The Rise of the White Lotus Chapter 363 – Daddy…?

As promised, Ethan Lu immediately wired a few hundred thousand dollars to his beloved cousin’s bank account. Glancing at the happy kiddo named Lexi Yang that was enjoying some pudding sent from her mother, he helplessly smiled as his gaze softened.

“Tastes good?” Resting his chin on the back of his hand, Ethan Lu inquired as he savored every moment through Lexi’s pregnancy and the days after that.

Granted that every passing day has become challenging: managing the whole Lu Corporation, dealing with the problematic and troublesome Lu family members, assisting Lexi to their upcoming wedding, and looking after Lexi’s health. Regardless of that fact, Ethan Lu never felt more productive and happily exhausted at the same time.

After all, it was for his beloved future wife and their children’s future. Little did he know, Ethan Lu had been staring at her for as long as Lexi could remember with weary yet loving eyes.

“Love…” Raising her head, Lexi finally stared back at him after she gulped the portion of pudding she had. Meekly smiling, Lexi offered a spoonful of the said dessert to in front of his mouth. “Eat as well, will you? You won’t get full by just looking at me you know?” Although Lexi had been focused on cheerfully eating while waiting for the pizza that made her want to drool, still, she could sense the unbreaking stare that was on her.

“That’s where you are wrong, my love. Just looking at your beautiful and happy face satisfied me already.” Chuckling, Ethan Lu’s usual romantic banter was thrown. “Also, we had a heavy dinner. Baby, you’re making me fat.” He humored that made her purse her lips on a thin line.

“That’s the plan— let’s get fat together!” Irrationally reasoned out, Lexi grinned. Well, he was right as Ethan Lu did eat all the food she had prepared for him that was twice the size of his usual food intake. Well, Lexi had been gaining weight, therefore, she had to secure her man to repel the pests that like to show up out of nowhere.

“My, my,” Shaking his head, Ethan Lu chuckled as he was over the moon as he liked this version of his wifey. After all, Lexi had been a little more verbal of her thoughts and her emotions were sometimes out of control. Nevertheless, the feeling that Lexi was worried that someone would snatch him away from her moved him.

“Come on, love. I can’t let you run around looking so handsome while I am in the ugly yet beautiful stage of my pregnancy, eheh.” Insisting on the plan of the year, Lexi grinned brightly as she waved the spoon that has a dessert on it. Her action, of course, caused a burst of resounding laughter from the groom to be before he abruptly caught the spoon with his mouth.

“Hmm, sweet.” Nodding in acknowledgment, Ethan Lu gulped the soft pudding as he wiped the corners of his mouth with a tissue. “But, you’re the sweetest… rawr.” Giving her a knowing look, Lexi bit her bottom lip to resist herself from laughing.

“Really?” Arching her brows, Lexi feigned innocence as she slightly flipped a few strands of hair dangling from her loose bun.

“Hmm, actually, I need to confirm it again.” With that said note, Ethan Lu suddenly rose from his seat as his upper body stretched towards Lexi. Within a second, his moist lips dominated hers for three short seconds. Retracting his head a little, Ethan Lu licked his lower lip before a smirk formed on the side of his lips. “Yep, it is confirmed you’re the sweetest.”

“Unfair~! One more please,” Pouting like a cute little princess, Lexi puffed her cheeks as she plucked her lips for her second kiss. In her eyes, Ethan Lu’s charms are getting astounding by the day. For her, he was the most good looking man and hot at the same time.

“Haha!” Just as Ethan Lu was about to move forward, they heard the doorbell ring that stopped him in his tracks. “That must be the pizza. Wait.” Raising his brows in an up and down motion, Ethan Lu left a peck on Lexi’s lips before jolting from his seat and hurriedly left the dining area.

As Lexi watched him leave, she didn’t know whether to be happy or annoyed at the same time. Her tummy wanted the pizza but her lips were asking for his. Well, her patience had been running thin as Lexi, herself was undecided what she wanted.

“*sigh* I guess the pizza for the kids is the priority… right, chummies?” Rubbing her tummy, Lexi looked down as she smiled and threw the desire of her aroused body from being touched by Ethan Lu’s gentleness.

After that, Lexi decided to follow him to see the greatness of the wonderful pizza her hubby made a way to get his hands on at this late hour. Little did she know, Lexi would almost have a heart attack the next minute.

“I’m coming!” Dragging his feet towards the entrance of the door, Ethan Lu slightly shouted upon hearing the second doorbell. As soon as he reached the front door, Ethan Lu didn’t bother to check who it was as they were only expecting the delivery of the pizza.

“I’m sor—” Just as he opened the door, Ethan Lu’s apologetic dialogue came to an abrupt halt as his eyes laid on the pretty woman standing before him. Blinking his eyes to confirm if he was seeing right, Ethan Lu’s eyes widened in shock as his words were stuck on his throat.

“Love~” Behind him, Lexi was nearly skipping her steps as her thoughts were filled with slices of pizza and sugar. Alas, the next second, a child’s voice made her tracks stopped and her brows knitted together.

“Daddy!” Not only Lexi but also, Ethan Lu was stood rooted on the ground when a little person wrapped his arms around his leg and called him ‘daddy’.

Hurrying her steps, Lexi soon reached Ethan Lu’s standpoint and saw a woman standing outside the door while looking down on the child that was hugging her future husband’s leg. In an instant, her heart pounded louder and louder as her complexion paled.
