“Huh?” Skimming through the status report, Lexi’s brows raised even more reading the dry congratulatory in Churu’s rewards.

“Why do I sense the sarcasm behind it?” She murmured at the attitude on the written report of the system. Does the system and Churu had an argument? Why does she think that this time, Churu and the system wasn’t one?

Shrugging the matter off, Lexi glanced at her lap and gently pet the sleeping dumpling. Just then, Lexi once again heard the notification sound that caused her to abruptly raise her head.

Dumbfounded, Lexi’s jaw nearly dropped on the ground as she was being spammed with this allure points! And worse? It seemed it wasn’t stopping any moment! Placing her palms on her ear, Lexi felt irritated at the constant pinging sound.

“Ugggh, what is that guy doing — is there a mute button?” Through her gritted teeth, Lexi’s uttered. Surely, this constant spamming sound was too insane that might affect her mind if it continues. Also, what is Ethan doing to realize his feelings for her? For Christ’s sake, she hadn’t done anything just yet!

After some time, Churu suddenly opened her eyes — feeling fully recharged and hyper! “Chuu~!!! I’m back baby!”

The moment Churu felt the enormous energy flowing through her veins, she danced in the air with her waist moving sideways while her arms moved upward and downward in jubilation.

“I am finally free chu!! Oh yeah, baby! Lexi got the role — double celebration, yay! Oh! Mr. Main task spamming allure points chu!” The moment Churu recalled all the things she missed to leave a comment, she continuously blurted out without a thought of Lexi’s stress.

“Uhhh, Sissy, will you mute this?” Massaging her temples, Lexi was distressed as she could still hear the spamming sound of the system which was annoying to the core.

“Oh…” Turning to see the distress Lexi, Churu snapped her fingers that silenced the system’s notification sound. Tilting her head sideways, Churu giddily probed.

“Say say Lexi — what do you think that triggered Mr. Main task to realized his feelings~?”

Heaving a sigh of relief, Lexi raised her stressed eyes to the flying dumpling that came back to her original merry, always excited attitude. “I don’t know!” She rolled her eyes, still massaging her temple, Lexi added.

“Also, I’m starting to doubt that this system is for me — it should be his since Ethan’s doing all the work.”

“I know right? Hihi. Omo omo~! Will he go here chu~?” Thinking of possible happenings if these points kept on adding up, Churu was on fire.

Hours had passed and it was almost dinner yet, Lexi’s allure points already reached 40 and counting. Though it wasn’t as constant unlike earlier, it was still garnering enough points from time to time.

Lexi didn’t bother by it as she was relieved that she could not hear the spam notification from the system and decided to continue her night rituals. While applying her moisturizer, Lexi heard a faint knock from outside her bedroom.

Raising her brows as she halted her skincare routine, Lexi spoke. “Come in.”

“Young miss, someone sent this for you.” As soon as Lexi permitted her to come, a middle-aged maid entered — bringing flowers and several paper bags with her.

“Oh… place them there. Thank you.” Putting down the jar of moisturizer, Lexi stood from her seat as she instructed one of their longtime maids to place it on the soft pink sofa on the corner of her enormous room.

After accomplishing the instruction, the maid bowed her head before she wordlessly left her room. Lexi strode to the things that were given to her. She picked up the bouquet of red roses and sniffed its aromatic fragrance.

“Hmm?” Seeing the small card along with the flowers, Lexi raised her brows as she picked it up and read its short content; it says,

“Wow wow wow~! Flowers from Mr. Main Task chu~!” Churu who was the happiest of all commented on the side as she read the short message from the small card. Though part of her was slightly disappointed that he didn’t add something cheesy with it, these gifts slightly appeased her.

Just then, Lexi’s phone rang that snapped her from her stupor. Going to the side of her bed while carrying the bouquet of fresh red roses, Lexi picked up her ringing phone and saw Ethan’s caller ID.

Without a second hesitation, Lexi answered the call. “Hello?”

“Hey… Uhm, did you received my congratulatory gifts?” Sounding a little awkward and conflicted, he inquired.

“Hmmm… thanks.” Lexi was about to say that he didn’t have to do this and it was a little too much, however, she decided not to. Hence, she only spouted her ‘thanks’.

Ethan: “Hehe, right.”

Sensing his strange tone, Lexi raised her brows as her curiosity was piqued. Since Ethan was somehow realizing his feelings for her, thus, Lexi wanted to know what happened. “Hmm? What are you doing?”

Ethan: “Ah, nothing — just… I need to undergo soul searching. I left your training and diet schedule with the gifts so, yeah. Just letting you know.”

“Huh? Soul searching?” Dismayed on his news, the corner of her eyes twitched. She shouldn’t be surprised right? However, she could not believe that Ethan’s persistence not to fall for her or rather, acknowledge his feelings for her was this intense that he’d wander the world just to forget about it? .
