The next day…

Even before Lexi could open her eyes, her whole lower body felt sore that made her let out a protesting groan. “Hmm-!”

“Morning…” Suddenly, Ethan Lu’s hoarse voice and muscular arm wrapped around her bare waist. He slightly pulled her to his embrace while his eyes were still closed. This was the best morning that he always dreamt about since falling in love with her. He never knew that mornings could be exciting if the person he dearly loved was the first person he could greet and embrace.

While Ethan Lu was recalling all the fantasies he had in the past, Lexi, on the other hand instantly stiffened as all the memories about last night came rushing inside her mind. Indeed, she really did it with him— she’s not a virgin anymore!

For some reason, Lexi found it hard to face the man hugging her from behind as her whole face had a crimson red complexion early in the morning. After a beat, she realized that his hands were touching her bare skin. Thus, in a slow, almost robotic manner, Lexi checked her body beneath the thick blanket.

Seeing her naked body, her eyes dilated as she realized that she fell asleep after that intense lovemaking with him. Regardless, although she clearly remembered that she perspired last night, she felt tacky free as if she bathed before going to bed. God knows that Lexi could not sleep if she didn’t freshen herself up.

However, due to extreme fatigue of their unprecedented cherry popping act and having a few drinks at the party, Lexi fell to a deep slumber. Hence, did she slept walk after falling asleep? Impossible, right? Then, did Ethan bathe her?

Her train of thought was quite ridiculous as she thought of such a thing instead of the fact that she surrendered her body to Ethan Lu and her aching bottom. Suddenly, her mind buzzed as she realized one thing— he had no protection and came inside her!

“Oh my god!” Abruptly sitting up, Lexi screamed so loud that she woke Ethan Lu from his happy thoughts. The thick blanket immediately slid down on her waist and the chilled breeze in the room kissed her bare top good morning. Regardless, she ignored all that as she briskly turned and glared at the oblivious man that was rubbing his weary eyes.

“Love, is this how you do your morning prayers?” Languidly asking, Ethan Lu supported himself by his elbow as his other hand reached for her. Since he was tired last night and had to work until dawn to free his schedule for the day, hence, he was pretty much half awake and asleep at the same time.

Alas, even before his hand could touch her arm, Lexi slapped the back of his hand. “Ethan, you–” Lexi grinded her teeth as she realized his scheme last night. After all, he must have known that unloading inside might impregnate her.

Well, although she didn’t want to entirely blame him about it but the fact that bearing a child right before she fixed herself shook her to the core! Therefore, instead of reflecting on herself and act mature, Lexi somewhat wanted to vent her irresponsible action to him just because she could.

“I what? Love, let’s sleep more…” Frowning, Ethan Lu lowly pleaded as he opened his arms gesturing her to return to his embrace and cuddle again.

“Ethan, did you intentionally, umm…” Lexi halted as she pondered what term should she use that wouldn’t sound a little indecent but to no avail, she could not think properly as she was lost for words.

“Hmm?” Knitting his brows as his frown never drifted away, Ethan Lu patiently waited for her question that made her scream early in the morning. Yet, she seemed she was struggling to continue as her lips trembled.

“Love, what is it?”

“I think I’m pregnant.” Shifting her question to a horrifying statement, Lexi let out a heavy scoff as her usually composed cunning mind ran wild. She imagined herself with a baby bump and the horror of giving birth. Although she never mind having a kid at her age, still, she needed some preparation before conceiving a child.

“Haha,” Upon hearing her too advanced concern, Ethan Lu could not help but chuckle. Well, that was what he wanted after all. He knew it was selfish of him and he could not use his intense desire to have her as a wife as an excuse.

Ethan Lu then crawled to her as he snuggled on her lap while wrapping his arms around her waist. He muttered, “I’ll be responsible then.”

Fortunately, Lexi was in a trance as she didn’t retaliate with his warm snuggle. He then stroked her nude back and felt that it was gradually turning cold that forced Ethan Lu to sit up and grabbed the hem of the blanket then placed it on her shoulders.

Peering at her terrified front, Ethan Lu cupped both her cheeks to snap her out of wherever her mind was wandering. “Love, let’s not think about that for now, okay? Although it will greatly disappoint me if you’re not pregnant with my child.”

“Ethan!”

“Shh–” Shushing her by placing a soft loving peck on her lips, Ethan Lu parted from her lips before he could lose control and nibble on it. “I know it’s selfish of me and I can’t say words that could wash your worries away but…” he paused as his gaze scanned her displeased front.

“… I will never let you down including the little sprout that we’re unsure if it was planted or not. I’ll take responsibility for what happened last night and our days ahead— I will protect you and love you until my last breath.”

As Lexi listened to his sentiments, she pursed her lips as she literally had nothing to say anymore. He was too matured in serious matters despite being goofy all the time. Moreover, he was right. It was too early to be paranoid if she was pregnant or not. At the very least, she should focus on her career and work really hard to establish the business she wanted to build not just for her future but for her child— which she was unsure of.

Heaving a heavy sigh, Lexi rolled her eyes as she mildly shook her head.

“Let’s sleep more, okay?” Seeing that she calmed down, Ethan Lu tenderly smiled as he guided her back to bed and back to cuddling.

“I feel sick,” Lexi softly complained as Ethan Lu covered her bareback— sounding like a pampered princess complaining to her hero.
