The Rise of the White Lotus Chapter 324 – I am being kind to her?

As Lexi and Ethan Lu’s hearts were connected while just staring at each other, they were interrupted by Aubrey Ning’s greeting.

“I’m sorry to interrupt your lovely atmosphere, Mr. Lu and Miss Yang.” As usual, Aubrey Ning’s attire was daringly hot with her big size breasts tempting to break free from her tight dress. She stood with poise with a glass of wine in her hand, her dangling fur shawl on her bent arms added to her elegance.

Turning towards her direction, Lexi subtly smiled while Ethan Lu, on the other hand, frowned by her interruption. He wanted to be more lovey-dovey with Lexi and maybe ask Lyrick Jiang for the musician to play a love song so he could dance with Lexi. However, Aubrey Ning just audaciously came into the scene.

“Oh ho, Mr. Lu, please don’t be mad.” Chuckling upon seeing the unconcealed displeasured expression plastered across Ethan Lu’s face, Aubrey Ning said. “Take this as revenge for using me.”

“I didn’t use you. I just said something and your actions afterward are all your decisions.” Ethan Lu lowly and shamelessly rebutted. Well, how could she blame him for his deliberate slip of the tongue?

“Makes sense,” Nonchalantly shrugging her shoulders, Aubrey Ning turned to her new business partner with a smile. “Well, I never actually thought or rather…” pausing for a moment, Aubrey Ning glanced at Ethan Lu before she continued. “Rather, I already guessed but without any hard proof, I didn’t conclude that you are Mr. Lu’s woman, Miss Yang.”

“Miss Ning, what deal we have is between two businesswomen. Ethan is out of it and just like what he said, what you offered after his slip of the tongue is all on your own.” Lexi smiled back as she easily worded her sentence as bluntly as possible. After all, based on her observation, Aubrey Ning prefers someone to be brutally honest even if it hit a nerve instead of being coaxed by sweet yet empty words.

“Hahaha…!” Chuckling upon hearing Lexi’s unfiltered words, Aubrey Ning used the back of her hand to cover her painted crimson red lips. “That’s true. Miss Yang, the more I interact with you, the more I like you.”

“Miss Ning, I can smell your masochism.” Nearly rolling his eyes, Ethan Lu got a whiff of Aubrey Ning’s masochistic side as she seemed to seduce Lexi with her gaze. “Also, please refrain from looking at my Lexi like that. I might think you have other intentions.”

“Mr. Lu, I am just showing my awe to Miss Yang. Please don’t take it the wrong way.” Feigning innocence, Aubrey Ning giggled as she felt gleeful for taunting Ethan Lu.

“Ay! Anyway, this is my friend Elliot Gong. He’s super popular. Why don’t you chat with him for a while, eh?” Fortunately, he caught the peaceful Elliot Gong on the side which gave EthanLu the idea of how to scoot Aubrey Ning away. Therefore, Ethan Lu skipped to the side and dragged Elliot Gong who was having a nice conversation with one of his guests while drinking a glass of wine without short notice.

“Eli, this is Miss Aubrey Ning, owner of dermazing.” Introducing them to each other, Ethan Lu grinned that made Lexi slightly shake her head sideways.

“Pleased to meet you, Miss Ning.” Despite the abrupt action of Ethan Lu that nearly made him choke on the glassful of wine he was about to drink. Still, Elliot Gong managed to gulp down the liquor in his throat with great effort and smiled as he offered his hand to Aubrey Ning.

“So am I, Mr. Gong. I have been meaning to invite you to be the newest endorser of our men’s skincare product…” Even though Aubrey Ning knew what was Ethan Lu was doing, well, it was actually her agenda. For him to introduce her to someone interesting and Elliot Gong was probably the best choice he had. After all, Aubrey Ning had already had her eyes on Elliot Gong but since his schedule was pretty tight, she’ll just take this chance to propose a deal to him for being the endorser of her products.

“She got you this time.” Arching her brows, Lexi smirked at the relieved Ethan Lu as she already guessed what was Aubrey Ning’s real purpose was for disturbing him.

“She won’t stop until I personally introduce her to someone. Well, Eli just saves the day, I mean night. Hehe.” Ethan Lu grinned because finally, he got rid of Aubrey Ning with the help of Elliot Gong’s presence. Fortunately, Elliot Gong seemed to love him so dearly that he attended tonight’s banquet despite his busy schedule and now, he’s serving his purpose.

Just then, Lyrick Jiang returned and approached from behind before he sternly spoke. “Master, the elders are waiting for you.”

“Oh…” Upon hearing his reliable assistant, Ethan Lu was reminded about the private party he was also hosting that only the core members of the Lu family had. Nodding in acknowledgment, Ethan Lu turned to Lexi who was already staring back at him.

“My lady, are you ready to meet my family?” Marginally raising his brows with a complicated smile on his lips, still, Ethan Lu felt conflicted and anxious to Lexi for the meeting and would officially be a part of the Lu family.

Naturally, Lexi nodded and returned his smile with a reassuring one, “I’ll be fine… they should be the ones who should worry and not me.” To make her more believable, Lexi humored which effectively made him loosen up.

“Remember, you can’t be that kind to them just like how you were to that Serina Du.” Giving her a warning, Ethan Lu made his lips into a thin line as he heavily exhaled.

“It’s Stella Du, not Serina.” Lexi chuckled as she didn’t know whether he was pretending not to remember her name or he was thinking that it was not worthy to remember. “Also, who told you I am being kind to her?” Her last remarks were low but were audible enough for Ethan Lu and Lyrick Jiang to hear which made the two furrow their brows.

“I just did what I had to because…” pausing while sliding her arms around his, Lexi diabolically whispered. “Because she’s mine to destroy in the first place.” With that said note, a vicious glint flashed across her eyes. Well, Lexi hasn’t forgotten her oath to her babies and what that Stella Du did to them in their showcase. Therefore, she wanted to personally deliver her wrath to her by crushing her company to bits with her own power.

Of course, upon hearing it, Ethan Lu could only stare at the smiling Lexi in a daze while Lyrick Jiang who doubled his perception to his ears to hear his goddess / heroine nearly dropped his jaw.

‘Madam, don’t use that tone— it’s scary!’ Lyrick Jiang swallowed a mouthful of saliva as he stared at Lexi’s back. Even when Ethan Lu recovered from his shock and they both headed to the said part of the hotel, Lyrick Jiang constantly glanced at Lexi. He could not help but be in awe and be terrified as Lexi not only was the perfect future madam Lu but she seemed she would fit well in the Lu family affairs as her train of thought was always unpredictable.
