Feng Xinying shook her head. She thought that it would be better if the doctor talked to Xie Yuansheng and then she could understand his condition more based on which she could ask her questions. Both Xie Shengjun and Keira also didn't have too many questions but one thing they knew was that they could never force him to remember the past. After the doctor answered their questions, they all left his chamber to visit Xie Yuansheng. In the meantime, he also called his fellow doctor who was a psychiatrist in the same hospital because it was essential for him to perform tests to see his level of severity of amnesia.

In the room Lu Boyun had been feeding Xie Yuansheng with the choicest of the dishes. He was so happy catering to Xie Yuansheng that even before he would say anything a new dish would come in front of him. Xie Yuansheng talked to Lu Boyun nonstop. He was talking about all the dishes as to how were they prepared. He asked Lu Boyun, "How long have you been Feng Xinying's butler?"

"Ever since she was a child," answered Lu Boyun knowing fully well that Xie Yuansheng didn't remember anything now.

"My name is Shengu and I am an excellent cook," said Xie Yuansheng looking expectantly at Lu Boyun.

Lu Boyun smiled and said, "Really? That is a fantastic thing. We should discuss how to make more dishes then."

Xie Yuansheng pursed his lips. He wanted to give him a hint but this man wasn't catching it. "So how many people are there in Feng Xinying's kitchen? I mean does she stay alone or she has a family? What about her husband?"

Lu Boyun raised his eyebrows and looked at him. "At the moment there are too many and I keep telling her to reduce the manpower." He started picking the plates and clearing the place.

Xie Yuansheng felt sad. How would he now tell his proposition to Feng Xinying? Suddenly he thought of an idea. He looked at Lu Boyun and said, "How old are you Lu Boyun?"

Lu Boyun was shocked at his question. "Why do you ask that?" He paused and then added, "I may look old but I am very young at heart and also make the best food in the kitchen and also I am the head of all the servants."

Xie Yuansheng nodded his head but he had his plan ready that he would present in front of Feng Xinying.

While they were talking, the doctor, psychiatrist and the rest of them entered the room. They looked at the two of them conversing. Feng Xinying was especially interested in the looks of the faces of the two of them. What were they talking about?

The doctor happily greeted him and said, "We had been waiting for you Mr. Xie Yuansheng to wake up."

"I am Shengu, not Xie Yuansheng," replied Xie Yuansheng nonchalantly.

"Oh! Sorry, I didn't know your name," said the doctor. Then he looked at the psychiatrist and said, "He is all yours."

The psychiatrist performed tests on him just to assess his cognitive skills. He asked him very basic questions like what is the date today. The date he said was the date and year in which Yini had died. Then he talked about recent events and went through certain scenarios. Once the tests were performed, the doctor said, "I am done and will send the reports soon."

Feng Xinying followed the doctors outside. She was too keen to know his situation. "Please tell me doctor, how is Xie Yuansheng? I am nervous and want to help him come out of this situation as soon as possible."

"With the basic tests that I have performed on him, it seems that his brain is functioning well. So it is not very serious. Perhaps the trauma was trey much and so he lost his memory however, I think he should regain his memory soon. In either case you cannot force him. We have to treat the underlying cause of his situation and you have to find what that is. Once we know what is the main reason as to why is he holding back, you would know the direction. He has locked his past memories somewhere in his brain and he is only processing the ones that comfort him. We need to know what is it that is bothering him. What is it that would unlock those memories?"

Feng Xinying took a deep breath. "Okay, I will try my best to understand him." She knew that the problem had just started. Xie Yuansheng didn't recognize her but he was attached to her younger self, Yini. She had to pick up the threads from there. "What about medication?" she asked.

"I will write that down and send it to you," replied the psychiatrist. "You can refer me anytime of bring him to me anytime you like."

"Sure," she replied and the doctors left.

When she went inside the room she found Xie Shengjun joking with Xie Yuansheng. The two of them were laughing and Keira was looking peeved so perhaps the joke was on Keira.

When his gaze fell upon Feng Xinying, he became quiet and looked at her with anticipation. "What have to doctors to say about me?"

Feng Xinying tilted her head and replied seriously, "They say that you have to be monitored all the time for a few days." She wanted to assess him as to how he felt about leaving her.

Xie Yuansheng nodded like that bobble head in your car. "I know!"

"So perhaps he will rehabilitate you-"

Before she could complete her sentence, Xie Yuansheng cut her and quickly said, "I am a fantastic cook. Lu Boyun has become old and I think you would need a new butler. I tasted the dishes he had made and I can make them better than him! So can I become a cook at your place? That way I can repay your benevolence towards me and also you can monitor me all the time."
