a tale I've never given up on. It was my first adventure into fiction: Beast was a crazy adventure with bodysnatching aliens, galactic war, threats from across the universe... Posting this story here is a way to try and redeem myself a bit. I won't call it a complete rewrite, because it's not, but I have wanted to go through and correct some of the major issues Beast has for a long time and put it somewhere more accessible to read (instead of as posts/comments on reddit) and I figure that now is as good a time as any. Additional corrections you might notice are welcome.

Chains of Dominion
If Jake wins the local Fantasy Tactics Online tournament, he’ll have everything he’s ever dreamed of — a ticket out of town and the attention of a beautiful woman. However, this woman has more planned for him than a bus ride to the local metropolis. She teleports him back to her Realm and declares him her Master… and says it’s up to him to save the world. No pressure. Rival Dominions vie for power, and they are all far larger and more organized than Jake’s rag-tag group of women, but he has two advantages: the rules of this world are eerily similar to those of Fantasy Tactics Online, and his wildest dirtiest sexual fantasies act as a power multiplier for his all-female army. Warning: The heroes have intense tactical battles, wild kinky sex, and near-constant flirtation. The villains are disturbing and cruel. If the idea of villains doing bad things bothers you, please do not read books ever, but especially don’t read this one.

The Fall
Perhaps the most well known of all devils, demons, or fallen angels is the one known as Lucifer, Satan, the Father of Lies. The cultural influence of this figure throughout history is by no means small. Despite that, it wasn’t until the time of Milton’s classic – Paradise Lost – that we saw an attempt to portray a dramatized version of the events leading to this figure’s fall from grace and power. And while this is the case, Paradise Lost is not about Lucifer – though it goes into great detail about his potential musings. No, Paradise Lost was, and still is, about the fall of mankind. So, in light of this, and the feeling that the classical story deserved another telling, I present to you all The Fall – a story focused particularly on Lucifer’s fall from grace and his musings both before and after.
