The Rise of the White Lotus Chapter 312 – Why are you all over the place?

When the door beside her opened, Lexi glanced up at Nico Zhuang and meekly nodded her head. There was no turning back, she would have to face everything with the man she dared to open her heart to. To the man that was waiting for her, with her hand to firmly hold onto his.

“Nico, when I get inside, you won’t be able to stay behind me, will you?”

“I can’t but I will watch you from a distance and give you a heads up if danger approaches.” Lightly shaking his head sideways, Nico Zhuang explained as he could not accompany Lexi inside. After all, his presence should only be limited to the Lu’s and he should keep his low profile as much as he could because at any given time, perhaps in the future, if anything bad happened, his profile must not link to the Lu Family.

The only reason why Ethan Lu dared to take the risk and let him stay with Lexi was that Lexi’s life was the most important thing to him. Moreover, Ethan Lu could not entrust Lexi to anyone that has the same capabilities as him but Nico Zhuang himself. This only shows his trust and also, his power to protect Nico Zhuang in the future as he owed him big time.

Although Nico Zhuang never thought about it that way, still, Ethan Lu felt indebted to him in one way or another. After all, he could work at ease knowing that there was a capable and righteous man beside her.

“I see… thank you.” Meekly smiling, Lexi nodded her head and slowly exited the car before Nico Zhuang silently closed the door behind her.

‘Ethan, I hope you haven’t done anything foolish just yet or I’ll kill you.’ Instead of a loving remark, the side of her lips curled into a terrifying smirk. Well, she hasn’t forgotten the fact that the grandfather and grandson duo just gave her the shock of her life with a child inside her. How dare those two scare her child to the core!

Surely, after knowing and accepting her pregnancy, Lexi always used the baby inside of her as an excuse for everything. Alas, just as she was close to the entrance from the parking space, a familiar figure was caught in the corner of her eyes.

Turning her head to the lady walking closer to her while playing with her keys that jumped up and down on her hand, as if she was just taking a walk around the park, Lexi’s brows creased. She knew this woman as she had several encounters with her. Moreover, one way or another, she indirectly helped her in the past. But, what was Seraphina Yue doing here?

Lexi scanned her from head to toe and was certain that she wasn’t there to attend the event. After all, she was just wearing a black, slightly loose pants, a plain t-shirt underneath her leather black jacket. Unaware, there was a glint that flashed across Nico Zhuang’s eyes as he sensed immediate danger seeing the seemingly harmless woman.

“Oh! Beauty!” Sensing the scrutinizing gaze ahead of her, Seraphina Yue caught her keys in the air and her eyes lit up seeing a real-life goddess. After three blinks, she giddily glided her way towards Lexi upon realizing it was her. Alas, even before she could reach Lexi, she was halted as Nico Zhuang swiftly halted her.

If Nico Zhuang was not keen enough, he would not notice that Seraphina Yue stopped just as he approached and smoothly prevented herself from touching him.

“Who are you?” Intimidating and cold, Nico Zhuang showed that one wrong answer, he would take extra precaution as she posed a threat to him and to Lexi. He doesn’t know why but his instinct tells him that this woman was dangerous.

“Nico, I know her.” Puzzled at Nico Zhuang’s sudden coldness, Lexi spoke. It was as if she was reminded of the earlier event when Nico Zhuang flung a small dagger to one of Edward Lu’s guards as if he was really aiming for the guard’s head. Still, Lexi believed that Seraphina Yue was kind… or at least, to her despite the oddness of their interactions.

“Heh, ya heard that Nicorino?” Purposely getting on the nerve of the Nico Zhuang as she addressed him and was a skilled guard of Lexi that got no zero chill, Seraphina Yue raised her brows in an up and down motion before shifting her gaze to Lexi.

“Beauty Lexi, why are you all over the place?” Grinning as she asked her question, Lexi could not help her under-eye but twitch.

‘Me? All over the place? Shouldn’t I be the one asking that question instead?’ Lexi could not help but respond inwardly as she didn’t expect such a sudden inquiry. Still, Lexi still responded and ignored her weird wording.

“I am here to attend an event. How about you Miss Yue?”

“Oh, right! The Lu’s— same, though I already gave my good words to Edward.” Nodding in acknowledgment, Seraphina Yue grinned brightly.

‘Edward? Did she just address Chairman Lu with his name as if they were of the same age?’ Stunned, Lexi was just as shocked as Nico Zhuang upon hearing her call the respected Edward Lu by his first name.

Seraphina Yue then walked to the side where her motorbike was parked. Picking up her black helmet, she started setting it up on her head and when she was done, she put the eye protector lid up and turned to Lexi.

“By the way, since you’re meeting them, I mean those humble Lu’s, let me give you a piece of advice— you don’t need any sharp object because you can always defeat them using this.” Seraphina Yue then pointed her forefinger on her head as if telling her she needed to outsmart them, always.

“Huh?”

“Well, that’s all, bye bye Beauty~! Thank you for gracing and purifying my eyes with your beauty~” With that said note, Seraphina Yue revved up her motorbike that produced a loud noise that rang across the whole parking space. “Right, also, the person to be wary the most is Lou’s father— is it his father? I forgot though— damn this clan of men.” Shrugging her shoulders, Seraphina Yue was about to speed away, alas…

“Wait—!” Being halted by Lexi, Seraphina Yue turned her head to her and slightly tilted her head to the side.

“How did— Why are—” Even before Lexi could ask her first question out of hundreds, Seraphina Yue grinned and interrupted.

“Helping you? Maybe, because we are created by the same creator who loves us dearly. Bye bye~” With that said note, Seraphina Yue winked and without further ado, she sped away as if she was on a highway road.
